Reverend Ben Cooper:

Good afternoon, the rustle of paper, the noise of builders above our heads. You are joining Steve and myself as we are just in this little recording room, this little studio as you gather around wherever you may be, and whenever you listen back to this podcast, we got a great title today, we got our brother Steve with us and we really feel God is leading us into a deeper understanding a deeper biblical press. And today's title of the podcast is what is biblical redemption. I love the word redemption that has been sitting in my heart and my spirit for a number of weeks and it just makes me smile, because we are redeemed. Steve, good afternoon. Good afternoon, everyone. We're in, we're ready to rumble.

Steve:

Okay, this is going to go at least over two weeks. Some of what I will share today shouldn't be that controversial, but some of what I will share the following week. It it won't sit well with some people

Reverend Ben Cooper:

are mad, but that's the way it is okay. We're challenged on every level, because that's what the Scripture does. So,

Steve:

biblical redemption, which is okay. It's an act on the part of God, or his own freewill. And not under compulsion, to purchase from bondage, slavery to sin, and from a curse which condemns to irredeemable deaths of people for His own possession. Whoa, that is in the Old Testament. Yes, so in the new and we're gonna read a few scriptures, and we're kind of have a look. So Exodus six, six, and seven, says, say, therefore to the sons of Israel is is God talking to Moses, saying, therefore to the sons of Israel, I am the Lord, I will bring you out from under the burden of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage, I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments, then I will thank you for my people, and I will be your God. And you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. Just as an aside when you whenever you see things like outstretched arm, or the right hand of God, yeah, that's

Reverend Ben Cooper:

speaking of Christ. At right, okay, we got you.

Steve:

The next one is Ephesians and one and seven to 14. In Him, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us in all wisdom inside. He is known to us the mysteries will, according to his kind intention which He purposed in him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times. That is the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens, and things upon the earth. In Him. Also, we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose, who works all things after the counsel of his will. To the end, we were the first to hope in Christ should be to the praise of his glory. In Him, you also after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, having also believed you were sealed in him with the Holy Spirit of price, who has given us a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of his glory. Wow.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Amen for redemption,

Steve:

and Galatians, three and 13. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us for that you've written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. And then finally, in this section, one Peter and chapter two, yeah, and verse nine. It says, when we get there, when we turn over, but you are chosen Rice, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, of people for God's own position, that you might proclaim the excellences of him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous Like,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

wow, thank you, Jesus. Alright,

Steve:

so we also have to understand what you're going through later. But the Redemption extends to the creation itself. Yes, it's not just about us. In actual fact, the redemption when we, when we start digging into it, we sing how Christ Himself is glorified above all things through this redemption the, in the classical Greek I think it was two Saturdays or something like that I can't remember exactly right, was talking about slaves, and they were redeemed and it follows the same thing, that when you're in bondage, you can set yourself free for a slave caught himself free.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

So it's an outside source. It's, it's coming from the outside. So that is very clear in Scripture is an is Christ that redeems us. So there is no power within a human being. For that human being to redeem itself. No. So can we rise to the price is too high? It's impossible. So we know that salvation is the gift so that comes to us as well. Redemption come, it comes to us.

Steve:

Without without redemption, salvation can't

Reverend Ben Cooper:

happen yet. So redemption is first, we are redeemed. But as soon as we are redeemed, then that's when salvation comes into us. So, yeah, so it goes hand in hand, isn't it? Oh, as soon as you are redeemed, you're saved.

Steve:

Yeah. And along with that, which we'll cover in a later date, you get justification. You're redeemed, saved, justified. It happens all in one go. But there is an order is great, isn't it? It's just an order. So redemption.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Being separate. It's that simple, isn't it? It's not complicated, but it's free and it's release. You by

Steve:

default. It's also that's that's what you've just said there your boss, your boss. Freedom is not a freedom to do as we jolly well, please. So we are owned. Alright, we are out your man was never created to be totally autonomous. He was always going to be under God. Yeah. When Adam was given dominion over the earth, he was given commands. Yes. All right. Go forth and multiply sub Junior. Yeah, all right. You can only be commanded by someone who's greater than you. So

Reverend Ben Cooper:

always man has been. So whether we're can I use it like this? Under the hand of Lucifer under the hand of God, but always been under the hand of God. It's so how would How would you present that?

