Psalm 3:5 — I Lie Down and Sleep Because the Lord Sustains Me Live from our studios in London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. Hobart • Hamilton • Singapore • Birmingham, Alabama • Buenos Aires REST • SECURITY • ASSURANCE Good evening, and welcome to DailyPrayer.uk. I’m Reverend Ben Cooper. Come in for five minutes, let’s open God’s Word together, and let’s pray. As another day comes to its gentle close, you may still be carrying thoughts that refuse to settle or questions that remain unanswered. Before sleep arrives, remember this simple truth: you do not have to stay awake to keep your life together. The Lord who has walked with you throughout this day will continue watching over you throughout this night. His faithful care never pauses, and His love never sleeps. Psalm 3:5 (NIV) “I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.” What a beautiful assurance to carry into the night. We are able to rest because God remains awake. He sustains us with His strength, surrounds us with His peace and holds us securely in His everlasting love. So tonight, let’s gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Jesus Christ is our faithful Shepherd, our constant refuge and the One who lovingly watches over us while we sleep. Father, thank You for Your goodness throughout this day. Thank You for every answered prayer, every unseen act of protection and every quiet reminder that You have never left our side. Lord Jesus, watch over every listener tonight. Bring healing to those who are unwell, comfort to those who feel alone, peace to anxious minds and deep, refreshing sleep to every weary heart. Help us release every burden into Your hands and trust completely in Your unfailing care. Holy Spirit, surround every home with Your peace, strengthen our faith and gently remind us that we are always safe in the loving presence of God. Across the world, from Hobart to Hamilton, from Singapore to Birmingham and Buenos Aires, may every listener rest tonight with renewed confidence, knowing that the Lord sustains them, keeps them and will greet them with fresh mercy in the morning. me. Father, help me to pause. Lord, I thank you that you are sustaining each and every one of us through the battles of life, through the tornadoes of life, through the tsunamis of life, through the river of life, Lord, through the weather systems that are on upon us, whether we're in the winter, the spring, the summer, or the autumn. Lord, the spiritual battles that we go through, the fears and the doubts, Lord, the heaviness of life, the unseen moments that are coming down the track of life. Father, I pray that we will hear the echo of the Lion of Judah. You are the great I am. You are the first and you are the last.

Walking In The Spirit As Day Ends

But right now I pray, Lord, as this day comes to a close, Lord, that we will operate in the gifts of the Spirit. Lord, that we will walk in the fruit of the Spirit. Lord, that the love of Jesus Christ will be so strong over our

lives. Lord, I thank you that as we walk today, as we carry our lives, Lord, I thank you that these pressures that we carry, Lord, help us to hand them over to you. Help us to let go and to let go and to let God just move. To let go and to let go and to let go. Holy Spirit, Lord, we gotta learn to let go. Lord, the amount of times I've said this, Lord, help me to let go and let go and let go. But dear God, in the name of Jesus, it's easy for me to say, I'm gonna let go, but my mind is still holding on. And Lord, I need you to sustain me. Lord, I believe in miracles. I believe in the power of God. And as we pray through Psalms 3, verse 5, I lie down and sleep. I wake again because the Lord sustains me. But Lord, we don't want to keep waking every 30 minutes, every hour. Lord, we want to let go and keep letting go and let God. Because Lord, this thought panel, these chain of events that happen in our lives, for these uh mysterious avenues that we find ourselves in, these areas of holy sack situations, the works, the worries, the fears, the doubts, Lord, relationships, the parents, the children, life itself, money, Lord, just the rhythm of life. Holy Spirit, I pray as we stretch out, Lord, that we will keep letting go and we will let go again and again. And Lord, teach us to let go. So, Lord, that we will find the sustaining presence of the Holy Spirit. Sustain us as we sleep, carry us as we sleep. Let your anointing be over us

as we sleep. Lord, as we stretch out live from London, England, all the way from this studio, all the way to Hamilton, Singapore, Birmingham, Alabama, Buenos Aires, Lord, all the way, dear God, to Australia. Lord, we are looking for revival reign. Lord, I pray that we will walk in the fruit of the Spirit, Lord, that we will live, dear God, in the gifts of the Spirit, and the Holy Spirit, Lord, will just bring freedom. Lord, as this day comes to a gentle close, wherever we are, crisscrossing the world, let's remind one another, Lord, that fear will never win, and nothing can separate us from the love of God. Because Jesus Christ is our faithful shepherd, you are our constant, you are our refuge, you are our strength, and Christ is looking over you right now. Angels have been deployed at the name of Jesus Christ. Don't ever give up wherever you are. The Spirit of the Lord is over you. Psalms 3, verse 5. I will lie down and sleep, I will wake again because the Lord sustains me. Father, we pray as we pedal out of this prayer that we will be still and know that you are God. And Lord, we thank you that there is peace, there is strength. We are growing in our faith. Gently remind us tonight that no weapon forged against us shall prosper. And all things are possible to those who believe. Lord, help us to rest. Help us to close the laptop on today. Help us to turn the key on today. Help us to close the curtains on this day right now. Father, help us to close our eyes to sleep and to rest. But Lord, I thank you that you're gonna carry us through tonight in the greatest name in heaven and earth. May the Spirit of the Lord carry you at this hour. Hand everything over to Jesus. But let's continue the journey of prayer. My name's Reverend Ben Cooper. Have a beautiful sleep tonight. Don't ever give up. God is with you. Will you join me tomorrow morning? Will you join me at the first light of dawn for our prayers as we start another day? God is with you tonight. Have a beautiful sleep. God bless and good night.
