Hello and welcome. Thank you for joining us here in Elim church in Swanley. You're joining myself, Reverend Benjamin Leonard Cooper. And every time I say that I smile, especially when Simon's on the opposite side of the table, because I was brought up in a shopping trolley not in a palace, VLC VLC, hopefully you'll join us here in church as we are doing a professional podcast, my word, my word, and my word, camera. We've lost it. Thanks for listening. Yeah, that's it, we've reached it. That's the band that we're here in elim church. It is January we are in lockdown. God is alive. His Word is sharper than a double edged sword. And we have our friend we have our good brother, Simon Pinchbeck that's joined us this hour as we just record this, you know, the Power Hour as we just push us out on different social media platforms. But we thank God for Simon and his resilience to the, to the ministries that have been trying to grab him over the years and to lift him up rather than lift Jesus up. So we thank you, Simon for your, your strength to stay steadfast in the Word of God. God has used you. And we can see that and we're not lifting you up and for you to, you know, I got nothing to pay at the day. It's an IOU again.
Simon Pinchbeck:I was that time. Listen, man, I've got I've got to say to you, I think you're right what you said there, you know, it's great to be here. Again, I love coming to here. And I love what you're doing in this place it it really is an encouragement, believe me. And but you know, the last time on our journey during during all of this lockdown. And we say more and more on the journey really for me is it's all about Jesus. It's just more Jesus, you know, Listen, I've been 2002 I kind of open and since 2004, I've been on a road with various ministries or I would tell people about what Jesus Christ has done in my life. But for the vast majority of that time, I've realized what I'd done was I was using Jesus to write my story. There dangerous stuff as I was using Jesus to write my story. But isn't it easy to do that? And yeah, and listen, that God's got to use that because he uses the foolish things. But Jonah, slow down, what I've realized is that Jesus is the story.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Jesus is the story.
Simon Pinchbeck:He's right, his story. For us. That's where the power is, is that this brought me to that place where, you know, we just always we say time and time again, but it's all about submitting to Jesus, surrender, surrender, following him, and follow him into the father and then just keep following Him praise God. And it's nothing about what we can do and, and today's or this podcast message is, is our fear no evil, and on the back of those three keys to defeating stubborn sin. Now, I take very little credit for this this thing this morning, because this was something that I had pastor Wilkinson, David Wilkerson, bless him. He's not with us anymore. But he was. He wrote the Cross and the Switchblade. Yeah, he was the founder of tea challenge. Yeah. And this was this has been taken from a talk he did to Okay, all the guys from Teen Challenge in New York, right? And he was talking to him about, about stubborn sin. And I think, as we're coming to 2021, it's time to clean house. It really is time to clean house for all of us. We should have enough time to get you stubborn set up and sin that is a challenge stubbornly sin. Well, it is and we should fail. And we shouldn't do you know Psalm 23 for Jay though vote for the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear now even less right that's where we're at. is cleaning the house out clean the house and what is the house Me? Yes, you
Reverend Ben Cooper:Lord, you're sweet for me helped me to get rid of stubborn sin that helped me to deal with the stuff in my life that is ungodly is not right that is not pure. Help me Lord keep me on the potter's will shape me and mold me Lord because if you don't take me from this old biller client shape me Lord I'm no good I'm no good but with you I'm everything with you and everything and his to do he's not looking for perfection. God is he you know, he know what he's looking for us to, as we said, looking for a vessel at heart totally a heart a heart they can work with and what sets us free bang, the truth the truth.
Simon Pinchbeck:Free deli,
Reverend Ben Cooper:I'm getting lost for words because this really speaks truth. Yeah, but You gotta have truth spoken into your life to realize that there are misgivings there are things going on in me that is not right that God needs to deal with. Could we be dealing with anger? Could we be dealing with bitterness? Could we be dealing with the pride of life? Could we be dealing with lust of the flesh coupled with dealing with gambling, addiction, addictions, drinking smoking? I mean, because that's just me blowing up on our fingers. Cuz you got more than that lot going on.
Simon Pinchbeck:But that's the truth. The truth is stuff gossip, you know, even TV. Yeah, watching all that sort of stuff. Where do I spend my time?
Reverend Ben Cooper:You get to the floor. Where do I spend my time? Yeah, show me.
Simon Pinchbeck:JOHN wimber said Didn't he said yeah, show me where you spend your time, your energy and your money and I'll show you what you worship. And that's the so when you look at that
Reverend Ben Cooper:you've been listening to turn the lights are gonna get down before the Lord does that when you look on the floor? Make sure you breathe in like you can feel your heart racing Katya. Where do you spend your time?
Simon Pinchbeck:And why do you spend so what time you're given, truly given to the Lord really know him? Yeah. What time? are they watching? Game Over? Yeah, down down for all while doing work or doing work or spending time in the office spending time in front of the computer spending time on the phone? Look how you can measure your time on social media with the apps and all that. What if they don't get me wrong a bit a bit flipping here. But imagine if you could if Christ put that on your phone as well. time you spent with me. So you look at your your Facebook time you look at your screen time you look at your steps. Yeah. You look at your steps. You look at
Reverend Ben Cooper:Jesus time. Jesus time. Yeah. Oh, Lord. I want to give you what I would say.