Steve:

I would say, I under the hand of God, for freedom are under the hand of God in condemnation. I'll touch on the devil. Yes. Okay. But all of redemption. Yeah. Curse. Yes. Everything. Yeah. This is God at work. Alright, yeah, not the devil. It's not the devil at work. No, he comes into very comes into play at various points. Yeah, but redemption, and the payment of redemption, truthfully has nothing to do with him. And again, it's something that towards you and I will touch upon.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

That's really encouraging. It has nothing to do with Lucifer. No. But it has it has everything to do with God. Yes. All these attributes, the loving God justifies find God, the God that plans the God that sets free to God who brings this, this this this order, you are going to be free but to be free. It is only me that can free you.

Steve:

Yes. It can't remember the exact placing Romans. It's in the earlier part Romans where it says God consigned all men under judgment, you know, yes, there is none. Yeah, you know, Jew or Greek there. There isn't anybody that is not consigned. Under sin we understand.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

We're all citizens, all humanity called

Steve:

culture sins. We are all under condemnation.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

That hurts a lot of people don't it when you say we are all sinners, you can't come eat. Now. We've had this conversation before but the Scripture what the Scripture says, the Scripture says, And the Scripture is justified, it is given and that is done, isn't it? Yes. But through redemption come salvation comes freedom. So what we're talking about of all these, this word redeemed, Lucifer is not on the page is this this is really bring in fruit. This will bring freedom to a lot of people because the curse and everything is about and from WHO? God God. Yes. You can't

Steve:

get away from that. No, he is the one who said to Adam, do this and thus Yeah, but if you do this, you will die. You will die. When he disobeyed and died yet God also says to him, because of you and because of yours. Have you ground is cursed? Yeah. Because of because Yeah. So it's, we see there. Yeah, the creation itself

Reverend Ben Cooper:

has been as put been put under a curse, a curse from day one from the big. Well, from everywhere that wherever it was for the beginning of that garden experience. So it wasn't God, it was humanity that broke the curse because the humans decided to go against his word. But straight away redemption is in the race justice. So from the very beginning.

Steve:

Yeah, I mean, we must never see redemption as Plan B. No. Redemption is always planned. I.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

So that has always been Yes. Before anything,

Steve:

yes. I mean, we know from the fact that the Lamb who was slain before the foundation of the world is one aspect you said

Reverend Ben Cooper:

saying before the foundation of the world? Yes. So before the foundation before the structure before God said let there be light there already was redemption. Yes. This is this is so freeing, isn't it? Because the white is always been put on the human being to be, you know, free religion and all that sort of stuff. But God already had a plan before the world was even put into. Yeah, that was his whole formation. That was the plan. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.

Steve:

But week six, it is a main lesson. But so it's got that demands the price. Okay. God demands the price. Yes. He says, For you to be free from the curse of sin. Amen. And from you to be free from the consequences of sin, which is death? Yeah, I need a life.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yes. I need a life. I need a life. I can't. This can't have

Steve:

because of our judgment and undermine justice. Yeah. You're staying condemned? Yes. And you are going to go to hell. Yeah. The only way that it will change for you is if someone stands in your place, and gives his life for your life, one sacrifice, one sacrifice. And the reason Christ was able to do that is because he was perfect in all these ways. Yeah. So the perfection of one is greater than the imperfection of

Reverend Ben Cooper:

all of all. Yeah.

Steve:

And so it's this. If we look at all the righteous sacrifices in the Old Testament, they are shadows foreshadowing cry for runners. Yeah. Therefore shattering Christ's death on the court. Yeah, yeah. Right. The sacrifices were given to God to watch. Yeah, we're given a god. We see then the devil does come into play, when he starts taking the people off, to follow off to false gods. Okay. And no, then get into false sacrifices. Yeah. Okay. So this whole area of idolatry that we see in the Old Testament, is, it's a very, very powerful situation, that we have to understand the Old God. And we also have to know that you knew what the devil was going to do exactly. But all the sacrifices that he put in place, were righteous, right to sacrifices, then the devil comes along and implements false sacrifices right to false gods. And the whole thing is to get people away away from understanding what is going on in God's kingdom and what God is planning to do.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Right.

