Hello and welcome to our podcast here at Elim church in Swanley your joining myself Reverend Benjamin Leonard Cooper our God the what a name
Simon Pinchbeck:oh prize it used to be humble.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Be humble Simon we're in the house today. You got Simon come all the way from good our Essex Harper chair with It borders borders yeah see
Simon Pinchbeck:I'm in Essex bit round about borders but at this stage shear was doing now it's oh yeah yeah we've had a result.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah I don't know where I am. I thought what we are COVID don't want to come in to Swanley. Yeah, so we're just free. He won't come in COVID to get beat up. He won't dare cross the boulders are sorely the genoways crazy times. Crazy Crazy.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, absolutely. He's
Reverend Ben Cooper:mad. Yeah, makes you look at look at things so differently than it. It makes you analyze things that makes you look at things that we've never done before. But you know what I just you know, we have so much laughing and joking and banter and that and backwards and forwards between us but Simon I love you so much. And I thank God that you're in my life on honestly. Thank God that our paths crossed. That sunny afternoon in blue. And the first thing we said is don't talk about carry. We weren't talking about men's carrying Knights morning's breakfast.
Simon Pinchbeck:I just called New coming in the Hugo Boss shop and iron
Reverend Ben Cooper:Tiger on gaydar scarf on the day. I'm not by the way. I'm all for Jesus. Now, Simon. All joking aside, we are in Elim church in Swanley, thank you for joining us this morning. You know we've got a week up until Christmas. And we actually pre share everything we do here at Elim church in Swanley. We love Christ, we love the power of God's Word so much. And sometimes I can push it too too far out and cross the line sometimes and be a little bit no stretch and that's the problem with me.
Simon Pinchbeck:Nothing wrong with that been wrong without it. So because, you know, this is the reality. You
Reverend Ben Cooper:know, it's real life. It's
Simon Pinchbeck:real life. And you know what the Lord's looking down and sit down because this meeting is been appointed before ivers wherever born
Reverend Ben Cooper:in Scripture.
Simon Pinchbeck:So the Lord's looking down on his ears. And he's saying there's a couple of my fellows fellowship in the band when, ya know, he crosses the line a few times where are pulling back all the time, even elastic?
Reverend Ben Cooper:reference any elastic? back kick back?
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah.
Reverend Ben Cooper:What we're looking at today, you know, we've done some great podcasts and we were to supplemental
Simon Pinchbeck:stuff and then I'm most amazed none of this is scripted. Is it Ben now, I've got a few bullet points down here. But that's it, but that cannot go it can go anywhere to go anyway. I'm a bit scripted. So we're just a couple of fellows you know with us love, love Jesus and following Jesus Christ and having a go wherever they go for Jesus. He has a
Reverend Ben Cooper:great line and evidence for Jesus.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, that's something I think we'll revisit on many times. Yeah. Having a god for Jesus. But what we're going to do today is some I was thinking about this during the week I listened to one or two bits and pieces and starting well but finishing badly Oh, it makes me tremble. There's a lot of Christian rhetoric out there that says it's not how you start it's how you finish and there's a lot but there's a lot there's a lot of people that start out well but but for whatever reason or look at a few of them this week just now they finish
Reverend Ben Cooper:it's a fine badly you
Simon Pinchbeck:know people have been on me yeah been there because say you've got not so much these days, but they used to go You gotta raise your profile you've got a viable business model. Yeah,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you got got you got to have all the titles off the name all I want after my name is a disciple that's the best that Jesus loves me that's all you got revenue. Yeah, that's the business world of the church, isn't it? It wants us to raise the profile it wants us to have the Twitter feeds the social media feeds. It wants us to be on this platform that platform lifting ourselves up. Do you know I mean, photoshopping our faces made us look young, pumping a chest out warriors for God which is just who's only it's mad,
Simon Pinchbeck:the only one profile which should be rising in it
Reverend Ben Cooper:IE Jesus Jesus Christ
Simon Pinchbeck:and only one book really, really should be which is the Bible
Reverend Ben Cooper:and you know that's what we've done inshallah you know that you send trips every
Simon Pinchbeck:year and we discussed it,
Reverend Ben Cooper:and I've done it, I've done it every other literature, everything that we would have all the cupboards packed with everything else, but now we've just got Bibles. Yeah. When we got Bibles, we're giving Bibles out nothing else. Just Bibles.
Simon Pinchbeck:You know, I, I did try to write a book a couple of years ago and the crime broke. Since then I haven't revisited. Yeah, well, you know, I would say, just depend a great week. Ben, last week wasn't so good. But this week's been great, you know, I've just finished my first book. And, you know, I'll be going on Amazon and get another one and probably start reading that. Yeah. And I'll begin the price alone, Jenny Craig.
Reverend Ben Cooper:The more the more. We press forward in times in which we live, the more we see what's happening around the world, I'm actually starting to realize the church is nuts. The world when I say the word of that the system of the church and everything in the church, and its Bama is crazy. It's so far off point of what I should be doing,
Simon Pinchbeck:do you think has been exposed? Man?
Reverend Ben Cooper:I think you're right, summon up. I think our eyes have been open to things that are going on in the world, things are going in business, things that are going on in politics, every different area of life, our eyes have been opened, and I'm looking at the church thinking, Man, this is crazy. The church in the UK? What is it up to? what is actually going on? Where are the spiritual leaders? That is my question to everyone watching? You know, we're recording this today as well for for the world of technology. And we've got the podcast going on that we always do. So we've got two things going on today for the greatness of technology. But the question I have is Please someone send me an email or text and show me and guide me to a spiritual leader that is absolutely on fire, not looking at themselves. Right. But giving Jesus to the government to the every area of standing up. Where are you please, please,
Simon Pinchbeck:Ben, this is not in just in the UK is across the world? Where are the spiritual leaders standing up to what is coming in? David Wilkinson is Leonard Ravenhill, these these sort of guys would would say that this john, what's his name in California? JOHN McAfee.
