In recent years, a new term has been used to describe several musical subgenres of the mid to late sixties music scene. "Sunshine Pop" is attributed to bubblegum, garage rock, mild psychedelia, adult oriented pop, mostly AM radio station Top 40 formats. these are a few selections from this general moniker. The music is upbeat and happy sounding. Very much pop oriented