Simon Pinchbeck:Just you know, mobile phone is massive, isn't it? Yeah. And look at your history. Yeah. What am I searching my ear? What? What are you looking at? What am I doing laptop time? Phone time? What time how many hours do I give to a to a tower? That is that will knock me out. It's something I've pushed me over a long time. I've asked people to do it. Just Just put up a get a piece of paper. Simple. Put a line down the middle. Tommy given to the Lord. I mean, I'm done. I'm talking about spending time in the in the secret closet on in the privateness. Yeah, get to know him. Yeah. And time you're doing other things. Man, the bat scale was that I don't
Reverend Ben Cooper:know. We're silent. Because that's where it comes down to. That's what it comes down to is how much time you're spending, you know, even in conversation with a father. Yeah. Just Just get into that position of Bob to be continuous in prayer. Yeah, just that is continue speaking. Jesus. Thank you for this for driving. And just chatting with God and liberation free. Tony
Simon Pinchbeck:tells us this tonight, Jesus knocks at the door of our heart. Yeah. And so if we open a heart and let him in, finish it with him. Yeah. even talking to Jesus about things that are farther. Yeah. about Jesus about your daily grind, if you like, yeah. And sharing things with him. Now, as we said before, on a previous podcast, you know, he wants us to share stuff with him. He wants to know, every single corner of our lives telling Yeah, he knows every corner, but he wants to hear us talk about the corner. And if you think, oh, that's not big enough for God. Well, you know, nothing's big. Is it? You know, he's, he's tall. And this is the God of Israel. Yeah. And he's got a world in his hands. He created it for the power of speech, let there be light. And there was so he just wants us to trust him just to be the father just
Reverend Ben Cooper:for us for talk to talk to him. But is it a conversation? You've got a beautiful daughter? Yeah. Molly. Yeah. And so, so
Simon Pinchbeck:if Molly's got a problem, you'd like him to come to you? Yeah. Or maybe a mom. Yeah. No, yeah. You will not find out that that Molly's been talking to the next door neighbor or a friend of hers correct. I have no sense to come to you.
Reverend Ben Cooper:That would like a Crusher.
Simon Pinchbeck:So this is saying we've got a gun the fall but he wants us to come bring good stuff to Jesus. Amen. And start to talk to him about it. And and, and what let Jesus helpers and walk with us through this but he
Reverend Ben Cooper:Even even before the lockdown even before a lockdown ever existed that word, the church were locked. Even though we was coming to church was we really given time to Jesus?
Simon Pinchbeck:No, no, no, that's, that's the ones were given time to Christ.
Reverend Ben Cooper:We was following a program. Where did the program come from? Busy? What do you mean? A busy staff we get caught up doing stuff. It's so so easy to get caught up doing stuff. Did we come to church because we wanted to seek Him? Did we come to church because we wanted to see our chance did we come to church because it's a social event? I'm since I'm a candidate. I'll go to church, or did we really got a check? box to tick the box? Yeah. Did I go to church? Because I got to hear a word from I got to hear from God today. Yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:And, and it makes me sad. You know, many places people came in with this stuff. Yeah. And went out with it as well. Yeah. But in the world over there, it was praised alone and getting dogs to carry a cup of tea bear.
Reverend Ben Cooper:conviction. You don't come under conviction.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, totally. So listen, moving, moving forward with this stuff. Now there'll be seasons in our life where we have victory. Yeah. But sometimes we return to this old stubborn stuff, don't we? Definitely. Sometimes we will forget, we're free of it. And then it's normally at a time when we're perhaps a little bit tired. Maybe at an argument indoors or something like that. And we just think, you know, you snap anger or you click on a wrong thing, or you're so rundown of your butt. It's so easy. It's so easy to bend what will be said. We cannot beat this stuff
Reverend Ben Cooper:on your own.
Simon Pinchbeck:In the flesh. You can't do it can use impossible. Jesus.
Reverend Ben Cooper:It's impossible. It's with the Father with the son and with the Holy Spirit.
Simon Pinchbeck:You're bang on, you know, there is a way to be free. Yeah, but it's no gimmicks. No, not. No spreadsheets. Oh, no special program. No, no grant, just Jesus and the Holy Spirit,
Reverend Ben Cooper:by faith. By faith Yeah, just shall live by faith.
Simon Pinchbeck:As we come to the first key look, let's make a note of the fact that a lot of the New Testament victories were rooted weren't they in the Old Testament? Yeah. Especially like if we look at even if you look at Deuteronomy seven, it just says, When the Lord your God brings you into the land, which you go to possess, hallelujah. He has cast out many nations before you the Hittites and all the other ISIS kiss them all out. So if we look at some of the some of the things that we talk about, so Egypt Yes, this is the sin is the land of sin. Pharaoh was the enemy. Yeah, the devil. Yeah. And the testmasters and the height so our old Yeah, strong goals and habits in them. So that brings on the first keeping, do not be afraid of your sin.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Do not be afraid, but the enemy will try or will try to keep you living in it. Because if we can keep you living in it, it's got us He wants you but when you get free of it, he's done yeah, he can't get you so you need to talk about be vocal about it and not and not allow the center put you in a position of fear because all have sinned and fallen short of His glory totally. And and you said it we
Simon Pinchbeck:the amount of times you know I've done these I do a lot of stuff with one one day stuff when we can work with guys and we get them to spill out a bit of secret stuff that they Yeah, the Holy Spirit convicts him off and at the end to a tee you know, men have turned around and said I'm so pleased I'm here because I didn't realize that you are going through the same thing as what I'm going through. I thought it was just me. I thought it was just me.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I thought everyone else in the church was got the beautifully and they smile nice on a Sunday. But I'm sitting there struggling with online gambling struggling with a little tipple struggling with a couple of stellar our tourists and yeah, you know, he got a little cheeky fag hanging out when I drive on. I we like a scratch car.
