Welcome, thank you for joining us here on our podcast in elim church. You're doing myself Reverend Ben Cooper and we have Simon Pinchbeck with us this morning that has flown all the way in from America. And he hasn't had the job. He doesn't need a passport now Come on, seriously. Good morning, wherever you are across the world and we are on YouTube this morning. God bless you, wherever you are across the world. And as we record this podcast, we just gathering around the mics for the power hour and as we just talk about Jesus, Jesus is the center. And you know that intro was absolutely awful. We thank God that you are joining us but you are joining us here in Elan church in Swanee. As we just rested in the Word of God, the Word of God is so powerful so key, you can find us on buzzsprout Spotify Apple Music, I Heart Radio, Google Play Alexa, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, good morning, YouTube, all those down the other side of the lens. But Simon has joined us and he is a good friend of ours and we welcome in and we just pray that God will continue to guide him in his life. But you know where we sit today is really interesting that we're getting a lot of listeners to these podcasts. Because we're speaking truth. We're open.
Simon Pinchbeck:I think also Ben I think they tune in for your question sense a little bit than I and today I think you've overdone it. Really. I think you're really gonna push the boat
Reverend Ben Cooper:out of Hillsong band and pink number one. I'm talking about the music the dress going on?
Simon Pinchbeck:Was that white and going to college I think unusually is different today. You got an aftershave on you got something going on today.
Reverend Ben Cooper:That might be fear. bottled up is called fear. fighter. I think I just can't miss any special liquid and everything bounces off me. It's 100% safe
Simon Pinchbeck:60% of the time.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Oh my goodness, trust the pharmaceuticals. They'll
Simon Pinchbeck:get us for the big farmers. Oh, guys,
Reverend Ben Cooper:they get frozen. They're only looking after us. Yeah, all the way only down to generations. They're only protecting us. They're not interested if
Simon Pinchbeck:I make a few quid on the side. Okay.
Reverend Ben Cooper:I think the big bosses or the farmers are living really tough and I don't think they live well. They've got one if that food banks.
Simon Pinchbeck:I told you so many have been yellow for this time. Last year. I was just so nice to meet you man. Never Die. If you put a few grand in shares in Amazon, Pfizer? AstraZeneca. Wow. You'd be sitting on some now. You'd be retiring. And if you could, you'd be smoking a cigar in Barbados. But obviously
Reverend Ben Cooper:you have to go. You can't travel.
Simon Pinchbeck:Otherwise, it's a bummer for summer. I suppose. Yeah.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Oh my gosh, you're
Simon Pinchbeck:coming into swimming. I've got to tell you. I've been here many times, but I didn't realize it. It knows that this is the town of flowers in it.
Reverend Ben Cooper:This is a town of flowers. We are winning all the prizes for flowers
Simon Pinchbeck:is surely amazing. And the other day somewhere I said I go down to Swanley a couple of times a month and they were telling me about Swanley they said they have a carnival couple of years ago he said then the carnival Queen and to get off the floats before they went through the center of town because she had an asbo is that
Reverend Ben Cooper:possibly possibly true? Yeah. That'd be back at a certain time. The tag like Cinderella with the slipper the tag the tag fits perfectly with jump which you got a job because if we don't joke you know you could cry some days. Yeah, you read the table can be exhausting Believe me so confusion, isn't it? Still?
Simon Pinchbeck:is confusion a moment? Yeah, you feel like sometimes you feel like you're flying over days you feel like you're treading in treacle you know it's so
Reverend Ben Cooper:difficult. We do laugh we do joke and we do so things quite near the knuckle but you know, it's it is what it is and we love We love Jesus. What else he got we just just just pressing on just trying to get work done and live life you know with your families, your life and everything is going on through lockdown pressure. If you can't have a little bit of bit of banter here and there. It might lock you up five grand smiling so you can travel a few weeks ago, but now if you travel, you're gonna pay five grand
Simon Pinchbeck:they just sweep it away they tempt you with it and then they go No, we're off to
Reverend Ben Cooper:temporary benedum we booked it all up. Not many mentioned benedum I know goes bad don't we can we're going on holiday kids. Come on. Let's go tickets are booked. We will Terrell. We booked it. I know people have booked seats and then can't travel five grand fine Oh gosh, it's just wearing but coming to the truth, Scripture tells us in the end times it will be confusing. Men will be saying things that they don't realize what they're saying or authorities will be doing things that they don't really know that they're doing one thing you said and then it's retracted and then it's it's it's picked apart by their own colleagues in the same department. So talk about confusion across the world there's confusion in certain offices, ivory towers, you know, and you can even see it down some leaders eyes when they're delivering their messages. You can say leave it they don't believe it themselves. You can just you know, didn't Yeah, you know, it's it is confusing, but that is where we sit biblically today
Simon Pinchbeck:is only really one man who's ever told the complete truth.