Reverend Ben Cooper:McCaffrey.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, yeah, he's kept his church open. And he's been absolutely hammered by, by by California. But where are the men? You're right, I see it. Where are the men and I'm not standing in the flock. I'm
Reverend Ben Cooper:not being disrespectful. Honestly, I'm not a
Simon Pinchbeck:shepherd spin.
Reverend Ben Cooper:You know what? I just want? Where are the spiritual fathers? And you know, the ones that are that are carrying the word. You know, there are, I've got great Christian men and women out there, and I thank God for them. And I love what the church is doing in areas but you know what, that is such a small percentage of what we really should be doing. Where are you know, that the great preachers and the teachers that are read, I'm not just, I'm talking across their name,
Simon Pinchbeck:Ben, when the government is closing churches and saying, Yeah, yet, you're keeping non essential shops open. Yeah. So we can go to Primark right now
Reverend Ben Cooper:get yourself a pair of socks.
Simon Pinchbeck:And we've been a newsflash people full of paper. But we can't come into a church now. and celebrate the Lord. No, can't wash it. See these people? Because, you know, the government because they're not saved? Because Yeah, they've got no idea. Error. Yeah. And I think it frightens people when I think I've got many of the people of faith, so we'll just shut it down. We'll just close it down. It's absolutely It's ridiculous. And what I've seen now, when we do the real man for Christ, and be great if anyone wants to, yeah, look what we're doing just go for real man for Christ on the YouTube channel. My mate there is k tail has got a small church in in Faden voice and when it's open, yeah, that's a posh part of Essex, you know. But when it's open, regular Saturday mornings, 2030 people praise God. Sadly, you he had two people been delivered of staff. Wow. Two men come to faith in Jesus. During the week comes a little boy got healed of, of stuff that's going on fevers and stuff that's going on. So the Lord is working in smaller smaller groups, groups, smaller groups, putting him first
Reverend Ben Cooper:so do you think we could be going back to like, the early church, the smaller the smaller pockets here, they're like a persecuted. Like if you look at the world of the persecuted church, you know, what's going on among that that is growing so fast, but they are being clubbed from every position possibly been.
Simon Pinchbeck:Do you not think that The Church in the UK is being persecuted in another way.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Chose persecuting itself itself.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yes because and it's something we do a podcast on when we're inviting the prophets of Baal into the into the church when they're invited just of the visible spirit the answer the church when the troll and money whenever they are all about money when you're out bums on seats then witchcraft and sorcery.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Look at some of the sorcerer. Yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:He gets he gets a known name, call on not all podcasts pretty often done it. He does Why? Because he sees the truth is real. He's in his real
Reverend Ben Cooper:stuff. This is real stuff. So when you look across this nation, and then you'd like someone to go out across the pond and across the channel, where are the spiritual leaders on a spiritual front end and coming up to the face the government again, this is what my Jesus says, This is Yeah, this is what my God says, This is what the God of Israel says this is this is what the scripture says. Do you know when you go back years one won't we birthed out of the 10 commandments, and we had all that sort of stuff going on. And governments were following that go back generations, but suddenly over the years, the word has been pushed out. And we've got people in pulpits that are just like the innkeeper, you know, there's no room well, in in frigid no room in his church for Jesus. It's me.
Simon Pinchbeck:And you know, is a doula and I do think I think you're you're exactly right. I think Everything you say is right. And and when you're more concerned, really because you've got this be your own priority.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:And you know, that needs to be funded and you can
Reverend Ben Cooper:easily slip into that Katja
Simon Pinchbeck:church wages in general often the Lord's fed up of it. Yeah. I think Yeah, fair. That would all his stuff. He's gonna he's gonna get out, you know, to shake it up.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I think you're right. I think we're seeing a flipping over at the tables like Christ did. Yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yes, definitely.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I mean, you know, God is flipping over a switch and he's turning, he's turning over stuff in church that needs to be driven out. He's turning stuff over. That isn't right. You know, and I'm asking God right now in front of you and everyone watching and listening. Please, God, I'm sorry. We're off algae. Well, bro, happy clappy messages with feather dusters. You know, I mean, dancing around like Starlight Express. We love you, Jesus. When, when really we got to be delivered as pastors and preachers and men and women with the the calling for preaching and teaching, you got to deliver what that word says. Not what what you say not what I think not my opinion. You know, you know, when God drops a message on your heart. Yeah. And I've noticed that over a number of months that I just have to, I can't, I can't fluff about anymore. It is just down to it. Bang delivered done.
Simon Pinchbeck:What we said before we said before, many times, if you're preaching a message, that is a nice comfortable message and you preach in the wrong message. Yeah. This has got to Yeah, this has got to be a time when a message is spoken out. And you know, something been listened to a few things. And the Lord is shaking this the this Western world up so much. Why? Why? Because he wants repentance. And it's a it's a word. You know, you look back in the Old Testament, and we're gonna go into that in a little one. He always brought the Israelites back to a time of repentance. They were enough by themselves and that this king or that King, but he always brought him back to a time of repentance. And I honestly believe he's, he's giving people the opportunity right now to repent, to repent.
Reverend Ben Cooper:That's a powerful word and it repent, but it's just a frightening word. If you go about in the flesh,
Simon Pinchbeck:what were you saying the other day, you saying that the government wants to take that word?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, yeah, there's, there's, there's a fella that we're pretty well known off that he's driving the baton driving the drum beating the drum, that trying to remove the word repentance, because it's got to do with gender change and all that, you know, so that over the next few years, we will see that that word repentance, and they're trying to make that word, a word that you can't use in the way of law. So it's really interesting the way it's coming around. We're just having a bad day. It's just coming out. There's a there's the great Christian Institute and all in places, you know, you can find all this stuff online, but it's really important the law is going to use the law to come against us that you can't say that about that person. You can't say that. Repent because we know what repentance means. It means turning away rather than about turn and saying I'm sorry for the way I live or what I've done because The government in the world has made it you can do what you like level you want in I mean, you can do anything gun, do whatever you like, with no consequence.