Simon Pinchbeck:We had a meeting the other weekend. A guy? He said, fellas, he said, You know I'm alright during the week but the weekend? I'm intervale vodka, you know? Yeah, but a couple of bubbles over the weekend. He's brought into the light. Yeah, that's gonna power anymore. It's got no no power. Wisdom is gone. Because he's brought a secret. It's not a secret anymore. It's not Secret, you know? Fear, oh, the word it can be infectious. Okay on it, it can very easily because we are living in a time now where there is a lot of fear. And one of the biggest yet when right now right now in a pandemic, pandemic, one of the biggest things in the Bible where fear spread like wildfire was the Yeah, the spies on it coming back from
Reverend Ben Cooper:that season. Isn't that interesting that you think that the the spies were sent out? And a tiny percentage Joshua and Caleb, just to said, we recognize what you see. But we recognize how God can get us through. Yeah, but the others went, now we ain't going no, we aren't going there's a bad report. And that that was that was in Israel that was in the truck that was in this in them. Yeah. So how would it be for us in the church, there will be a small group of believers that will go We can do this. Three quarters, and more can possibly go with closing the doors. That's it. Game over. It's too big for us.
Simon Pinchbeck:And the thing is gone and said time and time again. And trust me. Trust me, once you say Follow me, I love I love. One Samuel 1747 I love is the battle his mind says the Lord, the battle is mine. So how do we get ourselves into that position? We trust and faith, trust and faith. And yeah, the battle is mine. So so we get this stuff out and trust and faith and listen to this in Deuteronomy, Deuteronomy 20. I'll just read a few lines. It says, when you go out into battle against your enemies, see horses and chariots and people, more numerous than you do not be afraid, or more numerous than you. So you've got a clear, because the Lord your God is with you.
Reverend Ben Cooper:The crowd is bigger than you than you. But the crowd is not bigger than God. And the enemy is not bigger than God. And that's how we overcome fear. But in it, it's trust in the Lord and the power is mine. So I could go through the majority of my life, spirit looking spiritually now you look spiritually and think, right, the enemy, the system of all that stuff is coming at me all the time. It's going to be relentless. Yeah. So it's not for me to try and think that once that's gone, it's gone. Gone, because there'll be another one behind. There'll be another chariot, there'll be another wave, there'll be another keener there'd be another Pharaoh. There'll be a gender belt waiting in the wings, there'll be a Judas trying to sell me there'd be this and that. So what I need to do is recognize from the kickoff point now that I will always be under attack because of persecution.
Simon Pinchbeck:And that's an that's a great, great point. That you will always be under the hammer. Yeah, the thing is, what happens is you get attacked you get attacked more once you've had a victory in your life. So you've had this victory Yeah, you've overcome this. you've laid something down. Yeah. And the enemy is tremble because when you you know when you defeat this stuff when you put this stuff into practice, the enemy trembles and you but the moment you relax into
Unknown:Chicago yeah he's in there again. The mother talks about being watchman being watched from a watch money in the dark. Yeah, yeah, gotta keep it going. But I cannot watch in the dark he's not watching in the dark. you're you're you're picking up the movement of the enemy in the darkness and because you're tuned in
Simon Pinchbeck:the way that I would you know, it's just a way maybe that I that I use stuff to help me is is early in the mornings. Get some scriptures out there cam over your life. Yeah, because of you but because of Jesus Christ. Yeah, you know, I've got a little little gym, and I've got scriptures all written.
Unknown:I mean, you got a little friend Jim. What do you mean you got a little Joe I am I am Yeah, just a little man. No, yeah. And read them out of your life. You got
Simon Pinchbeck:to prepare your day so
Reverend Ben Cooper:what would we recommend to someone Psalm 91 Psalm 23 yes so
Simon Pinchbeck:all the all the all the all the promises a lot so what I've got a I've got john free free you got me born again. You've got you've got the obviously the armor of God the shield of faith, the saw that sort of the spirit and that stuff and as you go around, you've got Matthew 633 seek first the kingdom. Yeah, I could do all things through Christ. Yeah, no. And, you know, God will come on to Deuteronomy 31 eight, which is, you know, do not be Fear for because the Lord your God, guys before you. Yeah, all that all those so we pull this together it all is to get in the morning. wake up soon as soon as well you know as soon as you get into your day, and it doesn't take it doesn't take long keep keep keep saying it keeps saying get one scripture in your heart. Keep saying it because mean it feel it. Because, listen, we know what the written word is the logos, yes, yeah, but the Rhema word which is a strike a Rhema strike as a spoken word. Get it over your life speaking not but not because of who you are. Because because of what Jesus has done for you. Yeah, that's the first right yeah. And totally get beyond that shield of faith is God far from beyond the shield of faith? And following Jesus today?
