Welcome And Purpose

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself Reverend Ben Cooper recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, love, and strength. Whatever your time zone is, whatever your day has reflected, whatever your life is reflecting right now. Let's pray for peace. Let's pray at this hour. Whatever you are doing, I pray that you will find the gentle rhythm of scripture. It is the word of God. Sisters and brothers, it is the word of God. You can get an app, you can listen to scripture, you can open up the Bible, a paperback version, and you can just have a read and have a peruse. But I know the pressures of life. We don't even have time to get the Bible off the shelf, put it on the table, you know, open it up in bed and read it. Before you know it, we are absolutely snoring. I know exactly what goes on because we all do that. So let's listen to the word of God as we drive into work, as we commute, you know, maybe put some earbuds in and just do about life as you live life in the gym and the rhythm of life. Listen, listen, sorry, to the word of God. Listen to the scripture. Open up an app, get into the book of I would say Psalms. Get into the book of Psalms and listen to that. But without further ado, we're gonna pray. Because it is late here, live in London, England. It is 11 pm, and I don't want to be rambling. I know you've had a marvelous and heavy day, whatever has gone on, because we all have it in this studio. All of us are against the wall with certain things in our lives, but that is just life. It's okay, Jesus. Fill my tomorrow with hope. I can trust in you. Jesus, fill our tomorrow with hope, so I can trust in you. Holy Spirit, at this hour, Father, Jesus, the Savior of the world, from here, London to America, from America, Brazil, South Africa and India, and right the way around the world, Lord, I'm praying for the gentle rhythm of the Holy Spirit. I pray, dear God, that we will keep going, that we will understand what it means to endure, to keep pressing in, to never ever give up. The endurance race that we are in, the race of life. Father, the race of life. Come, Holy Spirit. I thank you, Lord, that you tell us that you'll never leave us nor forsake us. That you're with us to the very end of this age, that we are not orphans, that we are not made an orphan. We might not have an earthly family. We might not have an earthly mother or father. We might not have no family, but we are not orphans. We are grafted into the vine, and we have our Father, our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name. I thank you that you are our Father. I thank you that you are our Holy Spirit. I thank you that you are our Jesus, that you are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And Lord, whatever the hour is, from the battlefields of the day, Lord, as we've come in the house, Lord, as we're still at work, maybe still, dear God, on a commute, Lord God, doing a night shift wherever we are, whatever is going on at this moment, Lord, under the sound of my voice, Father, from the battlefield to the Passover table. I pray, Lord God, whatever journey we're on, whatever rhythm we are walking now, I pray that the love of Jesus will just bring that gentleness to our hearts. The Spirit of the Lord is over you. The love of Jesus Christ is in your life. You are anchored in the love of God. You are anchored in the holy word of God. You are grafted in to Scripture. God has not let you go. You might not, I might not have an earthly mother or an earthly father. We might be completely on our own with no family, no bloodline left. But let me tell you this: nothing can separate you from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. So, Father, I pray for those that just feel abandoned. I thank you, dear God, that they are not abandoned, that they are grafted in. So, Lord, give them hope tonight. Let the promises of God just wrap them up today. Wherever you are, let the love and the power of the Holy Spirit just let the rhythm of heaven nurture you and lead you. Don't ever give up. Jesus Christ is with you. May the Spirit of the Lord lead you from the battlefields to the field of life. God is with you. God bless. I will catch you at the next prayer. Don't go too far.
