Night Prayer — Jesus, In the Stillness I Trust You Even When I Do Not See Psalm 46:10 — Jesus, I Become Still and Trust That You Are God Over Everything Live from London, England São Paulo • Toronto • Nairobi • Manila • Lisbon night prayer for peace • trusting God in uncertainty • be still and know God • anxiety and overthinking at night • rest in God Psalm 46:10 (NIV): “He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’” Isaiah 30:15 (NIV): “This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: ‘In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength…’” Jesus, in this quiet moment, I come into stillness before You. I do not strive to understand everything—I choose to trust You. You are God. Even when I do not see what is happening, even when I do not feel movement, You are still working. You are still present. You are still in control. So I become still. I release the need to figure everything out. I step away from the noise of my thoughts, and I rest in the truth that You are over all things. In quietness, I find strength. In trust, I find peace. Jesus, help me to remain steady when I cannot see the outcome. Help me to trust You in the unseen places, where faith is formed and strengthened. I do not rush—I remain with You. Jesús, en el silencio confío en Ti, sabiendo que Tú estás en control. Jesus, no silêncio confio em Ti, sabendo que Tu estás no controlo. From São Paulo to Toronto, from Nairobi to Lisbon, across every place entering into this moment of stillness, You are present. You are near. You are working in ways that are not always seen. So I rest quietly. I trust fully. I remain in You. In Your name, Jesus, I am still and I trust. Welcome And Invitation To Pray

SPEAKER_00

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, shall we pray? Come on, let's jump straight in. It is early doors. It is the night prayer. Come on. This is the title. We're coming out of the book of uh Psalms 46, verse 10. Jesus, I become still and trust that you are God over everything. Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, at this night prayer, we've come before the throne of grace. And Lord, we thank you for the power of the name of Jesus Christ. And Lord, we ask you, Father, that you will carry us and lift us, Lord, in the beautiful name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Lord, I pray right now for the listeners on the other side of my voice that you will bless them, pressed down, running over, shaken together, that they will feel your love and your grace. But Jesus, in the stillness, I trust you. Lord, in the tiredness, I trust you. And Lord, I thank you that prayer is so simple and easy. Lord, I haven't got to be in church. Lord, all I've got to do is have a conversation with you, Lord. All I've got to do, Lord, is just sit on the bed, lay on the sofa, dear God, sit in the chair, drive in the car, whatever the situation may be. Lord, I thank you that the power of prayer is beautiful and prayer changes me. Prayer changes situations. Prayer, dear God, I thank you for the power of prayer. And right now, Lord, through this night prayer, Jesus, in the stillness, I trust in you, even when I do not see you. Father, but I thank you for your presence for the power of the word of God. And as we stretch out, Lord, this night prayer for peace, we are trusting in God right now. Lord, we need to be still and know that you are God. Lord, will you take away anxiety? Lord, the overthinking at night, this night prayer, Lord, these early days, these early days, Father, we just come before you, Lord, and we say, Thank you, Holy Spirit, that the love of God and the beauty of Jesus is over our lives. And Lord, we pray through Psalms 46, verse 10. He says, Be still and know that I am God. Holy God, that you are. You just say, Be still and know that I'm God. But right now, Lord, through these night prayers, through these moments, Lord, we lock into the word. And Lord, as we stretch out across the world, Father, we thank you all the way from London to France, from France, all the way to Brazil, from Brazil, all the way, dear God, to Angola, all the way, dear God to Afghanistan, all the way to Israel and America. Lord, we are praying, Lord, wherever we are across this world that your love and your grace, your favor will just descend on each and every one of us. Jesus, I become still and trust that you are God over everything. Father, there's wars, rumors of wars, nation rising against nation. Lord, we are listening to so much political razzmataz, Lord. We don't know what to believe, we don't know what to listen to. But Lord, I pray for anyone that is worrying about their lives that you will lift the worry in the beautiful name of Jesus Christ. But Lord, at this quiet moment, we come still to you. We come to you right now because there's nowhere else to go, Lord. And we believe in miracles. We believe, dear God, in the miracle working grace of the Word of God. And Father, through this stillness, I pray, Lord, that we will find rest in stillness. Lord, that we won't get agitated at this hour. Lord, that we won't, dear God, get flustered. So Lord, whatever is going on in our life, from the battles and the trials, the worries and the doubts, the uncertainty of life, whatever we face as brothers and sisters, Jesus, in this stillness of this night prayer, we come to you. And Lord, we're looking for your mercy, your favor. But Lord, wherever the listeners are, we pray from the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the Passover table. Lord, at this Passover time, Lord, at this night prayer, we need stillness, love, your mercy, and your grace. May the Spirit of the Lord carry you. Join me for the next prayer.
