Psalm 23:1 — Jesus, Shepherd My Heart and Settle My Night Live from London, England • Brazil • India • South Africa • United States Portuguese Index Line: Jesus, acalma o meu coração esta noite India Discoverability Line: Jesus, give my heart peace in this quiet hour Psalm 23:1 (NIV) “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” John 10:11 (NIV) “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” In these quiet midnight moments, Jesus, You come close as the Shepherd who knows every detail of the human heart. You see the concerns that sit just below the surface, the worry that tries to rise as the world grows still, and the thoughts that pull the mind toward restlessness. You speak calm into these moments, reminding us that we lack nothing because You are present, steady, and attentive. Let this truth settle the night: You shepherd my heart, You guide my steps, You hold my future, and nothing escapes Your care. As this new day begins in silence, bring reassurance to anyone who feels unanchored. Steady the emotions that tilt toward worry. Replace fear with Your nearness. Whisper peace to those who lie awake wondering what tomorrow may bring. Let Your presence rest on every home, every room, every place where someone is quietly searching for comfort. Bring the deep assurance that they are not alone — not tonight, not ever. Lead the heart beside still waters within the mind. Let Your gentleness lift away the weight of the day. Shepherd every listener toward a calm and rested spirit. Where there has been noise, bring quiet strength. Where there has been uncertainty, bring steadiness. Help each person breathe deeply and know that You are close, guiding, protecting, and watching over every detail of life with faithful love. Jesus, as the midnight hours unfold across the world — in Brazil, India, South Africa, the United States, Europe, and beyond — let Your peace settle over many nations. Let the comfort of Psalm 23 become a living promise. Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, love, and strength. If you've got a prayer request, please email us to the studio, which is info at dailyprayer.uk. Thank you to everybody that is supporting this ministry wherever you are across this world at this moment in time. Come on, let's get down and we're gonna pray. We're gonna pray out of the book of Psalms 23, verse 1. Jesus, shepherd my heart and settle my life. Come on, wherever you are, let's get in. Father, in the name of Jesus, we come to you right now. We believe in miracles, Lord. So as we come before you at this 12 a.m. hour, Lord, whatever our life has been like today, whoever we are, whatever the rhythm of this life is, Father, we pray that the Spirit of the Lord will carry us. Father, we thank you for your love and your mercy, your saving grace that's over our lives. But Lord, at this moment, quiet in this midnight hour, Jesus, come to those, dear God. Be that shepherd. Lord, draw us in. Lord, I pray, Father, that we will just lean into Christ, that we will lean into the word of God from the battlefields of life, whatever today has been, whatever our lives reflect. Lord, we pray, Lord, that the Holy Spirit will just lead us. Lord, hold my future, Lord, hold our steps. Help us right now. Lord, as the day has come to a close, Father, keep us anchored into the Word of God. Keep us anchored into the presence of Jesus Christ. Lord, I pray that you will take us beside quiet waters. Lord, that you will just bring calm to our heart and our mind at this hour. Lord, shepherd our lives. Lord, through this devotional time together, we pray as we lock in, Lord, wherever we are across the world. Holy Spirit, Jesus, give my heart peace and quiet in this hour. Holy Spirit, bring peace to my life. Lord, we know that you are the good shepherd, that you are the way, the truth, and the life. And Father, wherever we are, live from London, England, all the way to Brazil, India, South Africa, the United States, Jesus, calm our hearts. Lift us right now. Lord, we know that Jesus is our shepherd, that he is our guide, that he is our strength. Lord, I want you to shepherd our heart. Lord, I want you to settle me tonight. Lord, I want you to settle my thoughts. I want you to settle my mind. And wherever we are gathering for these quick fired moments, Lord, I pray, as the sun has set on our day, as the sun is going to rise on our day, as a new day may begin in wherever and however we listen to my voice, whatever time zone, from the battlefield to the Passover table. Spirit of the living God, Jesus, be that shepherd that we need. Jesus, be that hope that we will require. Jesus, be that place where we can go to. Father, do not leave us alone. Holy Spirit, I thank you that we are grafted into the vine. Dear God, I pray, Lord, for those that are going through emotional turmoil at this moment in time, that they will feel the love of Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit. Lord, we need the closeness of God. You are the Lion of Judah. You are the great I am, Spirit of the living God. We want to feel your favor. We want to feel your mercy, your love, your saving grace. And wherever we are across this world, Holy Spirit, bring peace at this hour. I want to tell you that Psalm 23, verse 1, is for every one of you right now. The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing. Father, we thank you that we lack nothing. But in all things, will you give us strength right now? John 10, verse 11 is for every one of us. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. Father, we thank you that your life was given so that we would have life and have that in abundance. So Lord, wherever we are, from the battlefield to the field of life, bring peace, we pray, in the greatest name in heaven and earth. May the Spirit of the Lord be with you. Don't go too far. I will catch you in two.