Steve:

So it's got the price the price, so it's got the demands price, it's got the pays the price, yep. He doesn't go to anybody else. No, he says, that's the price I require. Therefore, I will pay that price. Very good in the Godhead in the God the Father God, the Son of God, the Holy Spirit. Yeah. Before the foundation of the world, the lamb has slain as as a lamb as a lamb that was slain. Yeah. So that this whole idea that God putting us under a curse, he knows what he's going to do to redeem his from that curse. And he knows what it's gonna cost him, him him no one else no one else is in yet. And it's very difficult for us to understand in any way what it cost Christ to step out of his place within the Godhead, yeah, to enter into the likeness of man become true man and true God. Stuff On the cursors, yeah, give his life on the cross, take the burden of sin, take the punishment for that sin and then allow His righteousness to be imputed to all those who believe in trust in Him. So that the whole process is off guard,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

from beginning to end beginning to end. Yeah, and no interruption.

Steve:

No, there is no boasting before. And the thing is that you can't add to that cross. And you cannot take away from from that cross. And it was one sec sacrifice, a single sacrifice. He's not sacrificed every week, as we know it, the Roman Catholics, as we cannot be one of the reasons why Paul talks about good works, you can't good works are not going to save you. There's nothing you can do. Very refreshing, there is nothing you can do. Good Works come after so much prior to that prior to, you know, good works come out of a change nature.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Again, this is this, this will give and this is giving comfort. To know that is not by works. It is not by deeds, it is not by the movement of my lips, because it is already predestined. It's already been pre planned and it's all about God and for God, before the very beginning of creation. Yes. So that that should put a smile on our heart. Yes. Because all pressure is taken away from humanity because humanity can't do it anyway. You know, so we should find peace in redemption. Should should do, should do. But religion and church, like you said, the Catholicism puts pressure on a performance related or an addition, though in addition, an add on there's,

Steve:

there's always an add on. There's always a bow on. It's never the sovereignty of God, the sovereign moves of God and never enough. No, man always wants to put these two pencil man ones must have used to

Reverend Ben Cooper:

God's gonna do what I say. And it's about me as well. Yeah. So. So redemption is a massive word. And within redemption, everything else is folded in that freedom, peace, calmness, eternity, you've been bought with a price. God redeemed us God redeemed God brought us back from the curse that he laid on us that he laid on us,

Steve:

basically. So he ended up paying the price for the curse he laid on us.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

That's going to take a lot for a lot. There's taken a lot for my mind to just absorb that. But that is the enormity of God. And some things will never be grasped.

Steve:

Basically, if you want to put it like this. God rescued us

Reverend Ben Cooper:

from God. Yes. Okay. That's what my mind was about to do or rescue us from

Steve:

God. The judgment of God to judgment of God. That's the question. This is where the love of God comes in. Yeah, along with the justice and the judgment and the holiness yet, the love of God is such that whilst he demands a price, yep, he is willing to pay the price. And he supplied the price. He supplied the price.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Again, I've got a reference again that I don't want to but Lucifer is nowhere in the arena of this. We have not been snatched out of the hands of Lucifer, we have been snatched out of the wrath of God. Yes. That's what it basically exactly right. Exactly. So the devil is this little puppet just on the edge? Well, you know what? Yeah, he's got no influence on us as in salvation, redemption. Nothing can snatch us, we are redeemed. And that's it. redemption and salvation has nothing to do with Adele. He's his mighty he's like, his is a way.