Simon Pinchbeck:And the big thing is repentance that in a context that we use it is returning back to God now, right now they'd want to pull out God from everything.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So that is a massive word. And it's a huge word.
Simon Pinchbeck:Because coming to faith without repentance, yeah. What is that? So
Reverend Ben Cooper:the Evangelical Church, the Pentecostal movement, the state church, all the churches in the UK have got a lift up that word, lift up the sword, and there is coming a time when the leaders of the denominations are going to have to clearly look and say, am I gonna follow God? Or am I gonna follow Boris? Yes,
Simon Pinchbeck:yeah, you know,
Reverend Ben Cooper:God bless Boris and whoever is going to be in that position because he's just a mouthpiece for everyone. It's just been, it's just a puppet being controlled from the higher levels with no disrespect here. But this is fact you know, it's all it's all lined up. We can see we're coming up to one world government, one world order, get rid of cash. Yeah, you
Simon Pinchbeck:got it. I mean, it's, it's really a you know, I'm in the States at the moment, because a lot of the churches over there sign up to something called a 501 c three, which is, which is giving them tax exemption, but they don't have to do that. But, but the government wanted them to do that. Now, it's like, putting a ring through a bull's nose. Because when you sign up to that, the government then can lead you and it can tell you what to preach. or where to go. Yeah. And, and it's got your body curlies. And you're just in the same in the same category, as the Church of Satan, the change the
Reverend Ben Cooper:audio to Scientologists. They wanted that status at the church of the Scientologists wanted to get the church that name over their door so they could dodge everything financially. It's all about money. It's all about money. It's all about money.
Simon Pinchbeck:And once they sign up to that, it's like, you know, they've already taken the chip and and, and they're being lazy on the nose.
Reverend Ben Cooper:It doesn't matter if you are not the Church of Jesus Christ, because you're not preaching that anyway. And the church over the door helps you with the old nose. Yeah. And you can you're preaching a false gospel, you're, you're in a, like you said, the Church of Satan and all that sort of stuff. everything that's going on it just just the label, if I tick that box, we get the word church over the door, we've got charitable status we that may have if the government are controlling us, because we're all one anyway. Yeah, that's it. You are the real body of Christ. Yeah, the last thing that you can do is partner with a pharaoh leadership.
Simon Pinchbeck:You're
Reverend Ben Cooper:gonna be baking for generations to come. Yeah, yeah, we want to get out in the promised land, the trouble we're having. I
Simon Pinchbeck:mean, when the title of this was starting, well, finishing badly, and quite frankly, we've, we've gone on to where the churches started well, well, with good intentions, you know, it will probably be started sprung up from a small home group, but now all of a sudden, over the years, it's grown and grown and grown. And all of a sudden, the churches started to finish really, really not strong anymore, and kind of people in the church now. We look at men now. You know, I've been involved with men's ministry for a number of years. Now. See, I see this in, in a number of men and they start off well, probably, as a teenager, you know, they come to faith on fire to teen camp or something, you know, or whatever, they're on fire. they they they married man, married a teenage sweetheart, from the church or whatever. Yeah, I know. But all of a sudden, God, life starts to cover you up with life. Like all of a sudden you started drown. You got the mortgage, all of a sudden you've got the children. All of a sudden you've got to work on all this. Yeah, all the possessions. You know, and I had a picture holidays years ago. Credit cards. Yeah, I had a picture years ago of a shining light, bright shining light. And, and the rubbish truck coming up, and just dumping a lot of rubble on top of the light yet, light was still there, but it was extinguished. Now I see these, see these men and my heart cries out for them because they're the men that the church has abandoned. Yeah, the men that the church hasn't looked after because they'll go to church every Sunday sit there, but they'll be paralyzed. See, I see these fellers. Ben, I believe these pillars are like the dry bones in the valley, I believe. Yeah. Stirring these men out. Yeah. And breathing the spirit. Going into them. Yeah, I believe there's a fire that's still inside them there is that we can there at night there is. And that simple thing that we just said earlier but having a go for Jesus you can do that's a simple thing to start something like a kickstart it's like bringing a car and a Gary's just an it down. cranking it up. I'm getting that on engine starting. I believe these guys Yes. Or not last I believe the
Reverend Ben Cooper:last No. You know what I love solid romans eight, nothing can separate from the love of God. You know what, let's let's just look at this. We've become born again. Fruit of the Spirit. We're on fire for God. And then everything happens what you just said, mortgage marriage, life, kids, school education, dumps all this on us. The government truck comes along. He tips it up as some of that. Are you going to be my robot, you're going to pay it in the system, you're going to do you're going to do you're going to do I'm going to go in. That wasn't what I wanted. That will come. But what you got to do first is seek ye first the kingdom have come on. Yeah. So when we press towards Jesus as a new believer, I'm washed, I'm covered in the blood of Jesus. Yeah, I'm on fire. Right, the fire never goes out. But the government bring their truck along and dump all over us. luggage all over us. But you're trying to fight your way through to rubbish,
Simon Pinchbeck:I try to fight your way through rubbish. And suddenly, you know, you reach a point where if you don't stop and look at your life, exactly. Your Ferraris have all gone. So all of a sudden God has been pushed down. It's been he's been pushed down and all of a sudden work and the
Reverend Ben Cooper:garbage on the top. We're not saying we're not saying businesses garbage. We're not saying families. We're not not saying that. But what we are saying is the government come along and put so much weight on you to perform for them that you have to sign on, sign up, sign up, sign up, sign up for this, but it's done so sneakily the serpent Well, God
Simon Pinchbeck:and what you what you do, you look around and all of a sudden, you're conforming to the rest of society.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And then all of a sudden you go, dad, they got that. I need the latest gadgets, I need the latest phone, Ma'am, I need my money that I need bla bla bla bla bla, and suddenly don't stop them because
Simon Pinchbeck:doesn't stop because the kiss all of a sudden, and you notice got a college kind of universe app. And all of a sudden that you've got a phone a few 1000 quid, so you're still jumping on the rattler every day and going up to London. Seven o'clock in the morning. Not going back several o'clock at night. Yeah, by the time you sit down have your dinner Yep, cup of you know, a cup of coffee, a glass of wine. You crushed out in the chair you've had in your room for God.