Reverend Ben Cooper:I'm trusting you trusting you. Yeah, I feel tired. Lord, take the tiredness. Yeah, a lot of worry. Today, take the worry today whatever's
Simon Pinchbeck:coming in to your life. And that's about it. Be vocal about it. verbalize it? Yeah. You know, because we don't want to be going back to Egypt doing No, we don't want to be going back to Egypt.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Now there's an exodus isn't moving forward with 5050 a minute. I think the church is 5050 it'd be interesting to see what way we're gonna go with what's happening, what the church is saying. Are we for Jesus? Are we for fairer? Are we gonna let Pharaoh catch us up and just take us back and we'll bake more bricks? Or we're gonna go we're gonna get in the promised land. A shout out the name of Jesus. I think we will be going into the promised land. But I think maybe it will be a smaller number than what you've just seen. It looks a bit different. Very different. Yeah. So there's an exodus within the church living the church. There's an exodus within the church, and that when you talk about Exodus, what was between Pharaoh and the Israelites? There was an exodus within the exodus because a lot of the Israelites have Why have you brought us up out here? There's no grumbling Yeah, we want to go back. We want to die. We want to that would rather die under the hand of Pharaoh, Pharaoh, the children of Israel. Well, that's that brings up the first point, the first key, yes, do not be afraid. So the first key is Do not be afraid of your sin. A second key is God will supernaturally deliver you from your enemies.
Simon Pinchbeck:But again, then, and we said it time and time again please do not think you can defeat this stuff in the flesh. He can do this impossible. Now. And we're talking about Pharaoh and his army, tinea and Exodus 1414. What that says stand still and still
Reverend Ben Cooper:and still and the Lord will fight for you.
Simon Pinchbeck:You might think Pharaohs armies too big. We just say
Reverend Ben Cooper:yes, 600 chariots is fine horseman, his art. He had everything coming against the children of Israel.
Simon Pinchbeck:They could see it as a cloud of noise.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Imagine what that was like the rumble of the chariots on the horse? Isn't the enemy to fight for
Simon Pinchbeck:Moses? Because they were on the edge of the Red Sea? Well, yeah, yeah. Imagine if they try to cross that sea by themselves and then invite you to take gone in their own ground, they would have been holding kids out there, their heads would have been drowning now on what a cross on each one it no one would across that you made a point in you. In the just before we God leaves it to last when your last breath when you go, where are you? Where are you? Where are you, Father, because all I say I need you all I see the enemy, the enemy approaching, I've got jessieville over in that corner. I've got Pharaoh over there. And I've got a king of foreign King chasing me down. I've got the system chasing me down. My back is against the wall. The Red Sea is in front of me. Pharaohs behind me, where I was a catch 22 Where am I? Yeah.
Reverend Ben Cooper:What do I do? What do I do? And what did God say to Moses and the children of Israel? When? When Moses went and he and he said, really interesting texts in I think it's in Exodus chapter five. Moses goes and speaks to God. And he says, ever since I was that I was told by you to go to Pharaoh and to speak about you this trouble? Yeah, it's trouble. It's trouble every time I've delivered a message from you. To him. There's been trouble on these people. What are you doing? And it God said to Moses, standstill and you will see the deliverance standstill you will see the glory of me the glory of the Lord will be shown for out your enemies but you gotta trust me, God Trust me. And what did that do take you to the edge or on the edge. And what did he do? He opened up the Red Sea
Simon Pinchbeck:and went for a dry run went for him. They went through a coconut, the Red Sea and all They can have their heart he can open your heart up and he will open a way for us to, and he will. Not Yeah, but this has to be God. It can't be religion or legalism. Don't be anything like that. Can it been? No, it can't he can't leave the church can't do it. bishops leaders, you know, no one can do this. But God, it can only be supernatural intervention for the God of Israel that we serve. So there are many people, families, there are many people that are married many people that are single their brothers and sisters at this moment with Pharaoh behind them. Yeah. And in front of them is a situation that you could almost say, if I'm ever going to be drowned in this situation, or I'm going to be slaughtered in this situation one way or another. If my god doesn't given an open door, he can only do it supernaturally, only to supernaturally and he parted the sea no one on earth could do that sort of thing. On what he does revise, he puts a new heart in us, Danny. Become a new man. Yeah, you know, again in in the old testament to Chronicles Hezekiah. Is this massive army? Yeah, huge army. You know, how does he got no chance?
Reverend Ben Cooper:He's got no chance of winning this? No chance. How am I gonna get out of this? What am I gonna do?
Simon Pinchbeck:What happens? He calls out a lord puts his trust in the Lord and the Lord sense and angels and kills all goes amongst that camp and just kills them all down. Oh, just kills them all. And he's got victory. That's what he can do. His faith is trust. Yeah, it's trust. You know, let's get some Holy Spirit powers. You know, let's, let's get some because the battle is the Lord's without making
Reverend Ben Cooper:me really think that we see that. That it can only be faith. Yeah. Yeah, we are living in a world that is full of materialism. Everything's instant. Everything is now. But the only way is through faith is the only way you can only go can only do this by faith.
