Night Prayer — When I Need Peace, Protection, and Rest Without Fear Psalm 121:1–2 Live from London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope  London • New York • Nairobi • Manila PEACE • PROTECTION • REST night prayer for peace and protection • prayer to sleep without fear • Christian night prayer for calm and rest • prayer when my mind won’t switch off • prayer to trust God through the night  Psalm 121:1–2 (NIV) “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” This is your night prayer for peace, for protection, and for deep rest. If your mind is still active, or the day feels like it is lingering, this moment is for you. Father, as the day comes to an end, I come to You quietly. You are my help. You are my covering. You are the One who watches over me. So I pause here. I allow the day to settle. I allow my thoughts to slow. I bring everything from today into Your hands. The moments I understand. The moments I do not. The thoughts that are still moving within me. I place them with You. And I do not need to carry them into the night. I release the tension in my mind. I release the weight in my body. I release the need to keep thinking everything through. I release it. And now, I receive.I receive peace over my thoughts. I receive calm within my body. I receive rest that restores me. I receive. And now I lie down in peace. Not holding on. Not worrying. But trusting You to watch over me. God is with you now. You are not alone tonight. You are safe in His presence. You are held in His care. Across the world, You are bringing rest. From London to New York, from Nairobi to Manila, Your Spirit is calming hearts and giving peace. Jesús, descanso en Tu paz esta noche. Jesus Cristo, descanso na Tua paz esta noite. Jesus, nagpapahinga ako sa Iyong kapayapaan. Father, I trust You. I rest in You.In Jesus’ name. Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Van Cooper, wherever you are in the world, thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. It is the late night devotional prayer time. I don't know how you are, but we're tired and we're weary in this studio. We're jumping straight in the book of Psalms 121, and this is the title When I Need Peace, Protection and Rest Without Fear. Father, these three areas of life: peace, protection, and rest. And Lord, also we need a night covering. Lord, we're asking right now that Psalm 91 will be released over our lives. Father, we thank you that you have commanded angels concerning our lives to guard us in all of our ways. Lord, it's been a tough day today. Lord, the children have been driving us mad. Lord, work is crazy. Lord, life, the circle of life is just too much. Lord, we need peace at this hour. Lord, we got to try and sleep. Lord, then there's still stuff to unfold at these hours. Lord, the sun has already set across the UK. Lord, we're closing the curtains on today. And Lord, my mind is still very, very active. I need peace at this hour. I need protection. And Lord, I need to wind down. Lord, will you help us to wind down? Lord, before we get in bed tonight, Lord, will you deal with our mind? Will you deal with our heart? Lord, as the psalmist prays through Psalms 1, 2, 1, verse 1, I lift my eyes to the mountains. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Lord, will you help us just to stop, to pause, and to be still, and to realize that my help comes from the Lord. Lord, we're going to breathe right now and we're going to pause. And we're going to say thank you. Thank you, Jesus, for whatever has happened today. Lord, we thank you that you've been with us. Lord, wherever we are today, thank you that you are with us. Because our help comes from the Lord. Father, just like David, our eyes lock on over the mountains of life. And we say, Where does my help come from? And then suddenly our heart tells our mind, My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Lord, you are the Maker of earth and heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Lord, we believe that we are receiving divine peace right now. We believe that we are receiving divine protection right now. We believe that fear has no place in our lives. Lord, we thank you that we are healed, that we are blessed and highly favored, wonderfully and fearfully made. Lord, our minds need to calm down. Father, if any mind is active right now, Lord, we pray, dear God, for the noise of the world in the mind to go. Whatever battles we've gone through, whatever trials we've gone through, Lord, we're praying that the Spirit of the Lord will bring calmness and hope and protection. And Lord, as we close the curtains on this hour, Lord, as we close the curtains on another day, Lord, as the sun has already set over the UK, Lord, as we pray out live from London, England, all the way from London, all the way to New York, all the way to Manila, all the way to the Isle of Man, all the way to Europe, South Asia. We're praying for Australia. Lord, we're praying for China and Chile. Lord, every nation, every continent, every heart, every mind, everyone that is with us right now. Father, we thank you that we are locked in to this late-night devotional prayer time. And Lord, when I need peace, protection, and rest without fear, I know that I can open up the word of God and He will speak. Lord, I thank you from Genesis to Revelation. Lord God, that you are omnipresent, that you are Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. And Lord, we need to hear the Lion of Judah. Lord, bringing calm to the ferocious day that we've had. Lord, let your peace just rest over our lives. Lord, let us be like a sponge to soak up the love and the glory. Lord, let us just soak up that Shekinah glory, that latter-day rain. Lord, speak to us right now as we just rest, Holy Spirit, bring calm. And Father, I thank you for everyone under the sound of my voice. Lord, that their sleep is going to be sweet. May the Spirit of the Lord carry you all the way through this beautiful late night evening prayer time. May the God that we serve give you complete rest tonight. Will you join me in the morning for our early morning devotional prayer time? I invite you and I will speak to you in the morning. But have a beautiful sleep tonight. God is with you. Don't ever give up. Good night and God bless.
