Welcome to the Potter discussion.

welcome back to the Potter discussion discussing Harry Potter, fantastic beasts and the rooster world's fandom. I am your host Oscar, and this is episode of 130. 34, for those who don't speak to me. Um, today we are talking about Dumbledore and gorilla vault. The relationship that we talked about a little bit before last week and how good the story arc it has.

Well today we are expanding that point of view and really diving into this, this story, this plot line. What this has to do with the, uh, arc of whatever's going to happen next. And I am very excited for this because I just finished my rewatch of the secrets of Dumbledore and a lot of good stuff as in this discussion, because now we can go back and really start working through the fantastic beasts timeline because Brenda vault does play a very, very minor part in the Harry Potter series.

But now we, and we got a bit of a. Uh, relationship check, if you will then, but now we are really getting a chance to dive into this infant task, beast, really check out what's going on, uh, with Dumbledore and Greeneville and a lot of, lot of good Easter eggs and just little, little lines dropped in there that are really, really interesting in the sixth devil's door.

So a lot of good things are going to be talking about today. So make sure you stick around before we get started. However, I do want to say a quick thing. And it's all for free. So make sure you go check that out. The clinic newsletter and, uh, yeah, let's get into today's episode. So I want to just start everything off with really a conversation about. Where do we stand with all this? Because it's a very complicated mess of events and big mistakes and incidents and just huge breakups and like all this stuff that I think it's important to straighten it all out before we move on.

Because if we don't, it's going to prove to be a lot more confusing in the future. So I just want to get everything out on the table, really figuring out where do we stand and make sure we can move forward with a. I'm sure you can look up a very much more specific timeline for this, but generally what happens is Dumbledore are gonna will meet when they are fairly young.

They fall in love. They want to destroy the world. Well, I shouldn't say destroy. They want to create a better world. Um, and then eventually Dumbledore is not really thinking along the same lines where they made a blood pack. If there's nothing he can do about it, getting involved is just spent. He's not dispelled.

He is expelled from derm, Strang, Dumbledore continues his schooling at Hogwarts. He becomes this great wizard and moved on to do. The bigger and better things. He moves through his life. And now it's kind of ending up here in fantastic beasts. They're in their forties, Grenoble and Dumbledore, and they have a good relationship.

Well, I shouldn't say good, but they still love each other, which is, I think in a very interesting part of this. So they, they love each other in the first task B's movie. I'm gonna ask him he's moving. And that, that is one of the things holding them back. And of course, besides the blood pack, I think even without the blood pack, you wouldn't immediately move against Grunewald for hope that there's a better way or a way that he doesn't have to hurt going to bald or Grinnell has to hurt him because they don't want to even Grinnell vault, even Grinnell doesn't want to hurt the many loves.

And at the beginning of the secrets of Dumbledore, they let each other in, in. Uh, that, that, that, that dining restaurant, of course, of course, a restaurant where you die. And of course in the restaurant Donald aren't going to want are still loving each other. They, they still don't have a, uh, a romantic relationship.

And that continues up until the very last scene of the secrets of Dumbledore. The duel, when the blood pact is broken, when of old goes to kill Dumbledore moves to protect and they can finally destroy the blood pack and they don't love each other anymore. I'm going to evolve. Who will love you now, Dumbledore, then it is clear that their romantic relationship is done.

It's in the dust. It's kicked to the side of the road. Gasp. That's pretty much just a basic overview of really where we are, because I think these really like this is a very intricate timeline here and really getting the dates right. And understanding where we might go in the future in terms of, you know, what, what might happen is of course this is the past because we, we have existed.

Peter Timberland with Harry. So we know what happens, but we don't know exactly how it happened. This is why this finesse series exists. But I think understanding when it will happen and why we'll have it, I mean, you know, anything really because the Dumbledore and Grinnell volt relationship kind of balances on so many different things that if one block just kind of left the tower there, the rest would fall.

They have well, that's, that's exactly what we saw. The blood pact was just one element of this and it was destroyed. And so was the entire rest of the whole thing that was built. So we can really see how intricate everything is here and really how easy it is to topple everything already created. So that's why I think it's important to really understand where we're going and how the story is going to be carried out.