Simon Pinchbeck:And the Lord says he will deliver us from our enemies and local drive out the lights in your life. Seven heights. There was seven nights. Yeah. Seven try them out. I am your shield.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, I am your rampart, he must, you know,
Simon Pinchbeck:the Lord must bang his head against a brick wall time and time again with people you know, he's going to just trust me. I'm going to take you to the edge. I'm going to take you 10am but just trust in me. That's all I'm want. There's that beautiful bit of scripture in the book of Joshua, I love gesture, you know that. Joshua were the priests were taken to the brink take it to the brink of the water's edge. And I love the way that that that is written because the brink means no return. no return. They had to go and stand in the brink in in in this place of no return. But they're when they looked across the river Jordan, they must have fought what is going to happen to us. We're carrying it Hark. We've been given instruction. And that is the hardest thing to do is to come under the instruction because the world is so noisy. The world is so noisy. That's a great point. It's so noisy. So So what you're saying really is that you have to hear God, you have to hear you got to read all the noise. And that's an interesting point. Because what did he say? Were they crossed over to Jordan, and they marched around this walled city of Jericho. He said march around it, but don't do it in silence. Do it in silence. That's how it works. Why? Because what would happen? There would be mumblings and grumblings and don't want to give a war cry, don't don't do this won't be infectious. And just walk and if people are started talking, they would have gone we can't do this. We can't This is too big for us. That's what a weapon so he said, do it. Within days, they've gone through standing in the brink looking at this, this river at full flood stage, coming under instruction and being told by the god that's going to deliver them go and stand in the problem. Understand in a gold standard it white gone white for me. So then suddenly the Jordan paths, they cross onto new land, new territory. But you'd go to the church of goat we've made it but there was on the plains of Jericho. So there was another challenge. Another challenge another challenge. But victory only came for obedience. Yeah. And then we see Joshua lose, didn't we? Because a couple of little fellows in his camp when let's keep some plunder for us. Yeah, yeah. Let's keep you know, this is good this stuff that we're in. Let's keep some for us. Yeah. Let's keep some for a rainy day. And it affected the rest of the rest of the camp. Yeah. Isn't that interesting with the church? Yeah, a little bit of poison comes in over the years wrong preaching Wrong, wrong teaching, bending the Scripture, a little bit of let's take this self stuff, promote it in a different way. Let's use the scripture as for and it filters through the whole camp.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, yeah. So there is a challenge for for a believer, as a big challenge. You may be pressing in like never before coming under instruction. But there's someone in your camp filtering stuff. Yeah. And it will affect you.
Simon Pinchbeck:So we have to be amongst all this. So God will supernaturally deliver you. But you've got to be careful. Listen, be careful, I would say with Yeah. Be careful who you let pray for you. Yeah. Be careful who you keep company with Be careful who you watch or listen to. Just because on a bike point of this, you know, lots of people be watching the internet, YouTube or whatever. Yeah. And there's a lot of profits out there that aren't
Reverend Ben Cooper:profits.
Simon Pinchbeck:They're probably so bad. They're coming out that you know that they're saying a ticket in people's ears. They're saying, Yeah, what you want to hear so you go with the crowd, be very, very careful. Really, you listen to and listen, as you said to what the Lord says to convict you here if you've got a conviction in here that that this stuff is not right. It's a good place to be to be in under conviction. Yeah, God is. God is is is showing you, Ben, it's not right. So the two the three keys we've got Don't be afraid of your sin. Get it out in the open and realize and trust that God will supernaturally deliver you from this and then the third key is this. And this is very important is it will deliver you little by Bill. One step at a time.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, that's what we love this. I really love that this stuff won't happen. All at once. Jericho did not fall. On one walk, no.
Simon Pinchbeck:Exodus, Exodus 23. We're gonna have a look quick look at 2329 during the Bible, I noticed by that I just found it in the front of the church has some heard of these days. We've got self promoting literature, but your your church is full of Bibles.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So we've had a turnaround over the last number of months.
Simon Pinchbeck:It says it says this it says he said I will not drive them out before you in one year less than lamb become desperate and the beast of the field become too numerous. Little by little are driving them out from before you until you have increased and you will inherit the land. So there's a process it's a process there's a process just like there was a process with the River Jordan the process Yeah, Jericho, the process process. There is little by little by little. So you got gotten a father. You don't recognize as you recognize his one man. As Jesus Christ. Yeah. And he recognizes us for Jesus Christ. And isn't he you know, so? Is it ill? If he, if he was deliver you from everything in an instant? What would happen?
Reverend Ben Cooper:What would happen? It'd be delivered me all day long. Because?
Simon Pinchbeck:Because we're so we were so weak and we live in the flesh. You know, we're gonna say what I'm special. I'm special. Look. He loves me. I'm blessing delivered me from the Yeah. And what's going to happen? West Also, we're going to come back to self. Yeah, again. So it's not pointing to him. And like he says, will become barren and empty. And pride would enter there. And all of a sudden, we'll be walking around and look at me. Yeah, that what I've done. Oh, you still struggling with that? Yeah, that's right.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah. And what was Jesus always saying? I'm doing my father's will to my father's father's Yeah, I do my father's will. is so important. I'm doing my father's will
Simon Pinchbeck:see some of this stuff. We can be delivered from physically so I guess it's the physical cravings for stuff can we can be delivered from that. Yeah, very quickly. But, but the mental cravings, the mental stuff is what we like this because this is where the enemy will work. It will work here. He will bring things up in my memory.