Reverend Ben Cooper:His name is Jesus Christ is Christ. Yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:And we've got a bit going back to Jesus you
Reverend Ben Cooper:have to keep coming back to Jesus we laugh we joke we we say what we say and that we have a dig and one thing or another but our heart is for Christ. Our heart is for truth our heart is to to see humanity you know, living freely in truth in truth Yeah,
Simon Pinchbeck:I mean, you got to my heart goes out to to these to some people who have they've locked themselves away for the best part of a year or nine homes have been a prison and and then they told that they got to do this and if things will loosen up and then it gets shut down and
Reverend Ben Cooper:they get shut down again and you've got and then you've got the thing that we're suffering with now, isn't it when they're when the doors do open for everything people have got this fear of meeting people have made in the crowd sorry, is bred within us a fear that Oh, hang on a minute. I'm not safe to go out you know, cannot go to the shops.
Simon Pinchbeck:I think I do you know, something been on a nail on the head in and we will get to where we're going and I mean, I'm sure but but the biggest the biggest fallout of of what we've been going through for the last year is mental health is people people don't realize the amount of suicides that are going on yeah, it's destroying this is destroying things. You know, I was talking to her I was praying for on the zoom the other day for a Lady Shin seen her grandkids in the best part of the year. Yeah. And and here's the deal being you're not going to get that year back next couple months. So what do you got that year, we'll put it on the end
Reverend Ben Cooper:and it's not gonna happen. And another thing that goes along with that, which is a given there are people that have died in lockdown that didn't get to see their families that could have seen their families quite easily. But because they was in hospital, I was in hospices. The system said you can't people have died alone. People have died alone. People have died alone through this lockdown whatever way you look it wherever people try and point the finger. People have laid in beds and died alone. That makes me shudder makes me shudder to think that mums and dads Nan's and granddad's children young adults even now laying in hospital with no visitors that are that are going for a massive operations going through been whittled down to the theater room right now not seen anyone petrified all they've got is a gadget to talk to mom and dad on uncle.
Simon Pinchbeck:I don't you know, don't want to get down the rabbit hole because it is a definitely a rabbit hole. But they the statistics clearly tell you that this thing is is not in 990 8% recoverable. So what's going on what's going on? And we're not seeing people falling in the street. Oh, wait, ambulances rushing about all over the place? it I think it's worth thinking about and worth researching and looking at time again your time. Yeah, definitely
Reverend Ben Cooper:stepping back prayerfully looking at everything, looking at everything.
Simon Pinchbeck:But a one big thing is is the mental health. I understand now that in some places that don't have a mental health worker, go with the ambulance or go with it because it's so bad. It's it you don't hear about this. You don't hear about this. But he's happening. You imagine I mean, I'm very fortunate I you know, I've got a garden. Yeah, but if you're in a block of flats or something,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you're restricted,
Simon Pinchbeck:and you got to, you've got kids and you've got it. You got to homeschool your kids.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Good and he can't bear to think what that can be like.
Simon Pinchbeck:We're friends in in Italy and they've hardened they've locked them down again. I would err and yeah And then one fella who's got two young lads and a dog in a flat
Reverend Ben Cooper:well,
Simon Pinchbeck:and he's because every time you see him he's worn is one
Reverend Ben Cooper:Michonne See that? One? You can see it
Simon Pinchbeck:and Italians are so family oriented. Are you them?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah. Gavin ran a little bit of bolo. Nice.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah. Yeah.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah. Food by wine gathering meal time
Simon Pinchbeck:so that no, no, you can't if I don't live, he can't see.
Reverend Ben Cooper:It's really every going. So how, how does this affect me as a Christian as a believer? It wears me down. It challenges my faith. It almost come Rock me. Side buffeted by a boat.
Simon Pinchbeck:Big can but how do
Reverend Ben Cooper:I get through? What is the answer?
Simon Pinchbeck:The answer is so on a belief in Jesus Christ. And and what he says? Because if we don't, we're in trouble. We're in all sorts of trouble and is the thing. If we are walking around with a weight of the world on our shoulders, what witness are we what good lie to the kingdom? We are not Because? Because everyone will say, Well, he's a Christian. He's supposed to have faith. But look at him. He's worse than me. So we're supposed to have the lie of Jesus shown in hours
Reverend Ben Cooper:after that fact,
Simon Pinchbeck:and to get grass. And to get there. I think we'll move on that today. But to get to where that happens, is not easy for a Christian is not easy to get because you've got you've got a world coming in. You've got all sorts of pressure. But it's that belief. Is that belief then,
Reverend Ben Cooper:and I have to say it because it's true. The church, the church and broad brush right across and I know there are some great teachers and leaders out there, but a massive percentage of the church hasn't taught us how to live in the valley of the shadow of death.
Simon Pinchbeck:No, it hasn't. It certainly hasn't.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So when war breaks
Simon Pinchbeck:out, oh, Ben Trudeau is like
Reverend Ben Cooper:it's like having a load of soldiers just sitting and waiting for war and never training them for war. They don't have to clean their boats they don't know what the end of a rifle is just they've got it all there it's just on the floor. It's they've never been shown they've never so if you took a lot of soldiers come on or
Simon Pinchbeck:yourselves that's why I say all the time
Reverend Ben Cooper:you if you wasn't trained in your area of in when you weave in the riots the police just given a shield and a baton like you said they just go out that but when it when it all breaks out, just do what you got to do is carnage.
