Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm. Let's stay connected. We're in prayer. God is with each and every one of us, and let's just remind ourselves that John 3 16 is over all of our lives, for God so loved the world.
Without further ado, we're jumping straight into Psalm 94. This is the title for this prayer, Jesus. When anxiety rises, let your love bring me peace. Holy God, Lord, when anxiousness rises, when fear rises, when doubt rises, Lord, when we feel scared, Lord, in these early doors, Father, we pray for this night prayer that your covering, your love, your mercy, your saving grace is over each and every
one of us. But Lord, we thank you for Psalm 94, verse 19. When anxiety was great within me, your love brought me joy. Let's just repeat that. When anxiety was great within me, your love brought me joy. Father, I thank you that your love brings us joy. And you tell us, dear God, in the New Testament, come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. You will find, we will find rest with Jesus. Lord, we need to find rest. Lord, in a very busy and a very turbulent world. Lord, we got to find this place of rest. Lord, we thank you right now. Lord, let your peace and your love and your mercy, Lord, let salvation, Lord, just carry us through this hour. Lord, through this nighttime prayer, through these moments, Lord, as we're just, Lord, waiting on the Lord. Father, help us to wait on the Lord. Jesus, we come
to you right now. Lord, there's nowhere else to go. Father, we don't want to keep looking on social platforms. Lord, we don't want to keep listening to the news channels. Father, we don't want to engage in the conversations of the world. Lord, we don't want to bounce to the rhythm of what the world is doing. Lord, we want to lean into Jesus. We want to walk with the Messiah. We want to walk with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We want to feel your presence and your grace and your love over our lives. Jesus, we pray for peace in such a restless time of life. I pray for those, dear God, that are just moving around right now in their mind. Lord, they're trying to rest, their eyes are tired, their eyelids are closing. But Lord, through this night prayer, Father, we pray that joy will break through. Lord, if anyone feels unsettled, I just pray right now that you'll turn their heart towards you. Lord, if anyone, dear God, is looking for an answer in their lives, that they will see the answer in the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. But Father, we thank you for the great book, dear God, of Psalms 94. When anxiousness was great within me, your love brought me joy. Father, we thank you that the word of God is bringing us joy, that the word of God is bringing us to a place of hope. Lord, when anxiety
feels heavy, Lord, bring a light presence of yourself. Lord, when we feel uncomfortable, Lord, bring hope. When we are rushing around, dear God, in our minds, Lord, we're laying in bed right now. Lord, we're just coming to the end of the evening. Lord, the night is beginning. Lord, and I pray that, Lord, as our bodies start to come down to a slow, but our minds are still racing. We're thinking about emails. We're thinking about text. We're laying in bed. Lord, trying to rest and work is in our mind. Relationships are in our mind. Lord, issues and certain things are running around our mind. Lord, we pray that we won't engage in the battlefield
of the mind. So, Lord, we pray as we stretch out and broadcast from London all the way to Los Angeles, all the way to Lisbon, Australia, all the way, dear God, to Bogota, right the way through to Chile, Istanbul. Lord, we're praying for Europe and South America, Latin America, Asia, Europe, Father God. We are praying for the Middle East that your love and your peace will cover each and every one of us wherever we live, wherever we move, whatever is going on, Jesus. When anxiety rises, let your love bring peace. The love of God is over your life. The Spirit of the Lord is with you. Don't ever give up. Let's get straight into prayer. Come on, may God bless you.