Reverend Ben Cooper:There'll be a trigger point.
Simon Pinchbeck:Like I said,
Reverend Ben Cooper:back on back to there, I've gone back to Egypt when you die, so I can be physically away from that. Yeah, but it's still in my fault still in my processing. So not only has God got to deliver me for the means of the visual stuff that this is the battlefield, the battlefield, have the thought process of the, of the thinking of the mind of the battlefield of carrying it here is carrying it. That's why the enemy uses it. He uses it in head. He uses the memory he uses of do remember when it was that good? Yeah. Do you have
Simon Pinchbeck:the craving? Yeah. tired when we're a little bit, you know, someone's at a little poppers or whatever? Yeah, yeah. It's, you see if you're getting tougher, because you start to feel convicted, you know, you know, and that's really, so that's when you know, that God is really working is when we become silent. Because what we always said, Here, look, he wants us to get to know Jesus. He wants us to get to know Jesus, He wants us to get to know the Trinity. So that's right. So when we say how do I say how do I get to know Jesus? And I said, So listen, if he was to deliver us from all this in an instant,
Reverend Ben Cooper:yeah. What
Simon Pinchbeck:we want what we really need to get to know Jesus, because he's delivering us not just like, yeah, so what we got to do, we've got a little Get to know Jesus Christ, Christ was on a journey. It's inches by inches. And what does that lead to at least of glory to glory and as a victor fight Christ, we know that Christ came to die upon a cross to rise again, to now send in everything to the cross of Calvary, but he didn't do it in an instant. No take any particular point. I I think about this a lot that from the point of when he was beaten and whipped and spat upon all that he could have just wiped all that off of him but he had to go on a journey for that so the scriptures would be fulfilled and interesting. He could have very interesting grieved over them and they would have become the Duster and I was all around him ganging up on him being a weapon in the pirate seized the the legal model for late we've got this guy now I can't even think about what got him the one that punch Christ. Think about that. You when you It makes you Oh, my goodness. You know, what makes me when he was on the on the path when he's on the road when he was carrying the cross, cheering a spirit kicking him and tripping him or these people that have been cheering for him. Just a few weeks earlier, Lion Udine comes out. He comes he comes. He comes. Messiah was interested in the crowd will turn on you very quickly. So seeing it all over the world now you're seeing it? You know, when the narratives driven Wednesday? They love you. Yeah, Friday they want to now Yeah,
Reverend Ben Cooper:yeah, yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, that's it. That's the way isn't it?
Reverend Ben Cooper:The crowd, the crowd will go wild with the crowd go with the mainstream. It's alright. The crowd is a riot. And it's for you all the time that they're going to get something from it. But when there's Oh, God, we can we can
Simon Pinchbeck:we can really get into that. But you know, you know, God doesn't bring us out. To send us back again. They don't bring us out of Egypt, to send us back in the way he not, doesn't bring us out of fear to send us back into fear. Now. He he, he brings you out to bring you in. Praise God to his son Jesus Christ. That's why greatness freedom. Yeah. Small steps. inch by inch. Just a steady journey, a steady journey. You know, and we we do this. There's a lot of preachers that there's a lot of talk out there and you believe Really? I guess what you like but I'd say this. I said I'd say that Tim? I think it's a lie that God goes away from you. I think he's there all the time. All the time. marmosets are nothing can separate from a lot of guys that is in Christ Jesus.
Reverend Ben Cooper:It's only as a separate radical side of us, the political side of us.
Simon Pinchbeck:So you you get involved in this in sin. You get involved in some of this stuff and stuff and God's gonna say are gonna look at you until you get rid of that. I can't look at you. I love you, but I can't. I can't look at your to do confess that, yeah, get it out in the open and oh, I've given you everything. All the tools I've given you all I've given you It always says It really cuts deep to the it really cuts deep. You've got to, there's certain things in all of our lives. Well, there's got to be laid on a boardroom table of heaven. Certain things we laid out on the table. Yeah. Just as much when you and Jesus just between you Father, Son and Holy Spirit, it won't go no further because God will go you're in a safe place. You're in a safe place. What what?
Reverend Ben Cooper:What so tell me Yeah, isn't that interesting that God sees all we know the end from the beginning of the beginning from the end, he sees everything but we think that I can hold it away from him. I can when he sent his one and only Son 2300 years before I'm committing this stuff. It's already now it's already now it's already been done. It's all been already taken care of. So what's the next step? Is the step is me confessing it?
