Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are across the world. May God bless you. We're going to jump straight into prayer. This night prayer, as we gather around the Word of God, as we lock in as brothers and sisters, the title is coming out of the Gospel of John 14, verse 1. Jesus, bring peace. Bring peace to my heart when fear tries to rise. Lord, we thank you for the power of prayer. We thank you that prayer is changing us. And right now, Lord, I need the power of prayer over all of our lives. Lord, as we bridge the gap, Lord, as we lock shields together. Lord, we thank you for this night hour. We thank you for these night prayers that we are able, dear God, to wrestle with prayer. Lord, to call on the greatest name in heaven and earth, but Jesus, calm our hearts. Holy Spirit, calm our hearts. Lord, let there be a gentle rhythm. Let there be a gentle stillness right now. Lord, we lean into scripture. We lean into the Holy Spirit. Because Lord, there's nowhere else to go. Lord, from the four corners of this world to every sunset, Lord, to every rainfall, Lord,
we need you. Father, we're going through turbulent seasons. Lord, humanity, Father. Oh God, we're going through turbulent times. Oh Jesus. Lord, at this night prayer, Lord, we've got to be honest right now, Lord. Father, it's quite scary when we look outside the field of life. Lord, when we look at the news channels, Father, we scroll through social media. Lord, it's quite scary, Jesus. And Lord, right now, Lord, at these early doors, Father, before the sun rises, Lord, before we pull the curtains back on today, Lord, this night prayer, I pray, Lord, that we will sleep well tonight in the name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, will you come and refresh us and restore us? Lord, will you bring peace right now in the name of Jesus? Lord, as we press through, Lord, in the greatest name in heaven and earth. Lord, we thank you for your love and your mercy.
Lord, as we are stepping in, dear God, to Good Friday, as we are stepping in to this powerful Passover time, Lord, as we're in the Passover, we're looking for your love and your mercy. Lord, we thank you that the cross has been fulfilled. We thank you, Lord, that the grave is empty. But right now, Lord, we're still worried, we're still fearful.
You tell us in the Gospel of John 14, verse 1, do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, also believe in me. Father, through this gentle rhythm right now, Lord, you tell us through the great psalmist, Psalms 34, verse 4, I sought the Lord and he answered me. He delivered me from all of my fears. Lord, we need delivering. Lord, as we're in the run of this Passover, Lord, as we're at this hour, Lord, through this night prayer, Lord, from the four corners of the world, from London to St. Paolo, from St. Paulo to Los Angeles, from Los Angeles to Mumbai, from Mumbai to Lisbon. Lord, we're calling on the greatest name in heaven and earth. And Lord, we pray for the power of God. We pray that the Holy Spirit will come down and refresh us and restore us. But Lord, we're looking for your grace. We're looking for your mercy. Father, we thank you that your love is over our lives. Lord, whatever our time zone is, Lord, at this hour, Lord, this night prayer, we call on the greatest name in heaven and earth. And Lord, we seek the Father's heart. We're seeking you right now. Jesus, we're calling on you because we're scared and we're worried and we're troubled. But Jesus, Lord, as we come to the cross, Lord, through this Passover time, Lord, through this communion time, Lord, through breaking a bread, taking a cup, Jesus, bring peace to our hearts. When fear tries to rise from every four corners of the world, from the troubles, the situations, Lord, I ask you right now that you will bring and deliver peace to each and
every heart. Father, speak to us right now. Dear God, in the name of Jesus, from the battlefield to the boardroom, we are looking for peace. So right now, Lord, we're asking that anxiety will go, fear will go, calm our heart, and we will have a peaceful sleep in the name of Jesus.
