Evening Prayer — Releasing Every Burden and Trusting God With What I Cannot Carry Psalm 37:5 — Jesus, I Commit This Day to You and Trust You With Everything Live from London, England São Paulo • Phoenix • Nairobi • Manila • Seville evening prayer • release stress prayer • let go of worry • trust God timing • end of day prayer Psalm 37:5 (NIV): “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.” Secondary Scripture — Matthew 11:28 (NIV): “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Jesus, as this day begins to settle, I gently release everything I have carried. I do not hold on to what has weighed me down—I place it into Your hands. I do not carry this forward. Every responsibility, every pressure, every unfinished moment—I release it now. I do not try to resolve what is not mine to hold. I trust You. You see what I cannot see. You understand what I cannot fully grasp. You are already at work beyond what I can manage. So I come to You. You invite me to rest, not because everything is complete, but because You are present. You hold what I cannot carry. You steady what I cannot control. Cristo, entrego este día en Tus manos y descanso en Tu cuidado. Senhor, entrego este dia nas Tuas mãos e descanso no Teu cuidado From São Paulo to Phoenix, from Nairobi to Seville, across every place coming to the close of this day, You are present. You are receiving. You are bringing rest to Your people. So I release fully. I become still. I rest in Your care. In Your name, I am at peace. Welcome to daily devotional prayer time. With myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. We're going to lock across the globe. We're in the evening prayer and we are praying out of the great book of Psalms, the Prayers of David, and this is Psalm 37, verse 5. This is the title, Jesus. I commit this day to you and trust you with everything. Father, help us to carry the stuff that we cannot carry. Lord, we are carrying stuff that we shouldn't be carrying. And Lord, we got to get rid of this baggage. So, Lord, right now, I commit this day to you. Everything in my life, everything in my spirit, everything in my mind, everything on the laptop of life, everything in the four seasons of life, everything, dear God, from the fuel pump to the battlefield of life. Father, I commit and I bring everything of this day to you. And Father, I don't want to carry the worries of the world anymore. Lord, I pray right now that I will focus on Jesus Christ and I will commit my ways to the Lord. I will trust in him and Lord, you will show me how to do this. But right now, I pray, dear God, for every listener, for everyone that is under my voice, that you will bless them, press down, running over, shaken together. Lord, this evening prayer, Lord, as we lean in, as we pray in right now, Lord, I pray that you will remove the battle fatigue. Lord, that we will let go of worry. We will trust in God's timing. Lord, I've got to trust in your ways. Your ways are higher than my ways. Your thoughts are beyond my thoughts. Your rhythm is beyond my rhythm. Lord, from the battles to the trials, to the washing machine, to the fridge, to the hoover, to the scaffold, to the car, to the rhythm, to the laptop of life. Father, help us to close this laptop. Help us to turn the key on the office, on the business right now. Help us, dear God, through this evening prayer, devotional time, Lord, that we will wind down. Lord, that our mind will wind down. And Lord, that we will release everything to you. Lord, that we will find that safety, that we will find that presence. Lord, we commit our ways to the Lord. And so often, Lord, it is so difficult to do this. Lord, I pray it. My lips are saying it. My mind is hearing it. My ears are hearing it. My heart, dear God, knows it. But Lord, I'm still finding it difficult to release every burden and to trust in you. Help me, dear God, with the weight of life. Help us with what we carry. Lord, as we stretch out from London right across this world, Lord, whatever color, whatever tribe, whatever fabric of this skin is, whatever we see, however we measure life, however we look at life, Father, whatever season we are in right now, Father, from the winter of life to the summer of life, to the spring of life, to the autumn of life, whatever rhythm we are on, Father, as we sail across the ocean of life, Father, Lord, I pray that we will put the sow up. Lord, that we'll put the sow up of hope, Lord, and we will catch the wind, dear God, of greatness, that we will catch that wind of the Holy Spirit, Lord, and you will carry us across the ocean of life. Father, from the four corners of this world, from London all the way to Mexico, from Mexico to Spain, all the way to Portugal, all the way to Israel, all the way to Barcelona. Lord, we're looking for the love of God. Father, as we sail across the sea of life, Father, I pray that the Holy Spirit will capture our sow and you will carry us through every storm, every trial, every fabric of life, that we will look to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Lord, I'm asking you through this evening prayer that we will find a place, Lord, to leave our stress. Lord, that we will let go of worry, that we will trust in God's timing. Lord, as we are on the ocean of life, Father, I pray as the storms brew, Lord, as the stillness, Lord, comes across the ocean of life. But Father, we know that storms brew extremely quick. And right now I pray that you will give us strength, that we will find this endurance, that we will look to Jesus Christ, the author, the perfecter of our faith. Wherever you are right now, let's try, let's put everything we got into Jesus Christ. May God bless you. I will catch you at the next prayer. Never give up.