Steve:

I mean, it keeps poking his finger in because he wants to get part and parcel of it. He wants to try some sort of reflected glory. But in essence, because this was all done, yeah. Before the foundation of the world. Yeah, we must also consider that this was done long before God created the angels now we don't know the type of timeline of when he created angels. But there you know, before the foundation of the world have not checked the original language but it could well be that the foundation is the world's I don't know, but before the foundation of God's setting, I mean, if we go back to the 60s Why the six days of areas before the foundation of any of that Yeah, before you know before he said let there be light. Yeah, okay. Yeah. Lamp Lam was flying. Yeah.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Before light become before stars will put us before humanity was created before this bowl of the Before the universe was even in existence, the lamb was already slain. Yeah. Now that just pops your, your muscle of your brain to think that that has happened before time is beyond

Steve:

isn't it is what God is beyond. And so he's the one for mysteries of God that we Yes. So a cleric said that I believe

Reverend Ben Cooper:

that. So that's why. So that's why God says quite a crisis a few times just believe could you're not going to understand it No, just believe it Yes. And there is peace in believing isn't there could when you unpack it that we're unpacking it. And you start to try and work this out that God, the Lamb that was slain in the Book of Revelations 13. It says that what we're just Steve is quoting from before creation before angels before, before universe before anything oxygen atoms, the lot. This redemption had been put in process, yes. Then the answer the gate of how long before? How long? You can't wait to the end? I mean, that you can't get you won't get to the end of that.

Steve:

I mean, with regards to the area of belief, some people are able to just say, Yeah, I believe that it's okay. But one of the reasons you've got six teachers in there is because there are some people like me that I'm teaching

Reverend Ben Cooper:

effective, just believe

Steve:

I'm always looking below the surface I need to know.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

So you're always unfolding the scripture, and going a little bit deeper. And then God reveals that it's

Steve:

never comfortable until such time as I believe I've hit that rock

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yeah, you wouldn't have not exhausted it. But you've you've reached a place of hit the rock. Bang. Can't go further.

Steve:

Once I've hit the rock. I can say, okay, that's not me being obtuse or rebellious. No, it's just the way God has created me. And then nothing because he's created you. Yeah. And I need I need to search out I need to that fulfillment of Yeah, yeah. Because I'd see the other thing is one of the reasons why you have to do that. Talking about the enemy, he will always come along with yesterday's arguments. Yes,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

we say that done. We hit him with Christ. Yeah, putting the word to the word. Yes. So and so what else I can draw from what Steve is saying. If I just, if I just go, Well, I just believe, what am I actually believing in?

Steve:

Yeah, I mean, you'll find in actual fact, in many respects, you'll find it's I'm just believing in Jesus. Okay. You're just believing in Jesus. But what Jesus are you believing in? Yeah. What is your understanding of the Bible? Yeah. You have to have, as I said, before, face is not blind. Now, right? He said that I stole the Word of God. And you have to know what the word of God is talks about

Reverend Ben Cooper:

being a good steward, doesn't it? Yes. Of study of time, it doesn't

Steve:

mean that you need to know all these answers before you come to a place of salvation. But when you're brought to that place of salvation, you're brought down at the time when God

Reverend Ben Cooper:

chooses. Yes, right. Yeah. So you don't have to understand

Steve:

it not. And there are no blueprints. No, of how to be saved. I like that. Nothing. If we look from two extremes. Okay. We'll see the safe on the cross. Yep. Okay.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

last moment, second, right. The last one?

Steve:

Oh, yes. Lived, saved. Okay.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

And lived the life up until that point, right up to that point. unbelievable things probably. Yes. Crucified. Breathing is lasts. Yep. Salvation. Yeah.

Steve:

And then we go all the way down to someone what, Paul that you were taught Hi, yah, yah. Saved. Yes, a murderer. A minor. I was a murderer. I mean, if we if we follow what Jesus said, Yes. You hate your brother, you have committed murder already? Yes. Right. So Paul's a murderer in his heart in his heart, right without the physical action, because he says he was breathing. And he was already going out on the breathing out motors throat. And so last night, he's Breathing in breathing out murderous threats. So Paul was in the eyes of God a murderer.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yeah. But

Steve:

phenomenal. And he said, You are my chosen instrument.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

That's so fascinating that you are my chosen instrument. We've had really long chats and good conversation on that timeline that God decides to call you. Whatever went before is irrelevant. It is

Steve:

it because you also have posters or things in your I mean, if one with regards to Paul when he was writing, he was who wrote the rubber letters of Paul. Well, Paul wrote, correct. But holy spirit, Robin, correct. So