Simon Pinchbeck:It happened in 1976 1977 in the Notting Hill riots which was part of and we were running around with dustbin lids and little trenches.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, remember the pictures? Yeah, yeah, I remember that. A very classic picture that I've got in my mind of a police officer with an old fashion today I can see that
Simon Pinchbeck:how many of you caught somebody will give him one but but we got right pasting we got a ride based in the brakes and everything coming at you people's legs were being broken because the helmets then we just made a cork. You gain wax all over the place and we made a coke. Yeah, the helmets we made a call out in them dice.
Reverend Ben Cooper:See? This is so typical of the broad, broader church. It hasn't taught its shape. It hasn't taught the congregations the pastors haven't been taught. We got a theological college we listen, we know how long Moses's laces were. We know what what was going on. You know what staff it was what this but we are never taught how to live by faith in the word when all hell breaks loose. So if you've got congregations all over the UK that are just being given motivational stuff that will give you a good feelgood factor for a few minutes. But when war breaks out, if that army has not been trained, how to be watchman to watch to listen well, because what now we go from the physical to the spiritual.
Simon Pinchbeck:Well, if you go to the spiritual benwick org, I gotta tell you that we were up against a very well organized army. That's what we're up against in the
Reverend Ben Cooper:lucifers ages.
Simon Pinchbeck:He cannot be everywhere he's gonna be in two places at the same time. We know that but he has an army of well trained
Reverend Ben Cooper:angels
Simon Pinchbeck:well organized demonic army that's Mike that's going to make your life as difficult as possible is as a bonus unbeliever he's gonna kick you from here to, to wherever if you're not brave enough, not if you're not if you try and is the thing so going back to that police scenario, yeah, they realize that hold on a minute this this friendly London Bobby all of a sudden asked to be trained so we got trained in the use of shields. And then in the use of shields, we just stood there like aunt Sally's and just let him throw the things at the shields. Yeah. which happened at the Broadwater farm. Right. So she ended up with tragically, you know what? Yeah, yeah. Okay. And then they realized we can't go on the offensive. So they had smaller shield units, and they've got the training was in there. And we had short shields and we went in and we kept and, and pretty much we, you know, we just got rid of, but before that, it was every man jack for himself. So let me
Reverend Ben Cooper:take it like this. The enemy was beat in No, totally. Yeah. The police down. Yeah. Because the police wasn't trained when they had it. They looked like, they look like they could do it.
Simon Pinchbeck:They looked like they could do it.
Reverend Ben Cooper:They had money. They had the vans, they had everything. You had the shiny boats. You had the uniform, you had that. But you were still lacking a few things. The shields were lacking.
Simon Pinchbeck:And then when they give them the shields,
Reverend Ben Cooper:what are those? What do you do with it? So there's there's a, there's a massive generation in the church. And snatch call sets the sword? Yeah. Well, how do you use it? I don't know. I've never read it. Yeah, I just know the terminologies. So you say if you take what we're looking at soldiers that have been trained for war, no surrender. They will go in and do what they got to do. And they will highly trained and I see this how as the church should be highly trained in spiritual warfare. Now you got to be careful that we don't go down a road of the name it and claim it. I'm not talking about shouting and hollering I'm talking about knowing who you are a bit when it when you're a watchman. And you know, when, when the signs of the times are changing, and you've got to be steadfast in the Word of God.
Simon Pinchbeck:But this is the thing I'm, you know, we're not unaware of different people, different people's attitude, some people. You see, we've spoken about it before. I see like, like the enemy coming onto a beach and standing there with a few fellows. And yeah, like you say, so when they see the enemy come in, some will run towards the enemy, and join the enemy's side. Exactly. Yeah, some surrender. Yes, some will run for the hills, you know, behind the sofa. And some will just put their head in the sand and go, it'll all go.
Reverend Ben Cooper:disappear.
Simon Pinchbeck:But there'll be a few. Yeah, these are the few we're talking about. Because this is the the army of God coming out of the body of Christ. So these are the few that we're talking about a go, autonomy. Hang on, let's get together. Let's move forward. And let's save these souls from from darkness is pull them into the light. Let's have a go. Let's have a go. And the thing is, the Bible clearly says that the enemy is like a roaring lion. And if you look at a roaring lion, it will always frightened, frightened, it says existed, and it will fray. resisted, it will flee. We did a zoom call the other day with the real man for Christ. And what was happening was it took a different turn and guy started bringing things out into when you bring things out into light, the powerless, the power is gone,
Reverend Ben Cooper:because the darkness has fled. It's displayed and you can talk about it. See, there's power in talking and being open and being real, because all of a sudden,
Simon Pinchbeck:you know, I'm enormous, some from going through situations to one on one kind of sitting there we went. When he said to me, he said to me because I asked obviously leading went down the route really he said, he says song when you started talking, he said, I was up when I was out in the room. I was in nothing. I didn't know, you know, I was the voice was saying, No, do you can't tell him you can't tell him.
