This week we talkabout fish men, ghost sightings, labyrinths and wartime allegories as we rank the Top Ten films directed by Guillermo del Toro. With Pinocchio releasing to critical acclaim just before Christmas and then going on to receive the best animated feature at the Oscars, it seemed as good a time as any to discuss the director.
Is he an auteur though? We have a discussion about whether his trusty palette and obsession with monsters makes him one of if he's just very stylised. We also answer the big question...which Guillermo monster could we take on in a fight?
Don't switch off the lights. Don't look in any mirrors. Definitely don't open any old relics. These films are creepier than you'd first anticipate...but oh so good!