Reverend Ben Cooper:

this is the mystery. This is the mystery,

Steve:

right? And Paul wrote these letters Not out of having them dictated to him. No. But learning his life, learning through his life. Yeah. The wonder of God. Learning through his life, the forgiveness, learning through his life, what it meant for all things are now new, the oldest passed away. Yeah. Now I'm sure that there were times when Paul really struggled with it and felt tremendously guilty. Definitely. And, you know, considering what he did and where he was, he had to come to I mean, that was that where we're not sure about what it is that Paul was talking about. But we know that he says that a song was put in his flesh, a messenger from Satan to buffet him. And he said Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it. And he said, No, My grace is sufficient. And we we really don't know what Paul's talking about there. There have been lots of speculation, speculation, but we really don't know I'm a messenger of Satan tense, you tend to think that this is words of condemnation? Yeah. Right. Your past. Yeah, bringing up your past and constantly bringing over and over AI. And in Paul learns to rest in the grace of God. So it so that's, that's my observation, I

Reverend Ben Cooper:

might take that observation as well.

Steve:

And so we see this, coming back to this aspect of redemption. I just want to read this thing out of Peter, because this I felt find this extremely powerful. It seems one Peter three and 18, For Christ also died for sins, once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, and in order that he might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but might alive in the Spirit, and it's that righteous for the unrighteous. Yeah. Or in other ones. Excuse me, is it just for the unjust? Yep. And what I was saying earlier, the blood of one righteous man is greater than the blood of all unrighteous, all unrighteous.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

So

Steve:

who are the redeemed? I want to go into this more? Next time? Yeah. But basically, the redeemed are those who have believed in Him. They have believed in Christ for their salvation. Yeah,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

for me believed. There has to be a work from him first, doesn't that? Yeah, because there's this massive concept that I am holding the shots to our choose Jesus. That's not the case is no God

Steve:

calls his own. In John, Jesus is very clear. My sheep know my voice, and I call my sheep by name. And no one comes to the Father except through the Son. And no one comes to the Son of the Father draw him, there is this work of the Godhead? God the Father drawing by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is very much the whole aspect. This is why I said redemption is in God's hands.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

So could I could I would it be wrong for me to say is that no one can resist him, no one has the power. It is quite a silly thing that I've actually said. They're really when I think about it. God calls. So if someone is that not a strong atheist, you cannot resist. We think that we can say I would never be I would never be a church. I would never be a believer. When that time when you you come to an understanding that God is real. You can't resist him. Can you? Okay,

Steve:

you're going into the area now. What the Quran is called irresistible grace.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Okay. Yeah, irresistible grace.

Steve:

I've got my own understanding on that. But to some degree, I agree with what you're saying, Once God has put his choice on a person. Yeah, that choice reminds again, we see with Paul, this is absolutely clear with Paul. This man is chosen. Yeah. We sit with Jeremiah. We sit with the prophets. We sit when Jesus says to His disciples, You think you've chosen me but I have chosen you. I love it. The whole aspects of this choice. People don't like it and I'm not talking about people in the world. They couldn't give types. Now it's the people in the church. Yes. They must have their free will. Okay, if you want to be it, believe me free will carry on. I know what I believe and why I believe it. Yeah, yeah. And as such, that's how I view things and I teach things. My own understanding of it is there if people wish to disagree, carry on. Yeah, right. Gross version again.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

The good exposure that was it.

Steve:

Whether you are a Calvinist or whether you are an Armenian be a Christian first. It True. And if you want to hold on to your freewill and you want to do that, then okay, then nine times out of 10 people that believe that also believe that they can lose their salvation. True. All right. Mostly, yeah, that in itself tells you something about the big it took. If I can monkey around with the salvation of God, then I can lose it. Yes. However, the big man who believes in the single work of God in salvation, if he has done the work, and he's done that working me, he will maintain that work as he says in the world. He who has begun a good work in me will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Yeah. So I don't have to worry about losing my salvation. Now, what I have to worry about? Is does my life honor him? So does my life. Yeah, give him glory? Yeah, do the things that I say. And believe

Reverend Ben Cooper:

my actions now I'm a believer. Yes. Yeah.

