thank you for joining me today on a daily christian prayer podcast recorded live here in london with myself, reverend ben cooper. This is our five minute time of prayer to bring encouragement, peace and biblical truth into everyday life situation. Wherever you are across this world, shout the name of jesus, whatever your time is. You know, shout the name of jesus. The glory of god is with you. Can we ask you a couple of quick things? If you can read the show notes, I find it's really, really critical. If we read these show notes we pick up the 10 prayer points. I know we're on a busy, quick, fired five minute time of prayer and you might not have time. You're running to the coffee machine, you're on the school run, you're jumping up and down in the car, whatever is going on. Wherever you are, whether you're at your desk, whether you're at home, whether you're sitting in the bath, you know the Lord is with you right now. The spirit of the living God is with you. Let's jump straight in. You know the prayer for knowing God personally. Come on, let's get in. You know, listeners, come on, let's pray together, let's stand together.
Speaker 0:We're in the Gospels, we're in the New Testament, we're in the greatest book of the world. We're in James. We're in James, chapter 4, verse 8. And this is what it says Come near to God and he will come near to you. Father, lord, I want to get to know you more. Lord, I believe that every listener, every ear that is listening to my voice, will want to know Jesus more. So, lord, we want to find you and God. How do we find you? How do we seek Lord? How do we find this invisible God that sits in an approachable light, that sits outside of time, that sits outside of eternity but also sits in our heart? Lord, god, in the name of Jesus, you are faster than light. You create light. Lord, you are quicker than the speed of sound. You are sound, you are the atoms, you are the air, the oxygen that we breathe. You are Jehovah Jireh, jehovah Nissi. You are omnipresent, you are omnipotent, you are the king above all kings and Lord, we want to know this great God, we want to know you more, lord. So, father, through the book of James, 4, verse 8, lord, we want to come near to God. How do I get near to you? How do I get near to this invisible God?
Speaker 0:I believe it's through the word of God. So, lord, I thank you for the word of God. So, lord, I thank you for the word of God. Lord, as we come to Jesus through the word, as we get to Jesus through the word, as we pray the word, as we walk in the word, as we read the word, as we sing the word, as we sing the Psalms, as we shout the name of Jesus, we get closer to the God of Israel. And Lord, we want to walk in a great relationship. We want to walk strong. We want to walk in a great relationship. We want to walk strong, we want to walk in power and Lord. We come to you today, lord, and we thank you that he will come near to us, the spirit of the living God, as we call on the greatest name in heaven and earth.
Speaker 0:I want to get closer, we want to get closer with God. We want to feel your presence, lord. We do not want to delay this anymore, lord, we need our daily bread, we need strength, we need, need power, we need a deeper relationship with christ. We want, lord, to immerse ourself in the intimacy of god. We want to walk in spiritual growth. We want daily devotional time with you, god. We want to grow in our faith, lord, we want the world to know that we are followers of jesus christ. We want the world to know that we are born again, spirit filled, blessed and highly favored, and we walk in the scripture today. So, Lord, we thank you for this powerful Bible verse on prayer. We search you, we seek you for the intimacy of God and Lord. We want to hear the Father's heartbeat. We want to walk in the power. We want to walk in the gifts of the Spirit. We want to have the fruit of the Spirit. But right now we pray for breakthrough. Breakthrough on every level, through the book of James, chapter 4, verse 8. Lord, I thank you for the closeness of God is with us. I thank you for a deeper relationship with Jesus. We are growing spiritually. Lord, father, you are our daily bread and Lord, we need daily renewal in prayer and worship Spirit of the living God. I pray that faith will strengthen us today, that our faith will rise and we will rise on wings as of eagles.
Speaker 0:We are hungry for the word of God. Lord, we are hungry. Lord, we are hungry and we are thirsty. Lord, we are looking, we are seeking, we are longing for more of the word of God. Father, give us the time, open our eyes. We want to feel the Word. Walk in the Word.
Speaker 0:Father, I pray that the Word of God will come alive in our scripture, that we will feel the fire of the Holy Spirit because we are hungry for the Word. Lord, there is joy in your presence. Lord, there is worship. Today, our hearts are worshiping Lord. Fill our lives with the goodness, with the glory, with favor. Lord, we want intimacy with Christ. We want those quiet, personal moments with Jesus Christ. We want to walk according to the word. We want to walk in favor. We want to walk in anointing, we want to walk in the power, the glory, the mercy. Father, we want to get to you right now and, lord, I ask you, lord, that the Spirit of God will lead us, that the Holy Spirit will lead us and today, lord, help us to make this scripture a life application. I draw near to God and he draws me. I draw near to God and he draws me.
Speaker 0:Lord, I pray for the listeners today, that we will draw near to God through reading the word, listening to the psalm, singing and worshipping the power of the name of Jesus, and as we draw near to God, he draws near to us.
