Welcome to Daily Prayer. With myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. As we lock across the globe, we're staying connected in this hour as the evening progresses, as we close the curtains on today, as the sun diminishes across the nation that you are in. The love of God is over our lives. As the sun rises, God is with us. As the sun descends, God is with us. As the rain falls, as the sun scorches the earth, God never leaves
us. Come on, let's jump straight into the book of Ecclesiastes, chapter three, and this is the prayer. Jesus, help me release this day and trust you with what remains. Holy God, the hours that remain over this day, give us strength to keep working. Give us strength to keep walking. Give us strength, dear God, to keep moving. Whatever direction we are going, Lord, I thank you that we never go backwards. We always go forward.
So Lord, I thank you that as we cast our cares upon the King, Lord, help us, dear God, to be like that fisherman that casts that hook out, that line out. Father, help us to cast everything onto you. Lord, I pray right now that you will be with us wherever we are across this world. Lord, we are releasing every burden and we are resting in God's care and your mercy as this day suddenly starts to close. Father, help us to close the laptop lid. Help us to lock the office door. Help us to get out of the van. Help us to get on the commute wherever we are, Spirit of the living God. We pray from the battles to the trials to the tribulations to the joyous moments. Lord, we thank you for our healing. We thank you that we are healed. We thank you that the rhythm of God is in us. But Jesus, help me release this day and trust you for what remains. Lord, we're trusting you for the hour that remains. Lord, we're trusting you for the hours that remain. We're trusting you for this evening prayer. Lord, it has been a fierce day, and we come to you right now. Lord, I thank you that we rest in the Word of God from every trial, from every setting, from every sunset to every sun descending. Father, I pray right now as the sun rises, as the rain falls, will you sustain us right now? Lord, we're a little bit tired. We've got a bit of fatigue. Lord, there's still some stuff to do at work. There's still some stuff to do in life. Lord, there's still stuff to do just
in general work. Holy God, I pray, Lord, as we get ready for the children coming home. Lord, as we get ready right now for the rhythm of the evening. Fathers, we take them swimming as we take them, dear God, and do their homework. Lord, as we get back to netball, basketball, Lord, as we get to football, to rugby. Lord, we get to the clubs we got to get them to, to the rhythm of life. Fathers, we got to get back from work as we cook dinners, as we clean up ironing and washing, Lord, in the evening. Lord, through the evening hours, I ask you that the Spirit of the Lord will carry each and every one of us wherever we are, whatever the time zone is across our
lives. Lord, we believe in miracles, but Lord, we want freedom. We want freedom right now, Lord, and let help us. Let's help each other. Come on, let's pray right now. The Spirit of the Lord is over your life. Father, I thank you that God's timing is perfect. His ways are just and right now. Lord, help us to release the stress right now. Help us to let go of that bad commute we've had. Help us to let go of that tough day that we've had. Spirit of the living God, wherever we are, from the four corners of this world, from London to Phoenix, from Phoenix all the way, dear God, to Australia, from Australia to New Zealand, from New Zealand to Scotland to France to Belgium. We're primed for such an outpouring of your spirit from the battles and the trials, the situations that we've gone through
today. Lord, through this season, Lord, we thank you that there is a season for every activity under the heavens, according to the great book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 3, verse 1. There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under the sun. May God bless you and carry you. Take care, and I'll see you at the next prayer.
