Sometimes the beginning of a new day can feel exciting, and at other times it can feel uncertain. Yet before we think about everything that lies ahead, let’s remember the most important truth of all. We do not begin this day alone. The God who called Joshua to move forward with courage is the same faithful God who walks beside us today. Before we take our next step, let’s pause together and place this new day into His hands. Scripture (NIV) “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 Heavenly Father, thank You that Your presence goes with us wherever this day may lead. When uncertainty whispers to our hearts, remind us that You are already walking ahead of us. Replace fear with courage, discouragement with hope and hesitation with quiet confidence in Your promises. Help us to trust You in every conversation, every responsibility and every unexpected moment. Fill us with the strength that comes from knowing You are near. May our words reflect Your kindness, our decisions honour Your wisdom and our lives point others towards Your unfailing love. We step into this day with confidence because You faithfully walk beside us. Fear will not win, because the Lord our God is with us wherever we go. May the Lord strengthen your heart today, fill you with quiet courage and remind you that His faithful presence goes before every step you take. Welcome to Daily Prayer. I'm Reverend Ben Cooper coming to you live from our studios in London, England. Let's open the word of God together and let's pray together. God bless you wherever you are across the world. It is the early morning devotional prayer time. We're going to gather around the scripture and we're going to go to Joshua 1, verse 9. But before we do, let's never ever give up. God is with each and every one of us. Before the sun rises across this nation, I want to let you know that the power of God is with you. Don't ever give up. Whatever your rhythm, whatever your situation is now, the love of God is over your life. And I invite you, as always, to join me for these four minutes or so, but also for the duration of this day. So let's stay together, pray together, and let's walk with Jesus. Come on,

Joshua 1:9 And A Call

here we go. We're in Joshua chapter 1, verse 9. Step in today with courage, for the Lord is with you. Father, we need you in our lives. Holy Spirit, Lord, we feel lost in the world. And dear God, we need courage today. Lord, we need this courage from Scripture. Father, we thank you that the love of God never fails us.

Prayer For Courage Presence Confidence

But Lord, before the phone rings, Lord, before this day starts to unfold, before the dew of the grass lifts off, Lord, before we pull the curtains back on a brand new day, Holy Spirit, Lord, I pray for three areas of an uplift in our lives. Lord, we're looking for courage. Lord, we need courage to face the trials and the tribulations, situations that we're going through. Lord, we need you in our lives like never before. So Lord, we pray for courage. And Lord, not only do we want courage, Lord, we want your presence. And Lord, we need the presence of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. And Lord, as this day will bring opportunities, Lord, we pray that you will open doors that will give us boldness, close doors of the past. But also, Lord, we are looking for confidence. And Lord, as we pray for confidence, your presence and courage at this early hour. Lord, before the dew lifts off the grass of life, before we pull the curtains back, before we put our makeup on, comb our hair, jump in the shower, brush our teeth, Lord, before we get out of bed and put the work boots on. Spirit of the living God, I pray for peace. I pray for your courage, your presence, Lord, that we will rise on wings as of eagles. And Lord, before that phone starts to ring, before the WhatsApps come through, before the text, the emails, the rhythm of culture and life. Holy Spirit, help us to pause, just to gather our breath and just say, Jesus, I need you today. And Lord, I thank you. As we walk with you, as we live with you, as we move with you, as dear God, the Holy Spirit is with us. Lord, we live with you because you're in our lives. Lord, we need to get that in our spirit. Lord, that you're omnipresent, you're omnipotent. But Lord, you tell us very clearly, never will I leave you, and never will I forsake you. So, Father, you live in our skin that we walk in wherever we are. God is with you. The Spirit of God, the power of Jehovah Jirah is living in you right now. We live with God and God lives with us. But right now, as we pray through Joshua 1 verse 9, have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the Lord thy God will be with you wherever you go. Father, we need you in our lives. Holy Spirit, we stretch out right now. And Lord, we're praying for courage. We're praying for your presence. We're praying for confidence. Lord, that you will lift us. Father, before that phone there starts to ring, Holy Spirit, Lord, before the emails start coming in, from the battlefield to the boardroom. Father, we thank you, Lord, that every decision, every moment, every unexpected turn, Lord, your hand is with us, and you will never leave us nor forsake us. From the battlefield to the boardroom, from the boardroom to the prison, from the prison to the van, from the van to the car, to the hospice to the hospital. Father, as we get ready for this day, we believe in miracles. We believe as we stretch out live from London, England, all the way to the United States, to New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, and South Korea. We're believing right now that there is a power and there is anointing, that your presence, Lord, is wrapped around us. And we're going to go in confidence and we're going to find that courage today because we're going to be strong and we're not going to be afraid. Because the power of God is in our lives. Father, whatever this day is going to do, however this day is going to unfold, Lord, from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet. Lord, we recognize we are blessed and highly favored, wonderfully and fearfully made. And right now, Lord, at this early hour, Lord, carry us. Help us to get out of bed. Brush our teeth, Lord. Make that tea and that coffee. Get the home ready. But Lord, we are going to have a blessed day in the greatest name in heaven and earth.
