Psalm 91:7 — Jesus, Keep Me Steady When the World Feels Too Loud Live from London, England with Reverend Ben Cooper • Recife, Brazil • Chennai, India • Atlanta, USA • Maputo, Mozambique proteção de Deus • oração da tarde • Jesus acalma minha alma • segurança e paz Psalm 91:7 (NIV): “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.” John 16:33 (NIV): “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus, as evening approaches and the noise of the day begins to settle, I rest in the assurance of Psalm 91:7. Across Brazil, India, the USA, Africa, and here in the UK, many face pressures that rise toward the close of the day. Yet Your promise remains steady and unchanging: whatever happens around me cannot remove the covering You place over my life. Senhor Jesus, traga calma ao meu coração enquanto sigo neste caminho. Your presence brings strength that does not shake when circumstances shift. John 16:33 reminds me again that even in a world filled with uncertainty, Your peace remains. You have already overcome everything that overwhelms my heart. As evening draws closer, let this truth rest deeply within me. When thoughts try to rush in or emotions begin to tighten, breathe Your calm across my mind. Strengthen me to continue with confidence, knowing You stand beside me with gentle authority and unfailing love. Jesus, steady my steps now. Guard my emotions. Quiet every fear. Let this hour become a time of renewed confidence as I lean into Your protection. Teach me to recognise Your hand guiding my path, even when the day has been long. Fill my heart with gratitude, assurance, and a peaceful awareness that I am never alone. Obrigado, Jesus, por esta paz que sustenta a minha alma. Let Your victory fill my evening with hope, clarity, and rest. Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, recorded live here in London, England, where the world gathers for five minutes of faith, hope, love, and strength. If you've got that prayer request, please email us to the studio, which is info at dailyprayer.uk. Whatever the rhythm, whatever the drive is, however you are, if you're on the drive home, if you're on the drive to work, if you're on the school run or you're on the way home from school, whatever you are doing, you know, God is with you. God sees your tears, He sees your pain. God loves each and every one of us. He is with every one of us right now. And we have angels surrounding our lives, and the power of God is with you. Don't ever, ever give up. However you feel, don't live by emotions, live by the power of God. How do we do that, Rev? How do I live by the power of God? Very quickly, get your Bible, very quickly get your Bible and open up to Psalm 91, verse 7. Open up and read Psalm 91 all the way through. We're praying through this today. The Spirit of the Lord is leading us to Psalm 91. And I want to tell you get your Bible down. Take it to school, take it to work, take it on the commute, open it up on the train, open it up on the bus, open it up at your desk, wherever you are. Get in the Word of God. Psalm 91 is a great protective psalm over your life. Come on, let's pray. And the title of this prayer is Jesus, keep me steady when the world feels too loud. Holy Spirit, the world is loud. Lord, the world is loud. Father, we got bears making a noise. We got lions growling at us. Father, we got panic rising. We got doubt rising. We got fears trembling in the skin that we walk in. But Father, as we walk down the corridor of life, as we walk, dear God, in the plains of this life. Father, as we're walking in the wilderness, as we're walking in the battlefield, as we're walking down the valley of the shadow of death, Father, the corridor of life. Father, we pray that you'll keep the doors closed on the corridor. Lord, we don't want the bear, dear God, opening one door. We don't want the lion coming out the other door. We don't want the rattlesnakes in our lives, dear God, opening another door. Father, we want these doors closed. And Lord, we want to focus on Jesus Christ. Lord, you tell us through the beautiful book of Hebrews, chapter 12, keep your eyes on Jesus, the author, the perfecter of your faith. The Lord is calling you. He's calling you to the word of God. He's calling you to prayer. He's saying, Rise up, rise up, sister, rise up, brother. Do not allow religion to hold you. Do not allow culture to hold you back. Do not allow the rhythm of church. Do not allow your workspace. Do not allow education. Do not allow the lack of money to hold you back. Believe. Come on, the world is loud. And if we listen to the loudness of the world, we won't want to get out of bed. If we listen to the loudness of culture, we won't get out of bed. If we listen to the loudness of the world and situations and family, we won't want to get out of bed. But we got to get out and we got to rise in the name of Jesus Christ. And Psalm 91, verse 7 is for you right now. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. Let me remind you, it will not come near you. The Spirit of the Lord is over your life. The glory, the power, Father, from the battlefields to the Passover table. Lord, to the battles of life. Father, we pray for those that just have got fatigue over their lives, tired and weary and exhausted. Lord, we believe in miracles. Father, as the psalmist writes through the prayers of David, Psalm 91, verse 7, it says, A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. God is with you. Don't ever give up. The love of God, the power of God, the Holy Spirit, Father, in the closing of this prayer, as we pedal out of this prayer, Lord, we need the fire over our lives. Lord, as we walk down a corridor of life, however, life looks through our eyes. I pray that you will strengthen us, you will carry us, and the love of God will supercharge us. Lord, we want to hear the line of Judah. Lord, we want to capture the rhythm of God. Lord, we want to see healing. Lord, we want to feel these bones rising. Lord, we believe in miracles. We believe in the power of God. We believe in the love of Jesus Christ. Lord, we thank you for your love is steadfast. We thank you that your word is eternal and draw us to the cross of Calvary. Father, we thank you that we are not churchgoers, that we are born again. We are Bible-believing believers. Come on, Jesus. Wherever you are across the world, God is with you. The Spirit of the Lord is over your life. Do not ever give up. Jesus Christ loved you. I will catch you soon. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. God bless. I will see you soon. Don't go too far.