Reverend Ben Cooper:If there's no room, because the government truck has come along and tipped up on you. And you've got your living your your living for the system and your
Simon Pinchbeck:existing
Reverend Ben Cooper:and your sometimes I traveled up to London before the lock down. Like the guy up there I come in what was for something. I can't even remember what he got it for. But you know what I see I see all the commuters with headphones on. Yeah, I see him with all the same gadget the same product dressed almost the same. There was this March. But it was quiet. The commuter was just head down on their phone. The sadness on their face of no one looking at earphones in the same product. It was like very robotic. And
Simon Pinchbeck:this is only gonna get worse if we don't if we don't put a stop to. And I spent too many men and the Pro is all wrong. Yes. If you seek first the kingdom everyone else before and come along. If you make time for God and that relationship, you present a god. Yeah, let's see where it goes in because you know, or everything else will fall into place. You
Reverend Ben Cooper:said something very important. You said press in
Simon Pinchbeck:person. Yeah. Now
Reverend Ben Cooper:it takes resistance. And it takes drain and it takes hardship to go against the system.
Simon Pinchbeck:Now, but if
Reverend Ben Cooper:against the tide, but even when you're a believer,
Simon Pinchbeck:then but if you're not in your word, if you're not in a relationship with Jesus Christ, you're not because that's the most important
Reverend Ben Cooper:thing in your life has to be number one
Simon Pinchbeck:thing, then divorces you hear you can't discern. And the thing is, I'll give you an example. Like last week. Yeah, I won't go into it. But last week. I didn't have too good a week things. One or two things went a little bit wacky. Yeah. And I've because I've made some time for the Lord. Next thing I know, I'm being led to Scripture that I'd never back on bank scene before. Yeah. Going to four it says, Be strong, be strong, be strong for God is with you. I'm being led to that sort of stuff. Yeah. And you know, I've been led to quotations by Churchill saying never again, never give in, never give up. But it's because you press in in the Lord that you can listen and you can hear if you're not, yeah, you're gonna try and find your distractions. elsewhere.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I think what's important, I think what really is important. If you go back to creation, go back to Genesis two and Genesis chapter three, when when Eve starts to pop up. Right now what what's really important here is that God created the Garden of Eden, he created everything without getting all the theological drum on that. We understand that God spoke this world into being he spoke it. So we have these two, on the earth with God, right? This absolutely fascinates me that God is speaking to them, giving them word, giving them the garden, giving them authority, give them everything, but they still reacted to the devil's voice. The devil was in the garden, you might have blessings raining down on you. You might be like the Prophet up the mountain praying for rain and rain falls, and you're soaking wet in the miracle you might be in the garden, you might be reading and you might be experiencing the power of God. But watch out for the other voice.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, big Watch out for you have a listen, I've got to tell you that. If you don't listen to anything else in this podcast, take note of what Ben has just said there because it is really, really, from the Spirit of
Reverend Ben Cooper:God and Simon. He was on God's
Simon Pinchbeck:he was meant to be given everything
Reverend Ben Cooper:I've been given everything they given dominion. This is yours, Adam, and you know what? Death was in the garden. Right when Adam was placed into the garden, Eve wasn't in existence in Genesis chapter two, right? So we have Adam, he's the only person on planet Earth. Yeah, we've got a God says, Adam, this is your son. Yeah, everything is yours. But do me a favor. Just don't touch that one. Everything else is yours. If you touch that, you're gonna die. So God already had a redemption plan in place. Yeah. Because he says if you touch that you're gonna die. Okay, all right, then say went off. Whatever he's doing, he pops up, bang out of his sight. We know that people are gonna correct me, you know, send the text, email and all that sort of stuff. Right? So we understand that going into the world of it. So suddenly, we have two people on earth, the only two people enough they've got God's voice, they've got the miracles, they've got got a spoken this intervene and he has put them in the garden. And the devil comes along goes. Because they tell you not to.
Simon Pinchbeck:I've got everything. I've got everything.
Reverend Ben Cooper:But they had their voice, but they listen to the lesser voice. Yeah, we got to be careful because the less voice is always nibbling at us.
Simon Pinchbeck:And I guess it's just like, you know, you know, a small child, you know, you tell them don't touch that. Touch that and then what they do?
Reverend Ben Cooper:That's like, Okay, well, let's just explore it. Yeah, but what, but what's important to me in this is that we might be absolutely pressing into Gods how much he is speaking for each word we are worshiping in heaven. We almost feel like we're levitating. Because it is so good. But with the goodness, it's the sub.
