Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. It is the night hour, it is the night prayer. We're praying right now, and God is with each and every one of us. We are tired and we are weary. Come on, let's lock straight in.
We are in Psalm 23, and the title is Jesus Lead Me into Rest and Let Me Lie Down in Peace. Holy Spirit, Lord, we need to lie down in peace because today it has hit the fan. Today it is kicked off. Today it has hit the road. The rubber has hit the road. And Lord, we are tired and we are weary. And Lord, will you help us close the laptop on today? Lord, we want to go into this night time. We want to go into this night prayer time together in faith, boldness, and hope. And Lord, we thank you that the Lord is our shepherd. We lack nothing. And Lord, you tell us through the prayers and the Psalms of David 23, Lord, that you tell us that you will lie us down. You will make us lie down. You will get us to lay down in green pastures. He leads us beside quiet waters. Father, right now, Lord, so often we need, dear God, to be led and to be laid down. Lord, that you tell us that you will lay
us down. So, Father, is that a strip back? Lord, is that a placing on the potter's will, Father? As we're in the hands of the Master, Lord, as we're in the hands of the Master, Lord, I thank you for the potter's house, the potter's will. And right now, Lord, will you keep us on the potter's will and in the master's hands? Will you shape us and mold us that earthen vessel, Lord, as the Master shapes the clay? Shape our lives, Lord. Shape our hearts, Lord. Father, I pray that we will only understand that we will find complete rest in Jesus Christ. And as we come to you now, Spirit of the living God, we pray for such an outpouring. We pray, dear God, for such an outpouring that we will go into deep rest tonight. Lord, that we will have the most beautiful, peaceful sleep that we've ever
had in our lives. But Jesus, I ask you, let us go deeper. Lord, let us go deeper in your love. Let us go deeper in your mercy. Lord, we want to completely surrender. Lord, we want to go deeper. Lord, we are trusting our God in all ways. You are Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. But through this nighttime devotional time together, we pray, Lord, that you will God reveal yourself as the good shepherd. You will reveal yourself.
And Lord, right now, Lord, we pray through Matthew 6, 33, but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and everything else shall be added to you as well. Father, I pray that we will seek the kingdom of God, that we will be brothers and sisters that seek the kingdom of God, that we will look to the Son, we will look to the King. We will look to the power of the authority of the Holy Spirit. That we will look to the heavens above. Lord, whatever season we've gone through today, Lord, I pray that we will close the laptop. Lord, our eyes are tired, our fingers are aching. Lord, from London all the way to New York, from New York to Barcelona, from Barcelona to Colombia to Brazil to Chile.
We are praying, dear God, for the four corners of this world. Spirit of the living, God, I pray that we will feel the fragrance, the fragrance of God, Jehovah Jyrah, Jehovah Nissi. Lord, I'm asking you that we will go into surrender now. We will go into deep rest now. We will find a deep sleep right now. And we will fully trust in God. I thank you, Lord, that we are complete and we have been made whole through the Word of God. Father, wherever we are, Lord, we're tired. Our eyes are closing. The eyelids are closing, dear God. But right now, as we close the curtains on today, Spirit of the living God, carry us in the beautiful name of Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Matthew 6 33, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added as well. May God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ.