Reverend Ben Cooper:But then he told me he told me
Simon Pinchbeck:and all of a sudden it broke it broke. It broke and there was peace done. It was done. So that so so what's really what we're saying you know, tight groups discipling each other me know in your problem, you know, we can we can move through this. And then you know, the biggest deal is going out and advancing the kingdom. Yeah, because we're still commission so we need to go out and we need to, to be able to go for Jesus like we've been saying all the time, when he yes yes we
Reverend Ben Cooper:got to have a go for jesus it's like that it's like young david i'm thinking thinking of the battle line and thinking of the fight that he had that fight wasn't his fire see the church is dressed like soul and david's brothers they look like and they was equipped but they didn't know how to use their weaponry because they looked more at the enemy and they looked how big he was and they listened to his voice and they backed up every day they backed up every day so i see this happening the church is like the israelites in this particular point with king saw it looks like it's dressed it's got all the fineries it's it's making a noise but when it actually sees the enemy it retracts well because it doesn't know and it's looking more at the size of the enemy and realizing what have we got in our hands what have we got we are equipped
Simon Pinchbeck:to things that happen really either they'll just drop back into the world yep and go well we'll just go along to get along you know yeah all the other things happen as far as us as i see it in only involved in a few bits and pieces we've we've churches they go our when boris says we can all come back together we're going we need to be putting dates in the diary so that will we will get back to normal bah bah bah and i'm thinking what are we doing now
Reverend Ben Cooper:what we're doing now
Simon Pinchbeck:what are we doing to encourage
Reverend Ben Cooper:what am i doing now to advance the kingdom to france
Simon Pinchbeck:to encourage the people that are encouraged the
Reverend Ben Cooper:brothers and the sisters now
Simon Pinchbeck:we'll put another zoom call in yeah in the diary
Reverend Ben Cooper:we got a roadmap out of this we got a graph and
Simon Pinchbeck:borescope no
Reverend Ben Cooper:no and word will get me out of every hellhole the word will get me for every situation but i've got to know what i've got to know what the sword is saying i've got to know what the word of god is saying i've got to know what it is but if i don't open it as a man or a woman wherever we are i don't know what the guidance are
Simon Pinchbeck:because if you can read this all day long and it's just information it's just words on a page
Reverend Ben Cooper:but what do i do with it but reading it
Simon Pinchbeck:with the holy spirit it then becomes revelation that's that's the revelation is revelation so so you can say i had a guy said i'm going to you know on this thing the challenges regarding read the bible in in so many weeks
Reverend Ben Cooper:i'm just reading it for reading sake if you're not
Simon Pinchbeck:careful if you're not careful and i said say to me you need to make people aware that you need the spirit to to to reveal stuff to you
Reverend Ben Cooper:that don't get me wrong i've got a lot of people that have daily devotions and read the bible in a year but i read it but do i live it do i believe it there's a difference between reading it
Simon Pinchbeck:and that's the lesser great point as agreed do i believe it and that's where we're coming to really i mean this morning and what we've been talking about is all about what we've been saying and and one scripture jumped out because we're going to talk a little bit about moving your mountain or moving the mountain and and the scripture was from mark 11 and the definitive scriptures mark 1123 but it's all about when jesus passed the free tree he was hungry when he cursed and when they when they went back he said now in the morning they passed by and they sort of feature drying up from the roots and peter remembering said to him rabbi look the fig tree which who curses we were the way of jesus said to them he said have faith in god for assurance i say to you whoever says to this mountain be removed and cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will be done he will he will have whatever he says therefore i say to you whatever things you ask when you pray believe that you receive them and you will have them now many people take that verse and golden up this amount in a manner i forgot to speak to it and that's not good old
Reverend Ben Cooper:angelical pentecostal i'm speaking too much speak to a brick wall dialogue nothing happens because it won't happen because there's no belief
Simon Pinchbeck:and that's if you read what it is yeah you know it just jumps out at you see he says and do not doubt in your heart
Reverend Ben Cooper:and what did jesus say the disciple who mentioned is so many because you can't help reference in it just believe just believe so i can read that the bible i can read the greatest plans i can read it 1000 devotions but if i do not believe Believe it. We have people say I'm reading six chapters a day, but do you believe it? I've just read Genesis. I don't believe in creation. I know pastors that don't believe in creation and on our pastor very close to us around this area that doesn't believe in hell. But he reads a word. And he preaches, and he teaches. So he's in a mainstream denomination. So it's a storybook in the set of storybook.
Simon Pinchbeck:The mountain, the mountain that Jesus is referring to is unbelief. Yeah, it's unbelief. And, and if we don't overcome that, that's going to hinder everything. You know, I was saying to you before in the preamble, you know, I see photos all the time, they're throwing out scriptures, and they're going in this great we can, you know, we're lavishing in the Lord's glory, and
Reverend Ben Cooper:it's just recital.
Simon Pinchbeck:And yet you saw the term people, people go well down brands. And then in the next mount moment is, how can you pray for them are very fearful? Well, where's the belief in what you're reading? Where's the belief in what you're saying? Where's the belief in what you're sharing? There has to be that belief you see on belief. Belief comes from all sorts of things. I answered prayer, you know, if you don't, if you pray sometimes, and and you don't, you say, where's God in this way, all of a sudden, you start questioning God. And that's a dangerous door. Yeah. To open, where
Reverend Ben Cooper:are you? God? What's going on? As soon as the enemy will actually I'm over it. And you're in the clap to the rock. And I told you, not the guy who
Simon Pinchbeck:told you not to go there.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, but I'm there. But I don't want you there. I want you where I want you,
Simon Pinchbeck:God, you need to fit into my plans. And these are my prayers, and you need to answer them. And, of course,
Reverend Ben Cooper:that falls at the door of the leaders of the denomination, the leaders of the denominations across the nation. What are they doing? Where are the spiritual leaders? Where are the voice of the spiritual leaders?