Simon Pinchbeck:And that brings me very nicely onto the other other point I was gonna make. So starting well, but finishing sadly. Look at that. So starting well, but finishing barely. So we've got we've got men and women out there who start off crime in the truth. Yeah. Like their signpost is pointing to Jesus. Then clap and spin the poll data define the pool, the prior life, the money, the serpent, the notoriety that pirates slowly starts to turn back to them and point back to them, and it pulls him back to Egypt. But that's what it does.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Why he brought us out here today is
Simon Pinchbeck:pulls us back to Egypt. So we go. And two big examples that are in the Bible are Solomon Yeah, the wisest man that ever lived. Jesus Christ is the wisest man who ever lived. He got everything he had the temple yet, but Solomon's temple, he had a lust, that from his father, probably because David at our last, oh, lust has come through and he's got wives from everywhere and all of a sudden the ends Live worshipping bow worship in Nashville opposed was in all sorts of stuff.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Are you think about that you just said Yes Sir Paul yeah what that symbolized what that was is um I'm literally starting to sweat thinking about tonight I mean how easy and how careful we need to be from the outside satanic oppression because when you look at these characters, guys that you've just mentioned an Adam that had everything he had purity he had everything God man tell you what No wonder we can feel the way we feel sometimes feel so down we feel so lonely with men in the church just think you know what? This motivational innkeeper at the front ain't even giving me what I need because there is so much attack on men. For the world of the media is sexualizing everything the attraction driving in gambling, look at that he got the picture garriage put a tenner in your old transit. And in a minute all our little scratch card now, I believe Jesus just Yeah, thank you, Lord, Lord, if if our witness, Lord the church is going to get
Simon Pinchbeck:How many times have people said that you have a witness lottery low and up below in this to that giving that to that, Lord, let me win the lottery.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And he's going if you read your scripture, cattle on 1000 Hills, your money, I created that tree that make the paper that made that
Simon Pinchbeck:but this, this, listen to this, this story. This story just shows that what can happen now, I believe eisah was so as Solomon's great grandson. Now this he said I wouldn't do anything. It's only plan was to seek the Lord. He wouldn't do anything without consulting the Lord. And a million man army came against him of Ethiopians. He was the he was the king of Judah, a million man army against him. Now that was a biggest army that ever been assembled in the world to that point. Yeah. And he was sitting there and he's little Judah. What did he do? He put faith in God.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And God gave him
Simon Pinchbeck:victory, Denny, he put faith in God and God gave victory.
Reverend Ben Cooper:What you're telling me then Simon is it doesn't matter how big the army of the enemy is, if I seek the God of Israel, he will get me victory.
Simon Pinchbeck:And on his way back from that victory, yeah. A Prophet came to listen to Chronicles 14 or 15, all of this stuff. Yeah. And he met him. And he said, The Lord has given me a word. He said, The Lord is with you. While you are with him. I'll seek Him. And Angie will be found. But he said forsaken, and he will forsake you
Reverend Ben Cooper:that now I'm scared.
Simon Pinchbeck:Every day Yeah. Because
Reverend Ben Cooper:the Lord is with you. And he will be found all the time you ignoring of God forsaken, forsaken him for sight, you know, Lord God, which is
Simon Pinchbeck:what we've been saying about banging on about and these days, if you come out from the under umbrella, which is and we we've got Jesus Christ, who knows these guys in but we've come under the umbrella that Jesus Christ. If you step out from the
Reverend Ben Cooper:shadow side, the shield that the Lord's got a number, the protocol. He's gotten home. Oh, God plays out.
Simon Pinchbeck:Oh, no, he doesn't have to authorize anything, does he? So there's a big, big danger and just what you said a minute ago, Ben, it's a big danger of if you've had a if you've been a spiritual battle, if you've just just stepped off the pulpit and members, Virgin stepped off the pulpit and delivering amazing message and someone come up to him and said, Mr. Spurgeon, you look great today. You said I know because the devil is just told me. big danger. There's a big danger of becoming spiritually lazy after a big victory.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Exactly. Now that comes back to the garden dinette, they had everything but they everything in that garden. Those are the only two on planet Earth. But they reacted to a lesser voice.
Simon Pinchbeck:And believe me, and this is true with everything today. Yeah, if you've had a big victory in your Christian walk, you will be tested. He will be tested. So you know it's good. sticking your feet up putting on the big cigar have made it mean No, no, no. See what happened to a sudden now might you see the Lord this Bibles to true
Reverend Ben Cooper:is true.
Simon Pinchbeck:All of a sudden, he has the army of Israel coming against him. Now before we had the million man army,
Reverend Ben Cooper:but he was seeking
Simon Pinchbeck:I think we seek and now this time, he's made it
Reverend Ben Cooper:he's made on the daddy
Simon Pinchbeck:and what does he do now he clicks up all the All the trinkets order treasures everything and goes to Syria. Now Syria was the Lord's enemy. That's all Yeah. And he goes to persuade and bribe the Syrian leader to influence these these Israel to leave him alone.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So he's got in his own strength. He's gonna do a deal with the devil
Simon Pinchbeck:is gonna do a deal with the devil. And again, it was met with another prophet, I think Halloween or something I think his name was, you'll find this. You'll find this in two Corinthians 16, nine, you know,
Reverend Ben Cooper:powerful stuff.
Simon Pinchbeck:It says for the eyes of the word of the Lord. Go to and fro for the whole world seeking those that show themselves strong on behalf he's looks for the hearts of men that are loyal to him foolishly you've done this by yourself so you will always have war and you'll always have always have wars and he died EISA with disease feet and he you know, his art was still but he did he died or a horrible death, didn't he? And then he was still in trouble.
Reverend Ben Cooper:See out me, Jesus. If
Simon Pinchbeck:you go back to Egypt and drink the dirty water, the water the now mate, you're in, you're in trouble. You're in trouble.
Reverend Ben Cooper:It's so easy to do. Because the devil, he got the agents out there that are dressed, beautifully handsome. You can have this. I've got the keys to the kingdom.
Simon Pinchbeck:Mate. This is where this is where exactly where we're at. If you're in the New Testament,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you can be like God, Genesis chapter three,
Simon Pinchbeck:you make yourself a little God.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So you think of the tree. Wow, you just like him?
