Even when things feel uncertain, I remain steady because You are near. You are my refuge. When pressure rises, I do not retreat—I stand firm in the strength that You give. When fear whispers, I answer with truth: You are with me wherever I go. So I walk forward with confidence. Not in my own strength, but in Yours. Welcome And Settle Into Prayer

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of your day. Come on, let's lock

Joshua 1 9 And Today’s Focus

SPEAKER_00

straight in. We're jumping straight in to that beautiful book of Joshua, chapter 1, verse 9. This is the title of the prayer. Jesus, make me strong and courageous as I walk forward today.

Asking God For Strength And Courage

SPEAKER_00

Holy God, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi. Lord, we thank you that the curtains, dear God, are drawn back on this morning. And Lord, through this morning prayer, we're praying for strength, we're praying for courage. For whatever we face today, we believe that the hand of God is hailing us. Lord, we believe, Lord God, that you are our refuge, our strength, our fortress. And Lord, you are a very present help in trouble. According to the great book, the great psalmist, Psalm 46, verse 1, God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble. Father, whatever valleys, whatever battles, whatever mountains we climb. Father, at this early prayer, Lord, I pray for strength today. Strength in the bones, strength in the mind, strength in the skin that we walk in. Father, whatever challenges, whatever life, dear God, puts in our pathway, we believe that the Holy Spirit is leading us. We believe that the word of God is covering us. We believe that we are grafted into the vine and nothing can separate us from the love of God. But right now, through this morning prayer, Lord, as the sun has risen, as the rain falls, wherever we are at this morning hour, Lord, we're praying for strength, we're praying for courage.

Switching Fear For Faith

SPEAKER_00

And Lord, as we move forward without fear, Lord, we are switching fear for faith. We are turning this around in the name of Jesus. We are going in hope. We are going in power. We are going, dear God, in strength. We're going in anointing. And wherever we are, Lord, as we stretch out, we lock in prayer today, and we are praying for one another. Lord, I thank you that fear is gone. Confidence in God is with us. Lord, this morning prayer, Lord, we're praying that you will strengthen every one of us under the sound of my voice, that the Spirit of the Lord will carry us through the turmoils, through the mountain experiences, Lord, through the valleys of life.

Put Down Social Media Open Scripture

SPEAKER_00

Lord, from the battlefield to the boardroom. Father, Lord, I pray that we won't lock onto social media. Lord, that we will listen to the word of God. Lord, that we'll open up the word. We'll open up the Bible and through reading the word of God and through the power of prayer, we'll find strength. We'll find courage to move forward without fear. Lord, we thank you that fear is gone. We thank you that the battle belongs to the Lord.

Hear Joshua 1 9 Spoken

SPEAKER_00

And Lord, as we lean into the great book of Joshua, chapter 1, verse 9, this scripture is for you. Wherever you are across this morning hour, have I not commanded you, be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord thy God is with you wherever you go. Father, whatever battle, whatever trial, whatever we face as individuals and as the body of Christ, Lord, we stand strong. And Lord, right away from London to Chicago, all the way to Madrid, Barcelona, Chile, all the way to Amsterdam, Lord, we pray as you lock us in, Lord. I ask you, dear God, that we won't be afraid, that we won't be scared. Lord, that we will walk in faith today. Lord, from the battlefield to the boardroom, to the coffee run, to the field of life, to the van to the scaffold. Dear God, I pray, Lord, that we will close the laptop on this moment, Lord, and we will just look at Jesus Christ. Lord, that we will close our eyes and say, Father, will you strengthen us? Holy Spirit, will you lead us? Today, give us strength through this devotional prayer time this morning. God, we want to be encouraged by the fire of God. Lord, we want to, dear God, switch fear for faith today, Lord. Father, we thank you that we got confidence in the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Father, I ask in you, Lord Jesus, make us strong and courageous as we walk forward today in faith.
