thank you for joining us today, wherever you are. May the lord bless you as we gather for this daily prayer podcast with myself, reverend ben cooper, recorded live here in london, england, for our quick five minute commuter push across the world. Wherever you are, let's bring encouragement to our lives. Let's bring peace to our neighbors. Let's ask God that he will take us to a place of freedom. Do you need rest today? Do you need rest for your life? Are you agitated? Are you finding that your sleep is getting worse? Are you finding you're almost sleeping with one eye open and you're just telling yourself that you're sleeping? I want to declare the word of God over you today. I want to speak Psalm 4, verse 8, and this is what it says in the peace I will lie down and sleep for you, for you alone, the Lord, make me dwell in safety. You are not alone. You know God will give you rest. I pray that as you stand up, as you breathe, as you walk, that you will find rest in the name of Jesus, wherever you are today. Please, brothers and sisters, do not allow the complicated way of life or the complexities of life. Do not allow the worries and the fears. You know you've got to rest in the word of God. You've got to rest in God. It's like that great disciple that leaned into the bosom of Jesus round the Passover table. We've got to lean into Jesus. I'm telling you now, sister and brother, from the bottom of my heart we've got to lean into the word of God. Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for the brothers and sisters around the world and we ask you, god, that every one of us, us here in the studio, lord, those that are listening, wherever we we are, that we will lean into Jesus because, lord, we're tired. Lord, we are tired. As a world, as a nation, we are tired. Lord, we are exhausted. Lord, we're at the end of the tarmac. Father, we need you because our bodies are weary, our hands are tired. Lord, our eyes are sleepy. Lord, we need you. Our brain is exhausted, our thinking is overloaded. Lord, we are weary of worrying about money, of life, relationships. Lord, we need rest today and, lord, we declare rest, we declare the presence of God over our lives. We, father, we ask you now that we will feel the power of the Holy Spirit in our body. Today, we will feel the word of God, today, that we will find, lord. The tiredness, the weariness, the exhaustion, the doubt, lord, the tears, the mental health issues, all that anxiety will lift. We thank you that there is a lift today and we have rest and renewal in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Speaker 0:I thank you, lord, for the psalmist, I thank you for the power of the word of God, I thank you for the writer of Psalms, I thank you for David. I thank you for the prayers of David, lord. I thank you that Psalm 4, verse 8, says In peace, I will lie down and sleep, lord. I pray for the listeners that they will lay down and they will find peace in sleep, lord, that they are not alone, lord, that they are not alone, that the spirit of the Lord is with them. I pray that their sleep will be sweet. I pray that they will find rest. I pray that they will find, lord, that anxious thoughts are gone. That when they wake up in the morning, they will feel peace in their lives. When their eyes open, lord, when their body starts to be alert of the morning hour, lord, I pray that every time they close their eyes and then they open their eyes, they will feel the covering of God. I pray that they will feel the covering of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I pray, lord, that we declare God's protection and his rest and his safety over our lives. I pray, lord, for those weary spirits. I pray for God's protection and his rest and his safety over our lives. I pray, lord, for those weary spirits. I pray for God's calming over our lives right now. I pray that sleep will be sweet.
Speaker 0:In the name of Jesus, I ask you, father, for peaceful sleep, renewal of the spirit, safety in Christ, calm in worry, covering at night when we close our eyes, wherever we sleep. I pray, lord, lord, I ask you that we will have the covering of the Holy Spirit, lord, that we will find that our place of rest is peaceful freedom from fear, rest in God's presence, healing of weariness, strength for tomorrow, god, we need strength for today, strength for tomorrow, lord. Our daily prayer is Lord, give us our daily bread. Give us this daily bread today, lord. We need sustenance, lord, we need the word, we need feeding, lord, we need watering. We need the river of life over our lives. And, lord, we're going to make this an application today, lord, and we speak this word over our lives. And, father, we thank you for the power of God.
Speaker 0:And right now, lord, we declare Psalm 4, verse 8, at night, in peace, I will lie down and sleep because God keeps me safe.
Speaker 0:God is keeping you safe, sister and brother. God is with you wherever you are. The spirit of the living God is over your life and we pray together, we stand together, that god will give us rest when we sleep. You know, if you shut your eyes for 10 minutes, 15 minutes, three hours, whatever it may be, I pray that the lord, when our eyes open, that we will find that we are refreshed and we are restored. I pray that the sleep that we get will recharge the batteries in our innermost being, that the God that we serve will bring peace in the place that we rest.
Speaker 0:So, Father, we thank you that wherever we rest, there are angels on each corner of our lives, that our sleep will be sweet and the fire of God and the anointing of God is over our lives. Come, holy Spirit, stir us today, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, may the glory of God be over you wherever you are. Sister and brother, you're born again, spirit filled, and I pray that the peace of God will carry you and when you wake up, you will find that you have had the best sleep, that you feel that you've woken up with the glory of God in your life, and you will never fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies that day. But God will restore all the years that the locusts have taken. May God bless you today. Thank you for joining us. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper, and may the Lord keep you and bless you until tomorrow.