Simon Pinchbeck:This is good stuff. Because you're exactly right. Because in one john 216, it tells us yeah, that there'll be the lust of the eyes or lust of the freshener. Right or like, Oh, God, right. And this is where the this is where the enemies always whispering koosman making you the center. You're the center of your and all of a sudden, a few Stein off well, but all of a sudden, you no longer invited a speaker invite. Oh, you've got a great message. They'll be listened to this man. Let's listen to this man. What do you say about it? Or the pastor's opinion it says the person has
Reverend Ben Cooper:started to believe as the bishop you
Simon Pinchbeck:started to believe your own press coins. You don't you're a legend in your own lunchtime, your
Reverend Ben Cooper:trouble in trouble in trouble
Simon Pinchbeck:because the signposts he's pointing back to me.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And that is exactly what happened in the garden. The devil pointed it back to them. You can be like God, you can be like God, and assume power. Yeah, all authority. God said, this is your garden, you've got dominion is already told him, you've got dominion, these animals and the fields and the tree, everything is yours. God has told you, I've give you everything, but just don't touch. Just Just don't do.
Simon Pinchbeck:And these men and women we want more are running back and forth are true and good and evil. That's what
Reverend Ben Cooper:I saw. We see greed, we see lust, we see everything bundled up in Adam and Eve, because they wasn't content to have what God was giving them. That was everything. But they will span a lie, span a lie and and the guts really say Are you sure? Are you sure? He said that? Are you sure? And he uses that word? Did God really say? And then that brings confusion, didn't it? Now what we sent out at the moment, a world that is so confused. We don't know if we're a bloke or a woman. We don't know what gender we are we've done and what data we get is Christmas is next week. We don't know who we are, we ain't got a clue where we live because
Simon Pinchbeck:we seek you first.
Reverend Ben Cooper:We listen to the letter voice.
Simon Pinchbeck:We listen to the list of voice. And we're going along with the voice instead of standing up and going No, that's wrong. That's wrong. We're sticking spermy beyond Jesus Christ, and following what we what we know is the truth in the Bible. What
Reverend Ben Cooper:does the lesser voice offer he offers and he can only give what the flesh does on the flesh
Simon Pinchbeck:desires. And you know what? You've never beat the flesh in the flesh. We've said this. Unless you go continually going back to the Spirit of God and God continually with that word, we certainly would continue asking the Lord is there any areas in my life that need to be sorted continuing on your knees repenting continually in the price? I'm scraping if your content unless you're gonna know. Yeah, yeah, then you're gonna bounce it. It is becoming a teachable spirit. Now I can tell you I don't get to that place. Why? Because you know it all. You know, I've made it and all of a sudden, the Lord's giving you this new revelation of the Bible. No, he hasn't. I'm sorry. Oh, that's scary, too. I'm gonna rewrite the Bible and I'll be on a different plane now to everyone else.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah. Because the enemy comes in and he feeds the flesh.
Simon Pinchbeck:Your ego?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Ah, yeah, come on. But there's
Simon Pinchbeck:no, there's no free lunch. There's always, always a kick back. It's always a kick back and watch out because it always be too good to be true. You know, if the grass is greener, on the other side, it's probably astroturf, which is the truth.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, it's Yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:So fake. Yeah. Be fake, fake. There's always a kick this guy. He wants something. He's after some. Yeah, what he's after. What he's after
Reverend Ben Cooper:is I'll see you he's after you.
Simon Pinchbeck:He's after turning you away from the things that the problems that
Reverend Ben Cooper:the Lord has got trying to keep your secret sin secret. If the church knows you're in, or that if the church realizes that, and then he feels other things, people that are in ministry, you're doing well. You're doing well. Look at how many people you've got following on social media. Look, they love they love you.
Simon Pinchbeck:Man, get on to every single thing that you say, unless they're looking to you.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah. And you become a little guard does this exactly.
Simon Pinchbeck:When you don't take advice. Now you don't take advice. I
Reverend Ben Cooper:suppose that I don't need it. I
Simon Pinchbeck:don't take advice from godly men,
Reverend Ben Cooper:Nana and you don't repent and you don't say sorry, what
Simon Pinchbeck:happened to David? Oh, no,
Reverend Ben Cooper:we got that when we
Simon Pinchbeck:went to David, David's story. And Nathan came along. And he said what Nathan said to him, what would what would you do if you you know, some person had a whole flock and someone had one sheep? Yeah. And that person had the whole flock took the sheep. Yeah. I Where is he? Oh, and I said it's you. It's you. So unless if you've actually got a knife and David listened and repented Yeah, we have men and women today. Yeah. Not listening. Why? Because they surround themselves with Yes, people. Yes. All they want to do is laugh you up isn't a stroke your ego
Reverend Ben Cooper:and the people that are around those ones that increase the ego. Are they really saved? Well, you gotta you got a look at the question. What what what what it says in the scripture? We have wolves in sheep's clothing.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yes. Yeah. Yeah,
Reverend Ben Cooper:they might have a collar and they got a heart for God.
Simon Pinchbeck:And now you said something very true there because you know, we can see the enemy coming. We can see the enemy we can see the wolf in sheep's clothing. We can see that. But the wolf in sheep's clothing who comes alongside and you You're right. Are they truly say the following Jesus Christ or following you? And there we go. You know, Matthew 722. Yeah, it says it all done it.
Reverend Ben Cooper:It does. It wraps it up for you.
Simon Pinchbeck:I never know you never know you. But I did this for you. Are you a father?
Reverend Ben Cooper:I've built an empire. Oh, there's the word I built I I built Wow. But Lord, I heard the gospel. I can do all things through Christ. It gives me strength. Oh, yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:Ah, forgot one thing you forgot. My son. Jesus Christ. You forgot what he did for you guys football.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Danny.
