about"},{"startTime":308.972,"endTime":310.947,"body":"when you're scrolling the internet."},{"startTime":311.427,"endTime":315.727,"body":"It was a little more tangible when, these"},{"startTime":364.942,"endTime":369.392,"body":"different basically servers throughout"},{"startTime":364.942,"endTime":369.392,"body":"the world, that require tons of energy."},{"startTime":369.812,"endTime":375.682,"body":"And, you know, every time a webpage"},{"startTime":369.812,"endTime":375.682,"body":"loads, as I was mentioning before most"},{"startTime":375.742,"endTime":380.812,"body":"internet connected websites or apps or"},{"startTime":375.742,"endTime":380.812,"body":"connected tv, whatever it is are either"},{"startTime":381.452,"endTime":384.146,"body":"free or, subsidised by advertising."},{"startTime":384.626,"endTime":387.982,"body":"And the amount of emissions from"},{"startTime":384.626,"endTime":387.982,"body":"digital advertising is, is somewhere"},{"startTime":387.982,"endTime":392.422,"body":"around, you know, that two to 4%"},{"startTime":387.982,"endTime":392.422,"body":"of global emissions because of"},{"startTime":392.422,"endTime":393.679,"body":"most of the internet being about"},{"startTime":430.084,"endTime":436.37,"body":"like every minute how many Google searches"},{"startTime":430.084,"endTime":436.37,"body":"happen, how many videos are uploaded or"},{"startTime":436.37,"endTime":439.01,"body":"watched on TikTok and YouTube and Netflix."},{"startTime":439.01,"endTime":443.39,"body":"And all those are stored in, in"},{"startTime":439.01,"endTime":443.39,"body":"different servers, and it takes energy"},{"startTime":443.412,"endTime":444.972,"body":"to fire those up and, and run them."},{"startTime":445.412,"endTime":448.322,"body":"And then you think about like, as I"},{"startTime":445.412,"endTime":448.322,"body":"was mentioned before, every time a"},{"startTime":448.322,"endTime":452.768,"body":"website is loaded, there's sometimes,"},{"startTime":448.322,"endTime":452.768,"body":"multiple eBay type auctions happening"},{"startTime":452.768,"endTime":457.028,"body":"in fractions of a second to bid on"},{"startTime":452.768,"endTime":457.028,"body":"that user and get that ad in front"},{"startTime":457.028,"endTime":458.258,"body":"of the right user in the right time."},{"startTime":458.618,"endTime":461.948,"body":"And there's this whole complex, basically"},{"startTime":458.618,"endTime":461.948,"body":"supply chain of advertising that it"},{"startTime":461.948,"endTime":464.228,"body":"goes through to make these just"},{"startTime":476.24,"endTime":480.2,"body":"a million impressions in advertising."},{"startTime":480.23,"endTime":485.21,"body":"And our company Sharethrough