Simon Pinchbeck:It says in you were the voices because it's clearly says in the Bible, that God hates unbelief. He calls it a kink to witchcraft. So what's the gist Kinta, witchcraft, not believing not having five. So we're giving you all we saw,
Reverend Ben Cooper:just leave, like, people go, Well, I don't understand it. You're not meant to understand it. His ways are higher than our ways his thoughts are bigger and deeper and our thoughts, I am just called just to believe, I believe in the basic fundamental truths of being a Christian. I can't grasp Genesis to Revelation. It's not that I don't believe it. But I am not capable in my human capacity at this moment in time to understand everything because when I start to read it, it keeps revealing new truths, new truths, it keeps, it keeps it keeps. Otherwise it would not be the Holy Word, if I knew it, and I knew everything about it, it wouldn't be the Word of God, because His ways are higher than our ways. So a believer will go all the way through their life that just has the belief. I've just got the belief I've just got to believe.
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah. And and if, look, here's the thing, we got it so much, and this just freeze instances in the Bible. Where, where unbelief really kicked in, one must remember. Zachariah, the Zachariah, the husband, of the mother of Elizabeth,
Reverend Ben Cooper:the mother of Yeah.
Simon Pinchbeck:And when you know that God says, You listen was going to have a son. He said, a non believer,
Reverend Ben Cooper:I don't believe and what did they say
Simon Pinchbeck:might be mute. Until he actually said, Lord, I believe and then
Reverend Ben Cooper:he is interested in maybe mute but yet to set a heart condition. God sees the heart.
Simon Pinchbeck:God sees the heart. Look, what about Peter when he was walking on the
Reverend Ben Cooper:water? If it's you call me. Come, come on. Jump, jump, jump. Yeah, yeah, that's jump for Jesus. And I start to walk
Simon Pinchbeck:and all of a sudden the world catches that word.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Hang on. Hang on a minute. I'm on water. Oh, ye of little faith. How many times do we read that in the scripture? Oh, ye of little faith. Why do you doubt this? Just believe what the church doesn't teach. This basic fundamental point is how do I believe it people listening to the sounds of our voices hear that if you get hold of this
Simon Pinchbeck:is gonna change your life?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah, I've got to believe you. Believe it in the flesh, because it's spiritual.
Simon Pinchbeck:Not gonna happen to aiza right. Now Yeah. I'm ready to fight flight. There was an incredible faith is a man after God's own heart. Incredible faith. He had a million man army come against him, Denny. Yeah. And he trusted in the Lord,
Reverend Ben Cooper:that by thinking about he trusted
Simon Pinchbeck:in the Lord, he trusted in the Lord. And that only was defeated. All of a sudden he's I mean, he's he's winning battles. He's trusting the Lord. All of a sudden Israelites come against him a few years down the line. And what's he doing? God had planned a great victory for him. Yeah. What did he do? He went to the Syrians adelia. And Debbie said the Lord, the worst ones on the earth, and pay them off to album and what happened to him? It all wind up they went beat
Reverend Ben Cooper:on Linux where the church has gone. The church has gone to foreign gods and partnered with foreign gods and losing the battle.
Simon Pinchbeck:Well,
Reverend Ben Cooper:well, you partnered with foreign gods. How can the vicar say that I can apart simple. We pray to marry or not me. people pray to marry people lift up St. Patrick's Day more. They do they lift up saints days. Easter is about cross band and a cup of tea in the garden. And
Simon Pinchbeck:yeah, we could go talk about that imagery there for the cross band and putting the tea on your on your forehead.
Reverend Ben Cooper:All sorts of lead time. And many Christians sorry, Simon, how many Christians do you know that go? Islam? What am I going to give up? I don't give up nothing. I don't give up nothing, because I've got to do my heart. But the whole point is, is Why are you giving it up? What is the purpose? If you're not doing it with your heart? Don't do it. Because it's just a ferrosi in a sad you see moment i'm doing i'm sad standing on the street corner just being ringing the bell. So I am seem to be doing it. I believe like pagans Jesus said,
Simon Pinchbeck:let me tell you another thing that that churches do, which they don't realize that they do they opt for the the tax free line that the tax rely on call themselves a charity.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Yeah. Are we on how we can get caught in outline?
Simon Pinchbeck:You call yourself the cherry. So you get tax exemptions. Yeah. But who we are yoking yourself with business, you know, you can become you can be the Church of Satan and be a cherry. Yeah. And so yoking yourself with them is right, you've got to be very careful. Because all of a sudden, you're letting satanic lines come right through the middle of your church,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you've opened in the gut, there's so many gateways that have been opened by the structure and by the establishment of the church, and what they've partnered when in purely because it doesn't know what to do in a crisis, it doesn't know where to go doesn't know who to look to, it literally has been looking to the system of the world.
Simon Pinchbeck:And the system will tell you, then we'll give you tax exemptions will give you this, you sign up to this right,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you partner with us.
