Nicodemus came to Jesus by night, and he had some hard questions for Jesus.
His most significant struggle was how to deal with Jesus’ statement that he needs to be born again from above, and by water and Spirit, in order to enter the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus asks some heavy questions of Jesus trying to get him to bring some clarity to this whole situation.
How can we hope to understand when someone who grew up in this culture couldn’t even get it?
What if light is so foreign to us that we can’t even recognize what it is?