Simon Pinchbeck:He's gonna he's playing for a man see?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Jesus. I thought I was gonna be the right hand at the right hand of the follower. Because I'm a little God because Satan
Simon Pinchbeck:on different client a geezer.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I'm more spiritual.
Simon Pinchbeck:Get on your knees. God help me. Get on face my friend. This is an upside down Kingdom in the way up is down. Now what is what we got? Ben we got men and women that were once great witnesses. Yeah. And they're in the 50s 60s 70s and 80s. And they're sitting down in front of a TV screen. And they're they're saying, Oh, what a great the old times. These are. these are these are men taken out the game,
Reverend Ben Cooper:and it's not their fault. It's the church it for churches fold because it's tickling. It's peddling a different gospel. When you peddle a different gospel, it's not feeding, you're spiritually. It tickles a flesh, it gives you a few feet something for a while. It builds it actually, it feeds the flesh. But when, when, when was the last time any one of us watching, listening wherever we all could say I sat under a preacher that made me want to run, because I felt the fear of the Lord.
Simon Pinchbeck:Well,
Reverend Ben Cooper:when was the last time I heard a message directly that made me repent and cry out and jumped up in church and fought I don't care who's around me. I need Jesus. My life's a wreck, but the church is in endorses your life.
Simon Pinchbeck:So as we have these, these, these old guys who have got so much to offer the church, that that the sitting back, and the and the churches is passed, and by
Reverend Ben Cooper:because it's always looking for the younger
Simon Pinchbeck:generation where we haven't got it, the George Miller's of the world. Oh, God, come on. It's 70 odd years of age, the Lord said, consensus around the world. Yeah. And 95 he was still Yeah, claiming the gospel. Sandy Miller was the vicar htb when I first went there, yeah, that guy could preach, and he would hit you hard. And
Reverend Ben Cooper:that's what I want. I want to walk out of church in tears. I don't want to go out running and laughing and jump in and skip. No, no, because that's the Kundalini spirit, softening sums and sweeping and giving me an ego, I want to go out going, you're a sinner, and he's only by the grace of God, and by the blood of Jesus Christ, by his power and his story of his word that he chose to save you price did not choose him. He chose chose you and
Simon Pinchbeck:and Sandy was standing at the back of the church at every service and shake everyone's hand and there were many every time I couldn't even i'd shake his hand. I couldn't even say a word. I was tears drawn into this. He did. Yeah, he hard. I remember him saying a couple of times. I remember him saying, you know, he said, he said, we have these drug addicts with blessing. We have these alcoholics come up here and tell us how their lives have changed. Where the people from the church to appear. From the to II wonder where the ordinary men and women of the church getting up here. We want some proper stuff. One problem, you know, and he Oh, man, you know, and he's still going, he's still you know, that guy's still out there. Where are these? You know, are they you know, and what, what does the The Bible tells us? Yeah, a praying man, who can we stand in? Where are the praying men? that that that nothing could come against? Yeah, that's what we're trying to build in the real men for Christ's getting men together in twos and threes that pray together, disciple together, who can withstand it, but
Reverend Ben Cooper:be open and honest with each other. Rather than wearing the church teeth on a Sunday morning,
Simon Pinchbeck:smiling.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Exactly right. And it looks like you brush your teeth with Colgate. with bleach. They're so bright, everything's great. They're smiling,
Simon Pinchbeck:particularly small
Reverend Ben Cooper:smile. in churches,
Simon Pinchbeck:and so we're in a meeting of the room for Christ. Couple of weeks ago, we had a few fellows socially distanced, of course, and we had a bad 10 guys, but man, the truth that came out,
Reverend Ben Cooper:we want truth,
Simon Pinchbeck:men sticking around up and going, No, I love the Lord. But but the weekend either either drink and it gets a little bit too far. You know, a little bit of anger issue. These are the stuff that's real bringing it out into the light. Yeah, this is what we need throughout the night,
Reverend Ben Cooper:but the church don't want to see it. So the question is, is why? Why are these men turn into stuff with a wall because the church hasn't preached the gospel of Jesus Christ doesn't know. He can't get wiped out. In fact, you can't get away from that.
Simon Pinchbeck:Because they're looking for. You could find the answer within yourself. Yeah,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you are. What is psycho saying that God Oh, you can go like God. Yeah. You're no good. You're not evil. You're like, you'll know everything.
Simon Pinchbeck:And these are not being funny. These. You can be a good motivational speaker.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I just hate it. You know? Oh, yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:We got some out there. If you listen to Joel Osteen, yeah, TD Jakes these sort of people. Yeah, you can have your best life now. Well, my friend if you want your best life now, yeah, you'll get it but your other life won't be so great.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Still problem, die self
Simon Pinchbeck:die to self every day Galatians 225 with Christ it's not either live or Christ lives
Reverend Ben Cooper:in the Bible pick up, pick up the prosperity gospel pick up, pick up a copy
Simon Pinchbeck:of the things that we that I would say to men and women listen to this out there, you know, because the written word is a logo isn't Ah, but the verbalized word is a rhyme and it's a strike isn't it? And, and if you got a few of these in the back of your mind, yeah, your back pocket. Yeah, throw them out when stuff goes against you, you know from out all that stuff. You know, the Galatians 221 that was given to me this week. Hey, guy, you know to be strong, be strong, be strong. For the Lord your God is with you. Come
Reverend Ben Cooper:on Lord came with us.
Simon Pinchbeck:Mostly uncertain, but what is the answer as we wrap this one up and come into land?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Why is the site give to the pastor more fire? pray to Him or fire up the rosary bead. If I get in the box and give it all to the priest, I'll be right up. go wrong. I don't know I signed the Gift Aid form. That's the one that is it. Give any shall be given. Come on. We know the real answer. Answer is Jesus Jesus
Simon Pinchbeck:and and coming to the cross come to the cross
Reverend Ben Cooper:and repentance coming across God come on.