Simon Pinchbeck:And then but what does that do that you sell yourself to the man then and all of a sudden that puts a ring for your nose? And when and when the system turns around? and goes. same sex marriages? We don't want to do. But But you're part of the system. Yeah.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So that comes back to the system. You've got to do what you want to do. Yeah, you're gonna do whatever we tell you to do. Yeah. Because it's the church on the boat, the broad brush. And I know there's many people out there that are leaders, a great Bible believing leaders, but we got to look at what we all get tarred with. Man, we are coming to a point in the UK where the spiritual leaders have to rise and stand on the Word of God. We've got heads of denomination that are partnering and laying down with political agendas that have come out of satanic Europe, across the channel. We've had satanic Europe breathing down as four years old, bringing the policies that are coming against Christianity, and the church has had to lay down why because it's partnered.
Simon Pinchbeck:And if you're if you listen to this in the States, then then you'll be aware of the 501 c three tax exemption things which sews you in to to all the other 501 c threes, and that is exactly the same as what we're talking about charitable and and it's always good to do some research to see where your churches, ooh, it's Parliament with EU it's what is involved with even in the community. It's because you start digging a bit deep and you find that this particular church is doing this So that or the other, and as you quite rightly said, that opens the gateway for, if it's the wrong stuff it up as a gateway totally for the wrong thing to come marching through the church with a spirit that is not the Lord. And, you know, and the Crikey we could go we could.
Reverend Ben Cooper:But it's believed the belief and sound. Is that down to the individual? Not really, because the church hasn't taught how to live by the word of God, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, my feet are fitted with what the gospel of peace, the gospel of peace, so why have we got so many I've gone for it. Christian is so fearful, because their feet are not fitted with their feet.
Simon Pinchbeck:They're fearful. There's the it's the enemies, one of the enemy's biggest tool was fear and doubt. Yeah, it's huge. When he says the gospel you, you will have men and women who will read that out daily, but not really. And you're not really getting it
Reverend Ben Cooper:becomes a recital as a recital. It's it becomes just a formula. I've got his daily devotion time I get up at this time I do this to do that. But actually do I believe in what the Word of God says? Yeah, this is the Gospel reading 10 chapters a day are great, you're reading them. But do you believe it? There's a difference between reading it and believe in it?
Simon Pinchbeck:If you just read and it becomes religiosity, doesn't it? It does.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Actually, the church is reading Harry Potter got more wizards and witches in there, then we've ever seen pagan gods and all sorts of things.
Simon Pinchbeck:Because we've got, we've got guys out there who have fearful in all sorts of things.
Reverend Ben Cooper:And that what the leaders are frightened to do. stand against the authorities.
Simon Pinchbeck:They're frightened to stand against the authorities, but also, they're not submitting totally to the will of God. They're not. They're not on their faces. Lord, you know, they get this out of me. You know that the hardest part of five min. is the last half hour? Yes. Yes. Part of it is on staff hours. Yeah. It's it's hanging on? Yeah, yeah. No, it's, it's, you know, the breakthroughs is coming. And you're giving,
Reverend Ben Cooper:and you're giving. And you're giving. And we are
Simon Pinchbeck:today and imagine the Lord saying to you, you're never there.
Reverend Ben Cooper:If you could do that, what is there? Your your four steps away?
Simon Pinchbeck:This was a test. And you were nearly there. But you
Reverend Ben Cooper:came. The Joshua lives I faith. That's where we are. The church. I know we've had great Bible teachers over the years, but there's only been a few that you can count on your hand. So really taught the Word of God.
Simon Pinchbeck:under percent your true it's true, because where are the teachers? They started? Where
Reverend Ben Cooper:are the spiritual teachers of the Word of God, lifting the sword of the Spirit? Were standing on the Word of God,
Simon Pinchbeck:we spoke last time about where's the where's the mentorship? Where's the teaching of a father's? Yeah. Where's the teaching? Richard, this would this would help fathers though this stuff would help. Because what happens? If we're fearful? What happens if we unbelievable? Where do we turn? Where do we turn if we're not turning to the Lord and submitting the Lord and trusting Him, we're going to rely on ourselves, we turn
Reverend Ben Cooper:inwardly turn inwardly to ourselves. And then when I turn inwardly, I hear voices that are not of God. And when I turn inward Lee, it opens a gateway to other things, because I'm looking at me, because me can't do this. But all things are possible to those who believe that we've now got to be careful not to take that text out of context and use it as a good old evangelical preaching and shadow, dancing and putting on the church roller skates. It's about belief. There is something so powerful about believing your body won't believe, no
Simon Pinchbeck:more 1124 Look, therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you will have them Now, that's not praying for wealth and all that sort of stuff.
Reverend Ben Cooper:It's what the church has done. So many false prophets, false teachers, they're, they're using the scriptures that we're talking about, and just trimming them and skimming them and saying, speak to that mountain speak to that mountain of debt. It's going to go in the name of Jesus and as you speak that so me 50 quid it's interesting. Man, the way these these name it and claim preachers and motivational speakers really draw people in. They draw them in. Why do they draw them in? Because I'm not schooled in the Word of God. If I was schooled in the Word of God from solid sound, biblical teaching
Simon Pinchbeck:question everything they said when
Reverend Ben Cooper:it questioned everything, everything I said, but because I've just sit back in a chair like a fag, and have a scratch card, and I want the easy way out,
Simon Pinchbeck:I want I want a shortcut that
Reverend Ben Cooper:TV evangelist said that I can have it all just right. And the Lord is telling me send me 1000 quid the first 100 people that send 1000 quid to this ministry, God's gonna bless you. I know. He's going to bless you and your family is going to your your TV ministry is going to feel your lifestyle.