Simon Pinchbeck:I'll tell you something. We're going to talk about this in a future podcast and that is guilt and guilt and what what I know many I know a few Christian men that that are that that ran their their lives down one route and yet their ministerial lives down another route and and would want to be want to be doing more and more ministry? Because Yeah, of the rottenness that was going on in the other side. Yeah. And they thinking that by doing that stuff, yeah, cleanse them from the our stuff. The other stuff, no, that stuff confession, confession, it's gonna enter the open and bringing it out into the open and saying,
Reverend Ben Cooper:God help me. Yeah, I'm struggling with this. I'm struggling with IBS. A lot. I've got the alphabet today. Can you help me trust the delivery says,
Simon Pinchbeck:I'll drive out your enemies for the seven hike, and I'll get rid of them. And so the old man should be getting weaker.
Reverend Ben Cooper:But what's interesting as well with the old, the old man should be getting weaker. What's interesting is I got told them as well, I'm taking you into this land, but your enemies living in that land, but don't follow their pattern. So you've got to live different. Yeah, he's told the Israelites you've got to live very differently, to the way they're living. They are living on the same turf as you. They are your neighbors. You are going to be in them, but don't adopt their foreign gods. But what did they do? They made a promise land. I'm Gods with me. We're free. And the minute our lovely God gets them to a place of way. Going to get them on what do they do? Oh, well. Oh, it was Gary do Oh, yeah. Oh, follow the culture in the land. He said he did.
Simon Pinchbeck:And it's crazy in it. Because you read we read in, in Kings, this king for the Lord. And it was victories and everything was great. That King didn't. And everything went wonky. So well, when
Reverend Ben Cooper:he lost the plot, yeah, what is going on?
Simon Pinchbeck:The loss is returned to me. Follow me and you've got a king here that returns to things great. And then the next king comes up, he doesn't go off on his own thing and everything goes What if it goes wrong? And it's and even up until today? Because God said to him go into that land. Totally. Get rid of all those those rendus things that they were doing child sacrifices and all that sort of thing, which is abominable?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah. Get rid of it engaged in everything. Everything. Moses was up the mountain and the burning bush, his countenance changed he come down. And they was everything just a few days on it just literally comes down a man in filled with the power of single worship change worshipping foreign gods over worshiping a golden golden calf could run after he just stood there then it did nothing. Do Nothing. Nothing. You think you've got Moses up this mountain in the presence of God and the children of Israel? Or the base of the mountain? Moses must have stumped down there. We've just been with God. God Yeah. What are they doing? Oh, my goodness. It's like a show. Stop. Right? That one? Yeah, it really is. They was engaging in everything. Everything bow worshipping. I should oppose foreign gods golden calf or just drunkenness. Everything was happening to show you isn't it? Yeah. That the presence of God is here, but also the enemy. Here is here.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah. And how easy is to fall into that to be drawn drawn on
Reverend Ben Cooper:just because you're a child of God doesn't mean to say that you can't slip into a skip. Yeah, easily. Very slow. So power of repentance. Yeah, the power of repentance.
Simon Pinchbeck:But the problem is that the more you do it, the less conviction is because you said I want you to do it. So there's, there's men and women out there into this stuff. So much stuff. Yeah. Yeah. And, and there's suited to it. And And the thing is, today, sadly, society allows you to do whatever, do whatever, you can do anything. You can do anything. And so there's no, there's no guilt. It's not your fault. Someone else's fault. Yeah, you know, yeah, you know, look at the last part of judges, the Book of Judges, there is no king in Israel, each man is doing what he sees fit right in his own eyes. And we've, we've come to 1000 to simply call the plagues, the brutality, the rising up of evil leadership, suddenly realizing that governments have no power, suddenly seeing that social media is controlling the world, suddenly seeing the hierarchy system of everything. That is not what we thought it was all the big companies or the Big Pharma,
Reverend Ben Cooper:tech, they're all going in, right. And they're the kings. You know,
Simon Pinchbeck:we have a we have a guy that that made his living on the back of Microsoft computers. Yeah, he's now the king of the virus.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:Goodness knows that. This is all switched up. One, what we're saying is die. So I'd
Reverend Ben Cooper:also ask you
Simon Pinchbeck:want to get rid of this stuff? We've said it, you know, number one is don't be afraid. Okay? So be afraid of the same
Reverend Ben Cooper:take me as an example. I've got a bag of rubbish. I've got so much stuff in me and around me. I'm just, I'm like lining a lot of black bags. And how do I how do I deal with all this stuff? What What do I do? Who do I go to? Where do I go?
Simon Pinchbeck:First of all, you start off with with that stuff? You bring it to Jesus, you bring it to the fold across what we've said all along.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So how do I bring it to you not
Simon Pinchbeck:because Jesus is looking at you is going, I see that stuff. And one of them bags is called shame. Bring that stuff to me. Thanks is called guilt. How do I bring that to him? Do I literally do I literally just say, Lord, I've got a bag of shame. You confess that's not fair. So it's not on john throne. speech is dumb. verbalize it. Yeah. Bring that stuff out in the open. Don't be afraid of that step. And God will supernaturally deliver deliver you from that stuff. But
Reverend Ben Cooper:does it matter if I've got a lot of bags?
