Welcome And Settle In

Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper, wherever you are across the world. Thank you for making daily prayer part of your life and part of the rhythm of your day. How are you feeling tonight? I hope you're well. It is the late night devotional prayer time. We're going to lock in together. We're going to walk together. We're going to stand together and we're going to pray together right now. I invite you just to stay with me for these four minutes or just over. We're in the book of Psalms 4, verse 8. This is the title The Night Prayer for Peaceful Sleep, Safety and Deep Rest with Jesus. Father, we want deep rest with the Messiah. We want deep rest with Jesus Christ. Lord, it's been a long day. The house has been really noisy. Work has been carnage. Lord, life has just been frantic and scary and worrying today. But right now, Lord, we thank you that we belong to Jesus. And Lord, I thank you that even though we go through frantic situations, noisy days, Lord, stretching that we never thought we'd ever have to experience in our lives. Lord, we feel stretched beyond human understanding. But Lord, as we pray out live from London, England, Father, we thank you as we pray all the way from this studio to America, New York, Johannesburg, Tokyo, Amsterdam, and Wellington. Lord, we believe in the power of God. And before we get, dear God, in the bed, Lord, I pray, Lord, it feels like it's a long way off. Lord, before we pull that duvet over us, before we try to shut down, Lord, we need our minds dealt with. Lord, will you take away the overthinking? Will you take away the over-engineering? Lord, we need peace and calmness. But Lord, we're going to rest peacefully tonight because we're calling the things that are not as though they are. And we believe in miracles. Lord, I believe in healing. We believe in the power of God. And I pray for those that feel unwell tonight. I pray for those that need a rest. I pray, Lord, from the crown of their head to the sole of their feet, that you will bless them, pressed down, running over, shaken together, that they will see the goodness of God. And Lord, I'm asking you that we will walk and we will rest with Jesus. And we will feel your love, Lord, like never before in our lives. Father, we call the things that are not as though they are. And Lord, we thank you, Lord, that we are walking in divine health. We are walking in divine prosperity. Lord, we are walking in the goodness of God. And I thank you for this day. Lord, we want to say thank you. And we are pausing just for one moment to say thank you. Thank you for this day, Lord. And as the night starts to draw in, Lord, before the curtains close on this day, help us to close the lid on today. Help us, dear God, to find a place that we will relax and we will find refreshing spiritual reign from our God Jesus. I thank you that you never leave us nor forsake us. I place this day before you completely. Lord, I've got lots of anxious rhythm thoughts in my head, and right now the rhythm of anxiety needs to cease. I believe we believe in miracles. So Lord, I choose to pray now. I choose to speak to you now. I choose to pause. Lord, whatever the hour is, from wherever we are, from the four corners of the world, Lord, I thank you that my mind is becoming quiet. I thank you that my heart is becoming peaceful. I thank you, dear God, that the battle belongs to the Lord. And Lord, that our battle isn't against flesh and blood. Lord, I thank you, dear God, that you take care of every situation. But Jesus, remind me that I am not alone. And you are with us in every scenario, from every rainfall, from every season of life. We believe in the power of God. Lord, I pray that the listeners will find the love of Jesus so strong tonight. I pray that their sleep will be sweet. And whatever they've carried today, whatever they've gone through today, that they will feel the love and the glory of Jesus Christ. And the presence of the Holy Spirit will carry them right now through to the early morning. That they will refine the refreshing rain of the Holy Spirit, that they will sleep sweet. Lord God, that they will just rest in the arms of Jesus, that there are angels encamped around their bed, around their house, around their lives. I believe that the Spirit of the Lord is with you right now, wherever you are. Don't ever give up. Trust God. Will you join me for the early morning prayer? God bless and have a beautiful night. Take care.