Steve:

My salvation is secure. Paul talks about this, which we read earlier on, we have this sealing of the Holy Spirit. The sale Yeah, until such time as we know, the redemption of our body, because that's another aspect of redemption. Redemption just isn't for now. But there's a time of the resurrection. Our bodies are redeemed. Yeah, so it's a completed work. And again, if we look at that, I, the way I view it is this, that there, there are three areas within the work of God, salvation, sanctification, glorification, I cannot save myself with regards to my sanctification. Again, that is God's work within me. But I have responsibility of how I live Yes. So that at the end of time, my work will be judged. And it will be tested as like fire. As Paul says in Second Corinthians, okay, man will be saved but his work will be burned up.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Excellent. So the work will will go the efforts of the physical is is just gone. But salvation cannot be tampered with. Cannot be messed about when you can't earn it. You can't work it you can't increase it. You can't secure it any more because it has been done.

Steve:

We could we can it the ultimate area of sanctification also can't be affected. But the life in which we live in Christ. Yeah. Whether or not we attain to the rewards

Reverend Ben Cooper:

are there Yeah, it that's that's different. That's yeah. But then we come

Steve:

to glorification. Man cannot glorify himself. He can't. He can't save himself. He can't glorify himself. What is he? Thinking? Mine tiny salvage? Yeah. But think this is my understanding. If people want to believe different, that's entirely up. But I want to move on to this area of the redemption of the creation. Okay. Okay. When Adam was given dominion over the earth, we don't know how much of creation was then placed was going to be placed under him. Okay. We know that from the beginning. He was placed in the garden. Yeah. We know that. He was to subdue the earth. Yeah, we understand this. Was he supposed to become an astronaut? To do? Yeah, other orbs which God had carved into the sky? I don't know. These are things that we don't know. Yeah, it's a mystery. It's pointless to try and work out. Right. But what we do know is the Adam's fall brought about the curse upon the whole of creation. Okay, so Adam lost his dominion. One of the favorite teachings of prosperity teaches is that the Dominion now passed to the devil. Yes, okay. Is the devil that now reigns. If we follow that particular teaching, to redeem the domination, yeah, the Adam head or the Dominion, Adam head. Yeah. As we've already said, a price had to be paid. Okay. If we follow the teaching, that the devil now has dominion, the price has to be paid to him

Reverend Ben Cooper:

to him Yeah. When actually he's not in redemption is got nothing To do he's gonna have to do

Steve:

because he's got laid down the curse. Yes, it's got that's consigned all to judgment. Yeah. Everyone is a child rather than to lay on hand. And it is God does it. And God that releases the prisoners.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

So again, this devil is out in the arena

Steve:

right now. I mean we know instinctively intuitively in certain areas of theology or areas of the Bible sorry that most of what prosperity teaches teaches a lot of garbage. But this area of Dominion,

Reverend Ben Cooper:

take back what the devil stolen. Yeah, how many times we heard that one.

Steve:

This flies in the face of God. Yes. This spits in the face. Of course it does. All right. Yeah. Because God is still in Dominion, is what I said man has never been autonomous now. Okay. He say he, first of all, he was under the command of God yet. Okay. Then he fell. Yeah. And God still reigns in the kingdoms of men still there. Now what? God's still raising the Kings, he is still in control. Okay, then we are redeemed. We are not redeemed to an autonomous life. We are redeemed. Now to a new place where redeem redeemed to a place where Adam never was. Wow. All right, yeah. The Redemption of the Creation puts the kingship back to Christ. Yes. All right. He has purchased. Yes. The the creation back to himself. Now he the second item rains, and he cannot fail as the first item did. No. All right. So he is now the king of all he is the King of kings. And the Lord of lords praise car right. Now I know we might see that in his Godhead. But it's important we say in his manhood. Yeah, the King of Kings, Lord and Lord of lords. As God, he has the right to do what he wants, how he wants, what he became man, he laid down that right. Subjected himself to serving God as a man he humbled himself himself, okay. And by the life that he lived by the death that He died for his irregardless of what he did for mankind regarding Hey, guy, he was given the right to be King of the universe. Yeah. As man.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

So this uh, raises what the prosperity preachers say yes, about take back what the devil is stolen, he just removes everything is. So he's the God that redeems humanity. He's the God that redeems the earth he is in charge. The devil is just on the on the on the sideline, there is no influence. Yes, he might influence us and might try and draw us to live outside but we are redeemed nothing can snatch us out of the hands of God.