Simon Pinchbeck:It doesn't matter how many bags you've got. He wants a lot. He wants a lot. He wants to say he wants to recycle it. Why did he want he wants to burn it. He wants to get rid of now to the query. Gong Gong, as the Bible says, bears in the deepest ocean yet God only don't want you going back to it. So he doesn't want you going back into Egypt. I've handed him a bag, you've handed him that I've got freedom. You've got you've got that freedom. And now he's saying I've got to be careful. Now he's saying, keep your eyes on me. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Because a way more than that. He wants you to put your arms around him so we could cook. Can we pray a prayer like this? Lord, I've got lots of bags. I bring you the bags. One by one on nine the bags. Yeah, What's in the bag and name it? I just do this quietly. Yeah, bring this to you now. Yeah. And load I asked that you will just put your arms around me embrace me, embrace me. Just embrace me. Jesus Hold me tight. Keep me on the potter's wheel shaped me and mold me. Because just as we read in the New Testament where Christ was in the wilderness, and he was being tempted it says that the devil left them until an opportune time. So I need to be careful that I don't feel that bag up again. So I've got a I've got to pray and say, God, keep me in your arms. Let's blind my eyes to the world blind, my eyes to temptation, blow my eyes to what the world is offering and open my eyes to Jesus. Totally. And here's the deal. We all slip and fall from time to time. But the Bible tells us clearly there's no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus so we can that those arms are always there. So that's a big word and the thing, no condemnation, and that's what that's what the enemy wants from you. He wants to guilt. condemnation. Bring it back. Bring it back all the time. Sorry, father. Yeah. That that time. And the thing that the more that you do that the more conviction they'll be sometimes it can almost feel like you're you're lying on the dustbin bags of life. Yeah.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah and you've got so used to it that you think I can't This is this stuff I've made my bed in it I've got a Dubai. Yeah, if the world was the polar Dubai back, they're gonna see black bags filled with all sorts of stuff and
Simon Pinchbeck:and there's a deal because that is then you know that is our comfort zone that is our comfort blanket, you know, yes, if you if you can put it like that. So in times of hardship, yes, comfort in the flesh, the flesh wants to want you to go back to that, yeah, the flesh wants you to go back to that scratch guard and want to go back to that image that's on a computer, they want you to go back to that. Because to the drink. Yeah. And, and so you might have to walk humbly with God and realize that daily victories are not made in the flesh, no, made in stone on
Reverend Ben Cooper:a journey, that is a journey,
Simon Pinchbeck:it is when we gotta change our attitude as well, because we got our attitude of not giving up, not giving in, can't go down, can't give, I'm not going back to Egypt, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna allow me black bags, I'm not gonna take their black x back to Egypt. Go back and fill
Reverend Ben Cooper:them up again,
Simon Pinchbeck:I've given up to you, Jesus. Now I'm going to move forward. And listen, we know our audio is believing difficulties. And if you've got to do that, on an hourly basis, we do it, we do it because listen, if you've got an axe, and you've got to chop down a tree once we ain't gonna do it. It's been relentless, been relentless, I keep working. And Ben made a great effort, we will get victory in that area. But then there'll be another tree, there'll be another area as a forest in front of you, in front of you. I will never stop doing that. And like we said before, if you're comfortable in this place in this world in this, then you're in the wrong place. Because this is not your final destination now. It's good to feel uncomfortable. It's great. Because that's, that's the Holy Spirit bringing conviction. Yeah. And we know God can deliver us overnight bad. But he may take us through a journey, a process, a strengthening, yes, appearance that I've got to keep going. I've got to keep going. You mentioned that word, perseverance. You know, it says in the Bible, those who ensure to the end will be saved. Yeah. It's also says in the Bible, James 112, that perseverance, I've got a persevere and they will receive the crown.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Go on load.
Simon Pinchbeck:The enemies seen many people start things, the enemies seen many people step out onto that rug. And he's done worrying that really don't worry. But it's the ones that Keep going. Keep persevering. The trade, keep chipping a tree, keep, you know, keep keep going into the arms of Jesus. Yeah, that's where the power is and the power of His word, keep going to the point, the other ones that he notices and thinks war, hold on a minute. There's something going on and
Reverend Ben Cooper:as long as forest is gonna be empty, so yeah, they're relentless. They're relentless. They're using the word
Simon Pinchbeck:and you know, if you need to get some like minded souls around you, yeah, I say do it. But be careful who you bring into your life. Be very careful. We we've been may have been have been speaking about this as we come into 2021 there are people in our lives that the Lord I believe is just stripping away
Reverend Ben Cooper:definitely
Simon Pinchbeck:because they're dead sapping their sappers. They go down the wrong and it's all about them. Some of them. That's right. Yeah. What we're talking about is discipleship. Yeah. Being Yeah. being accountable, accountable, and during the life of each other, but, but get the right people. So you get the right people in your life. You get the right people praying for you. And the Lord. You know, the Lord is just moving people out.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Even praise God
Simon Pinchbeck:remove Cosmos he wants, he wants you, whoever you are my friend to walk in freedom. That's what we want freedom and he wants you to walk with his Son, Jesus Christ. God, hallelujah. He wants you to come back to him. That's what we got here. I need to be free. We want to be free.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah. Simon,
Simon Pinchbeck:and we come back to the right because the truth was free and it was the truth. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus Christ is the truth. A man who says we've been as we've come into the land Do you want to say a little prayer for coming on land? What Terry? Okay, come on. Come on. Yeah, it's been good. You