Simon Pinchbeck:Let me let me let's let's go on to, you know, so so we've got all this against us. Right? So how do we how do we actually remove that mountain of unbelief?
Reverend Ben Cooper:Firstly, add or remove it, get out of the church literally isn't preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Find brothers and sisters that are believing in the Word of God. That that will all you need clear doctrine. Clear doctrine, the scripture says done in the last days, there'll be a falling away from people won't want sound doctrine. I want stuff that's going to each there is that's why comes gratis where they got an edge.
Simon Pinchbeck:That's what's happening. And so what they're looking for more of a fortune teller than what we got, and we have prophets,
Reverend Ben Cooper:springing up all over YouTube profits about false prophets, false prophets,
Simon Pinchbeck:nothing from the Word of God, but everything that you want to hear, they'll tell you. So how do we we
Reverend Ben Cooper:get into position to
Simon Pinchbeck:get into get into a good Bible teaching church, but how can we do this? on ourselves at times, we've spoke about this in lockdown. We spoke about this a couple of weeks ago, Ben, we have to get back to the garden of gifts enemy, don't we? We have added
Reverend Ben Cooper:to the olive grove pressed,
Simon Pinchbeck:we have to get on our faces on our knees or whatever. Your will, your will. Not my will. But your will. And and then when when God sees you doing that, and he knows in your heart, that's what you truly believe.
Reverend Ben Cooper:What David David had a heart after God,
Simon Pinchbeck:David has a heart after God. And so the Lord will go You got it. This is where you've got it totally. And now I'm gonna use you are now I'm gonna use you
Reverend Ben Cooper:look at that guy in the New Testament. He said, he said to Craig come right out with Christ with the lady of the issue of blood in the same dialogue happening there. And he said, I know that you can heal my child. I know Just say the word and I know that my child will be heal, but help me deal with my unbelief. Yeah. So that runs through. Could we say all of us that somehow totally, totally fair to say totally. So how do I do that?
Simon Pinchbeck:You got to get rid of cell phone, you
Reverend Ben Cooper:got to get yourself but I won't get rid of self because a lot of preachers and climate and climate are telling me that Me, myself and I will make it. So I've got to find a biblical teacher that is telling me that I've got to bring everything to Christ. I've got to ask for repentance that where it starts the garden, I've got to bring it to God. We've got to bring bring it to God and say, Father, forgive me for I've sinned and fallen short of your glory. Help me deal with the root deal with the temptations take everything from me. That is that is stopping me from having biblical truths.
Simon Pinchbeck:searched me every corner search may
Reverend Ben Cooper:keep me on the pot as well
Simon Pinchbeck:and put me in the garden and that prayer. Not my will. But your will be done is Yeah. So my prayer because, you know, we're submitted totally to God and paid submission. And what does john say? He said, he says, He says, perfect love casts out fear. And when you get to that stage, you'll feel the loving arms of the Father around you. You'll feel Yeah, because the father Jesus got to that stage. Not my will, but your will be done. And then father, put his arms around you and you'll feel that total love. And when you got a total love,
Reverend Ben Cooper:he changed everything changed. It change everything. That's not fair. Because it's true. Fair, is the truth is truth. So we need truth. You should have a truth and the truth will set you free. What is the truth the world god yeah the word of god are gonna get in the word of god i can't get no more time to get in the ministries no more tired of getting into my meeting climate stuff i've got to get in the word of god and the word isn't furloughed wise it's been open and 1000s of years
Simon Pinchbeck:if we get if you get into the red stuff the red stuff will lead you to the father and then that's that's where you'll feel that perfect love and you won't have that there'll be no fear because you'll be able to confront things head on side on however where you want to come from but you'll know that the you you're you're firmly based in the love of you've got a love of of the law and you're submitting totally in every situation and you're not falling back on yourself and thinking i could do this
Reverend Ben Cooper:i can do that can do that
Simon Pinchbeck:its launch your will be done in this situation and when you're in constant communication with the with the father through his son jesus christ lord jesus was then you'll you'll you'll know you'll know which is the right way to go everything in your life your life before the lord it'll direct your paths it will direct your path
Reverend Ben Cooper:that yes it yeah he says what before me and be blameless to obey him and what we got is the structure and the establishment the church is just bogged down with documentation policies risk assessments pastors desks roll wash because we haven't got we haven't with paperwork and the word of god is up on a shelf and
Simon Pinchbeck:because we haven't got
Reverend Ben Cooper:because i'm filled
Simon Pinchbeck:church leaders ben we've gone out to the world we've got ceos we've got chief executive officers
Reverend Ben Cooper:yeah
Simon Pinchbeck:we're running a business and they run a
Reverend Ben Cooper:great business and you wake up the spiritual