Steve:

But no one could and this is the other point that no, no one can redeem the creation except God set God right now we know that at the present moment, this outworking of God's plan. It says in in one of Paul's letters we do not yet see Him as Lord of all Yeah, but one day we shall we shall and that redemption of the creation is being outworked now. We see in received that the the creation is being not to die. Yeah, yeah. Okay. In we come back to of last month I've lost the plot usos but I've lost it Romans I wanted to read

Reverend Ben Cooper:

okay stays finding that but come come to my mind. Am I thinking as we as we're sitting here, statements about the planet, that that false religion that's being pushed out there, save the planet, that humanity can save the planet? We can't, we can't save the planet is impossible year we understand about recycling. But this is what Steve's talking about redemption, the earth the earth was cursed. God will redeem God will restore. humanity cannot save the planet.

Steve:

There we go. It's Romans like, an 18 through two, yeah, wherever anyway, For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God, for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but because of Him who subjected it in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Wow. All right. So this aspect Yeah, we see the atrophy in the world. The desert is still at work yet. Then we come to the millennium of the 1000 year reign of Christ. If we look at the ROS of God, which we read about in Revelation, and what God does to the earth, it's cataclysmic. It's, I can't remember which in the Old Testament prophets, but it says about how the world really is like a drunkard. Wow, all right. The, the mountains will be put out a place, the islands will be put up, like when God's wrath hits this earth. It's got to shake it. Okay. Now, we have this point where Christ comes back. Yeah. And he brings a form of redemption to the Arab world, right. And we begin to live in 1000 year reign. Okay. Yeah. But still, the full redemption has occurred. Yeah. We find the full redemption. When the old creation, the old heaven in the old apartheid away, and we come into the new creation. That's where we see the completion of the redemption.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Got it? Yeah. The completion. Yeah. So it's,

Steve:

it's much the same as us waiting for the completion of everything and waiting for the body. So the creation is also waiting for his new body.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yes, yes. So it's twofold. Yes, the physical for the human being redemption and for the earth creation. Yes. So this nonton have saved the planet is far beyond it's an it's a one world order one world press completely. I mean, it is. That is clearly the another aspect of what the enemy is doing, you know, God will redeem your humanity, and God will redeem the Earth. There's one thing

Steve:

I should have brought out earlier. And one of the reasons why we have to understand that Christ paid the price to God the Father, yeah. That he didn't pay it to the devil is because if he had done so, he would have been worshipping the devil. Now, if he wouldn't worship the devil journeys, temptation, why on earth would he worship the devil by handing over his blood? Yes. If he goes into heaven gone. He shows Himself before. Yeah. So this idea that the devil is in control. Certainly, whoever's in control has the right. For the price of redemption. Yeah, there's no two ways about that. But the payment of that is an act of worship.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Or, Yes, it is. An Act is an act of worship, because worship

Steve:

is obedience. Right. It's more than singing songs marching. Yeah. Worship is an act of obedience. Christ worship God the Father. He refused to worship Sunday, when he walked on the earth, right God, he certainly would not worship Satan by handing over the price of redemption to him. Yeah, so this is, this is where all this rubbish.

Reverend Ben Cooper:

Yeah, it's got no foundation at all. It's just hot air. Yes, exactly. Exactly. It's just hot air. Steve 45 minutes is gone. It's gone. Absolutely gone. The builders are itching up on the roof. You can hear the noises coming from where's my tea? You know, thank you so much, David. Just absolutely glorious. Absolutely brilliant. You know, we will be back next week. So please share this stuff out. Wherever you are listening to Steve. He's taken us through just a tiny, tiny press into redemption. But thank you so much. They've captured all very, very soon. God bless you. God bless. Bye bye.
