Morning Prayer — When I Feel Overwhelmed and Need God’s Strength Right Now Psalm 46:1 Live from London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope  Lagos • São Paulo • Singapore • Manila STRENGTH • REFUGE • CALM  morning prayer when I feel overwhelmed • prayer for strength and help right now • Christian prayer for anxiety and pressure • prayer when life feels too much • prayer to find peace and stability in God Psalm 46:1 (NIV) “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” This is your early morning prayer for strength, for calm, and for steady ground beneath your feet. If you’ve woken up already feeling the weight of the day, or your thoughts are carrying more than they should, this moment is for you. This is a prayer to help you find stability and strength in God. Father, as this day begins, we come to You honestly. Not pretending we have everything together. Not pushing away what we feel. But bringing it all into Your presence. You are our refuge. That means we can come to You exactly as we are. And You are our strength. That means we do not have to carry today in our own ability. So we pause here. We take a breath. We allow ourselves to stop for a moment before the day begins to move. And we remember— You are present. Not distant. Not far away. But here, right now. An ever-present help. So I bring the weight I am feeling to You. I bring the thoughts that feel too heavy. I bring the pressure that has already begun to rise. I place it in Your hands. And I do not need to hold it all anymore. I release the tension in my body.  I release the strain in my mind. I release the fear that I will not be able to handle what comes today. I release it. And now, I receive.I receive strength for this moment. I receive calm in the middle of the pressure. I receive stability where I felt unsettled. Today, I will not try to do everything at once. I will take one step at a time. And with each step, I trust that You are with me. God is with you now. You are not facing this day alone. Across the world, wherever we are listening, You are strengthening lives. From Lagos to São Paulo, from Singapore to Manila, Your Spirit is bringing calm, support, and renewed strength.Jesús, eres mi refugio y mi fuerza en este momento. Jesus Cristo, Tu és o meu refúgio e a minha força agora. Jesus, Ikaw ang aking lakas at kanlungan sa araw na ito. Father, we trust You. We lean on You. We move forward with You. In Jesus’ name. Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. It is the early morning devotional prayer time. We're praying out of the great book of Psalms 46, verse 1. I invite you to stay with me. Come on, let's get straight in. This is the title. When I feel overwhelmed and need God's strength right now, Holy Spirit, I believe for the majority of us right now, under the sound of my voice, we need God's strength right now. Lord, through this early morning prayer devotional time, Lord, we are praying for four areas of our lives. Lord, we're praying for strength, we're praying for refuge, we're praying for calm, and we're praying for a morning covering over our lives. Lord, as we stretch out, Lord, as we lock in together, Lord, we are praying that the love of God will carry us when we feel overwhelmed in our mind. Lord, the world is so noisy. Lord, the world is so distracting and we need calmness. Lord, we need to feel the strength of Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Nissi. We need to find that refuge of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Father, we need to find the calmness of the Holy Spirit. Lord, we need the morning covering of our Savior. We need the grace and favor over our lives. And Lord, we come to the cross of Calvary. And right now, at this hour, we are praying for strength and help right now. Lord, we're not shy in coming forward. Lord, I want to tell you right now, you got to jump straight down into this studio. Lord, you've got to get straight into our lives because Lord, we need help. Lord, we got a long day today. We got a first day. And wherever we are, from the battlefield to the boardroom to the field of life, every sunset to the rainfalls, dear God, to the four seasons that we may be going. Lord, help us through the winter, the spring, the autumn, and the summer. Lord, guide us in every spiritual area of our lives. Lord, we need to be met right where we are. Lord, we are looking for you. And Lord, the noise of the world, dear God, is clouding our vision. Lord, when I feel overwhelmed, I need God's strength right now. Lord, we want to be like Jacob. Lord, we're going to wrestle with God until we got what we need. Holy Spirit, we're not going to let go. God, we're not going to let go because we need strength and we're feeling overwhelmed with the pressurized system of the world. Lord, we're looking at the political table. We're listening to the war sounds. Lord, we're worried about life itself. Lord, will you help us? Lord, we need strength. We need refuge. We need calmness. And we need the morning calling over our lives. Lord, we need that calling over our lives. The morning calling. Call us into thee. Lord, call us to the cross of Calvary and wherever we are. Father, we need the power and the love of Jesus Christ. But right now we pray through Psalm 46, verse 1. God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble. Lord, we pause and we say, Jesus, in the quietness, in the stillness, in the rhythm of this morning. Lord, we're going to kick the duval off now. Lord, we're going to swing our legs out of the bed. And Lord, we're going to get up and we're going to get out. We're going to put our makeup on, Lord. We're going to put our dress on, our jeans on, we're going to put our uniform on. Lord, we're going to comb our hair. We are going to get ready. But Lord, we are not going to go any further forward in our day feeling overwhelmed. Lord, before we pull the curtains back, Lord, before the dawn rises off the grass, Holy Spirit, we come to you right now and the cry at this early hour. Lord, we stretch out and we lock in together. Lord, we pray live from London, England. Lord, as we stretch across the world to Singapore, to Manila, all the way, dear God, to Johannesburg, from Johannesburg, all the way to Australia, all the way, dear God, to Japan, South Korea, North Korea. We're praying for Hong Kong. We're praying for such an outpouring of your spirit over our lives. Lord, we don't want to wake up feeling like we are feeling. Lord, we don't want to carry the weight of this day before the day unfolds. Lord, we want to go into this day free, blessed and highly favored. Father, we thank you that there is hope, there is power, there is anointing over our lives. Today we're going to be strong. Today we're going to go in a refuge of God. Today we're going to go calm. And Lord, we're going to go in the morning covering of the love of Jesus Christ. Wherever you are, don't ever give up. God loves you. Welcome to the morning prayer. And I welcome you and I ask you to stay. Come on, we're going to jump straight to the next prayer in a few hours. But God is with you wherever you are. Don't ever let the word of God depart from your mouth. Meditate on it day and night. Then you will be successful and prosperous. The beautiful book of Joshua. May the Spirit of the Lord carry you. I invite you, as I just said, to stay with me for the next prayer. God bless.