Simon Pinchbeck:Let's get busy. Keep it simple, stupid, please. You know just Jesus is the answer.
Reverend Ben Cooper:He is the way the truth and life come to me all of you that are wary, heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Come with me. All of you that are religious. Commonly all you got colors come and be all of you clergy. Come just as you are. These cannot fix yourself.
Simon Pinchbeck:This has been one plan.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And we see that Genesis chapter two redemption chapter three as well. God said if you touch that, you're gonna die. So you already know what to do phone plan,
Simon Pinchbeck:continuation or you spreadsheets for you to knockers. Jesus Christ and when sloughing a small because he's freedom. Yeah.
Reverend Ben Cooper:But in the freedom. You know, you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, there is freedom
Simon Pinchbeck:Where the Spirit of the Lord is his freedom.
Reverend Ben Cooper:What I got to watch is where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom there is miracles. Yeah, there also is the lesser voice in Genesis and the path back to Egypt and the path back to Egypt drinking the water. So wherever God is that you want is Yeah, yeah. So I've got to be on. I've got to be building on the rock. Yeah, I've got to build on Jesus. But even though I'm building on the rock, listen to His voice, don't react to the lesser voice. It's interested in the lesser voice could make God's voice to be the lesser voice. Because the less voice is feeding the flesh.
Simon Pinchbeck:And if we haven't got that relationship with Jesus Christ ongoing, it's gotta be ongoing. The flesh will always win because we cannot be
Reverend Ben Cooper:easy is it to worry about the lesser voice? Oh,
Simon Pinchbeck:it was the easy way is the easy route.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Even when you're in the garden and you're the only one with God they are in that place. And the flesh starts drawing. Each man is drawn away by his own last.
Simon Pinchbeck:Jesus
Reverend Ben Cooper:you helped me Jesus
Simon Pinchbeck:at a time when you've just come back from work. You're tired out exhausted,
Reverend Ben Cooper:exhausted. frustration.
Simon Pinchbeck:You may be at a decent you know. And a couple
Reverend Ben Cooper:of beers Yeah. The old man rises.
Simon Pinchbeck:There you go, Lord.
Reverend Ben Cooper:There you go. Keep my Lazarus. Don't rearrange the Lazarus.
Simon Pinchbeck:Oh, God keep the old man in the garage. Keep me down.
Reverend Ben Cooper:cuz I've got a you know what?
Simon Pinchbeck:time when we've got to you know, you've got to get on your knees. You've got to spend time in the private closet. Why? Because victory is made in public arrives on your knees in private wholesale
Reverend Ben Cooper:center in tears
Simon Pinchbeck:crying out to the Lord seeking his face, which is Jesus Christ. Simon dollar donor.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I'll just say Lord, forgive me again. Yeah, watch me in the blood of Jesus. Yeah, come in the blood Lord. arac so much in the flesh.
Simon Pinchbeck:I think that's a prick. We're gonna let you lead it.
Reverend Ben Cooper:You lead this. We can't finish you know 50 pays gonna run out in the orange one day. I've got the wires tapped into the electric outside EDF energy thanks for charging the church up. Come on. This is
Simon Pinchbeck:where you if you listen, if you're out there and you listen to what we've got to say and really where we're at in the road here with this stuff, and it's not as speaking this week, we have no message apart from on the spirit the Lord gives us not the Spirit of the Lord is we we got nothing in the flesh of the Spirit Lord has given us this exactly this message. And if it if it relates to you, and praise God does. You know, if you're in a place, you're in a place of the wilderness, you're in a place where, where, where your priorities are all mixed up, you've been covered over our life, or we just sent you around in the Lord encouraged yourself in the Lord, your God seeking, and you will find him seeking with all your heart and you will find him and we pray for those out there that has maybe stepped off the track. And we pray that though, you'll show them the right path, the right path back to you back to Jesus Christ and back to the Father. And if you're out there, and you listen to this, and you're suddenly thinking, well, the signpost is pointing back to me, then we pray that you'll break that cycle. Now we pray that you will listen to the lead to the greater voice or not less voice, you'll put a block on that less of voice, Lord. And you'll make the voice of Jesus stand out so clearly, and your eyes will follow Jesus and you'll stay under that umbrella of Jesus Christ. We pray that for everyone out there that they'll follow the footsteps of Jesus Christ. So stay behind the shoe because, listen, know the plans the Lord's got for you are just amazing. Yeah, but you need to stay behind his son Jesus and follow him. And he might you need to make him the Lord of your life. And not anything else in your life. That Jesus has to be the Lord of your life because we can do nothing where Jesus Christ so we are nothing without Jesus Remember that? And come to this point and say, Lord, I surrender totally to you. Every single area of my life out there is yours. I surrender every single one of my like any secret stuff that's out there, God, God, our gift to you now bring it to the foot to your grace and accept your son Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Savior and leader. Amen. Back to you caught out man, Jesus night, God. Amen. Amen. Amen.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Amen. And Amen. Simon, thank you so much for joining us today. You know, it's been good to just chat and to be real you know, if anyone needs Simon out there whether you're looking at us for that means are listening to us through this means you can catch him in real man for Christ. You know, sometimes is on crime watch, but
Simon Pinchbeck:yeah, you'll catch him everywhere. In the words of the Terminator. I'll be back.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Thank you for joining us this morning this afternoon, wherever you are. You have been listening to Simon Pinchbeck and myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. What mom Mama, Mama, we love you. Stay safe. Stay under the blood of Jesus. Amen. I continue to follow the King of glory.
Simon Pinchbeck:Come on. Amen. Come on.