Simon Pinchbeck:and you've got vicars who choose it as a job rather than a vocation that's there and so where are they talking from it's just empty words it's not there's not no power in the words is not power in to change your life you know we submit to the lord submit to in certainly not my will but your will be done that's faith filled words and then if you're praying that words a believer in it then you will obey you will obey and then you'll see the miraculous and then you'll see stuff fall away and then you'll see your walk will be easy because jesus said my yoke is easy my burden is light and nothing that comes out you will a surprise you or be you won't be able to deal with it because you're submitting totally against a lot and with submission that comes the not the understanding but the belief that such a difference between belief and understanding so when i believe the word
Reverend Ben Cooper:that is that is that is in the supernatural realm i understand it understanding is of the natural world
Simon Pinchbeck:man jesus has done everything for you he's done it all for you it chaos all this amazing teaching he died for you and your sins whoever's watching this who was listened to is in the sound of our washes he died for you and your sins but he rose again to save you and then the legend to the father
Reverend Ben Cooper:so that you said something there were easterner died and rose again yeah but what percentage of the actual church actually believed that that happened there are so much so much stuff within the church not even believing that that that actually happened there are so much in the church that don't even believe in creation they believe in darwin well then so your
Simon Pinchbeck:man your salvation so what we've got is a broad if you're even we got a sweet
Reverend Ben Cooper:shot the teaching yeah that will just make me fat
Simon Pinchbeck:oh what do what do you want to die all of
Reverend Ben Cooper:that that fits with that today yeah i've got to believe in the word of god we need sound doctrine and it says i think it's in to peter chapter two and forgive me if i got it wrong somewhere around about there it talks very clearly about that there will be a falling away and people want want sound doctrine not wanting you can see this now you can see that they want it they want it why because it's really talking to me oh it's it's challenging me and i want to be challenged i only fluffed up
Simon Pinchbeck:i've got a mate who said to me the other day he said you know one of the scariest things someone can ask them But ask you is Who are you? He said, because that scares the life out of me because I don't know exactly why. But if you know who you are, if you if you enter the Word of God, if you've got that relationship with Jesus Christ was you keep banging on about
Reverend Ben Cooper:pressing,
Simon Pinchbeck:pressing, and you know, you are impressed, you know who you are, you know that you will pray against stuff. Yeah. And you're not praying. They're not empty words. You're not praying yourself, you're praying with a narrow Jesus.
Reverend Ben Cooper:So the simple question is, is, as we bring us to a finish, who am I, I'm, I'm over a son, or a daughter, I'm a disciple of the living God. I've been chosen before the very beginning of time, and blood washed and sanctified. So when you we take these basic biblical principles and, and teachings of Jesus, once I get the core, and then suddenly I see all the false prophets, I can see the crazy stuff that goes on. And so suddenly, I'm not laid with the mainstream teaching. I'm in sound doctrine, and I know who I am.
Simon Pinchbeck:We'll finish with this been really because we're bringing it
Reverend Ben Cooper:to a close. Yeah, we've got to land it. When
Simon Pinchbeck:the FBI and they're counterfeit, counterfeit currency department to study counterfeit currency, they study the real currency, so that they know when they look at a counterfeit, that it's counterfeit, because they know the real stuff. So they're looking at truth, they're looking at truth. If you're looking at truth, all day long,
Reverend Ben Cooper:you'll see the false you'll see the profit, you'll see the false teacher, you want to make your smile on go, I know the truth.
Simon Pinchbeck:I know what you are, know where you come on now. I can see for the king's new super close, I know you're naked. Yeah. And I haven't got unbelief. I've got faith. I've got pure faith. And because because of the love of Jesus, yeah, me.
Reverend Ben Cooper:The love of Jesus in me the Word of God, the Word or greater is He that is me that he that is in a world. There we go. You landed, we're in Barbados. In the town of flower square town of flowers. Simon, we thank you so much for just real life conversation, chatting around the mics as we always do. May God bless you, wherever you are on planet earth today, may God strengthen you. And this is so critical for me. Me first is that I've got a good in sound doctrine of Jesus Christ, I got to get in the word out. I've got to be in the Word of God. And I pray that God will just reveal his word to you. Thanks be to God for all those that do all that mess, read in another chapter after chapter. But do you really believe it?
Simon Pinchbeck:Yeah, and we just want to pray for anyone today that you pray, if it's in a situation, that they are fearful that there is a lack of belief at times and we just want to pray. Heavenly Father, you'd lead these lead anyone who's who's living a life of fear would lead them to a situation where they would just fall on their, on the floor and just say, I'm at the end of myself, I cannot do this. Not my will but your will your will be done in my life. And we just pray that they are really wanted I that there is if there is a spirit of fear, we pray we say is spirit of fear leave now and Jesus cross and, and there'll be total belief in that person. So Baba, wrap your loving arms around, listen to this and, and strengthen them and and lead them to where you want to go. And put them on the right path. To follow the right word and to follow your son Jesus Christ and you'll lead them to you in Jesus name. Amen.
Reverend Ben Cooper:Amen. Amen. Thank you so much for listening. Wherever you are around the world, my god bless you and strengthen you keeping the Word of God thank you for following us on YouTube today. And whenever you catch this podcast, my god bless you. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen. Amen.
