Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Come on, should we pray together wherever you are? May God carry you in the name of Jesus.
We're going to jump straight into the book of Colossians, chapter 1, and this is the title of this prayer, Jesus. Because of you, I am forgiven, redeemed, and made new. Father, we thank you for the power of prayer. And wherever we are at this hour, Father, whether we're listening to my voice or whether we are reading this prayer together, Spirit of the Living God, through this devotional time, through these moments, through this midday hour, whatever the time zone is over our lives, Father, we want to tell the world that we identify ourselves through redemption, through the cross, through prayer, through the love of Jesus Christ. And the grace of God is over our lives. Father, we come to you and we want to tell the world right now, Jesus, you have redeemed me and brought me into the light. Father, there is freedom in our
lives. Lord, we just want to pause a moment and just draw breath because Lord, life is fierce. Life can be troubling, but Lord, through this reflection time, we take a moment, dear God, just to focus on you. Lord, we thank you that your voice, the scripture, is so loud, louder than fear, louder than doubt, louder than the memories and the regrets and the guilt and the worry and the fear. Lord, you are louder. Your word, Father God, has taken all of our history, taken it to the cross. The love has taken it from each and every one of us and
nowed it to the cross through the presence of Jesus Christ. Lord, we thank you that our history has gone. We are redeemed right now. We are not partially redeemed, we are completely redeemed, that there is forgiveness over our lives. Lord, we thank you that the love of God is so strong. And Lord, we have been made new in Christ Jesus. But Lord, through this prayer time, Jesus, we just want to say thank you that I am redeemed and forgiven. Help me to walk in freedom and not to return what you have already taken me from.
Let your grace shape my life today, for now and forevermore, as we come to your cross. Lord, we want to realize that there has been a sacrifice, that sacrifice of praise. Lord, we say thank you right now. And Lord, we ask you that you will take every listener wherever we are, from the four corners of this world, from every sunset to every rainfall. Lord, we thank you, dear God, that the love of God is greater than any darkness. The love of God is greater than any worry. The love of God is greater than any fear. And as we come to you right now, in the name of Jesus, we are redeemed. Lord, as we stretch out from London all the way to Miami, from Miami, all the way to France, to Belgium, all the way, dear God, to the Atlantic coast, all the way, dear God, to every island. Dear God, I pray, Lord, for all the islands, dear God, around the world. We pray, dear God, for all the valley areas. Dear God, we pray for the tribes. We pray for the tongues, and we pray that the Spirit of the Living God, Lord, whether we live on an island or whether we live on the mainland, whether we live in a village or whether we live, dear God, in a city, wherever we are, Spirit of the Living God, I pray that you will remind us that we are redeemed, that we have redemption. And Lord, from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to this Passover table.
And as we celebrate the Passover, Lord, we want to rejoice and tell the world that we have redemption through the sanctifying work of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, I pray from the battles of life to the fatigue of life, to the skills of life, to the worries of life, to the workplace of life, to the education of life, to every situation under the sun. Lord, remind us that we are redeemed at the midday prayer from all tribes, from all languages, from all sunsets to all rainfalls. Lord, I pray that we will identify ourselves in Jesus and we will know that our Redeemer lives and because He lives, we can face tomorrow. Jesus, because of you, I am forgiven, redeemed, and made new. God bless you. I will catch you soon.