Of course, this is really dependent on if there's going to be for, uh, like a four week next few movies in total or five fantastic views in total. It really depends. I'm betting on four. So I think what's gonna happen is either they're going to have a big wrap-up scene of not, not one scene, but have a film.

That's more of a wrap up, you know, just like an hour. Maybe it be like an hour. And just, just so they don't have to spend all this money on a big budget, blockbuster and, you know, have go in debt again and then not really get anything done. No, I think the, I think that they're going to have to either do this kind of, like I said, wrap-up where they close the loose ends and really make everything clear without the ending.

Or move through the timeline in an efficient way or skip, I mean, at least 10 years in between films, which is going to be more difficult to I'll see how they, how they pull that off now to then get to 1945. But of course this, this whole series ends well, it's supposed to end. It was scheduled to end in 1945 and the duel between Dumbledore and Grinnell Baldwin Dumbledore wins.

And of all the magical ability somehow and take the elder wand. And that is that congrats. So I think there's a lot of different routes. We could go here. Um, the, the future is not set in stone at all, especially well, that's that factors proven after all the, uh, unfortunate failures in the, uh, domestic theater production grossing, I did not say that right at all.

For Warner brothers, they did not make nearly as much money as they want to. So the future is really up in the air right now, but I think that is really, really have to go at least something that ties up things, because I think I would not be mad by the end of the series here, but I think there's so much more with them with Laura and going on and we can see if they move on.

I mean, we've we just entered the territory where everything is now gold. Everything is so much more exciting because now grin of all coming in, quote quote-unquote, he's not your enemy. And I now like, okay, I just, I just finished this. His line was, you know, I was never your enemy and I'm still not, or something like that where he's obviously it's a lot.

Um, this is really where everything is getting exciting and where the characters are starting to clash and where everything's really starting to come together. And the way that we saw and know it does. So I think Indian here would just be kind of stopping, you know, a Waterslide. So I think. It's going to be tough to wrap it up if they do, but I'm hoping, I think one more, film's going to be with what we're going to get for them.

We're going to Wald really see, uh, where this is, this whole thing's going to go over is a different story, but I hope this kind of made it a bit, at least at least a little clear to understand really what is happening with Dumbledore and granola. Now I want to talk about the line that I talked a little bit about before, but is going to play a huge role in the future.

Not, not directly, but there's going to be a huge influence from what we heard from Grinnell vault at the very end of this film and that line. Who will love you now, Dumbledore. And I think this is a big deal because it symbolizes that Dumbledore and Grunewald no longer love each other, which I mean, obviously that happened, that happened now.

They're not really on the same turf. They're kind of. So that is really what this line symbolizes, but I think it also kind of symbolized she's not now Dumbledore is alone, which is something that Dumbledore really, really does not want. Um, and unfortunately he's alone now, but I think with, with his aloneness, I don't know if you can say that with his alone.

I think he now has gained a new perspective on really how they can go about defeating Grinnell bold. Now this is because when the Dumbledore is now alone, he now has to kind of reach out and find someone else that he can kind of be a team with. But this is where it gets complicated because I don't think he is.

I don't think Dumbledore is going to try and. For one another duo. So not, not in a romantic way, but he needs a partner in crime. And I think Snape and McGonigal are kind of his, his people in the future. But I think now he really asks you to solo and I think he really has to accept that. Him who has to face Grinnell bolt because he does neon.

We know that. So eventually he does accept it, but he is going to have to be accept in this film that this, it will not in this film, but he has to accept in general that he is the one who has to face great of all. He is one who has to beat him, or basically the world is going to be destroyed. Although Greenwald did lose the election for the Supreme court.

That is not going to stop him from becoming his own sort of leader of the magical world, because obviously millions upon millions of people are already supporters of Grenada vault and a width. I mean, one witch or wizard could take dozens of muggles on their own if they really do want to destroy the world because we've all could probably do a pretty bang up job of it right now.

So I think where we are really is in a state of Dumbledore having to move against Grunewald now, You can, you can it's as simple as that, the blood packet is destroyed and they don't want to each other. He has no he's, he's nothing stopping each other. He, yes, he's nothing stopping him. Dumbledore has nothing stopping him from going after Greenwald.

And this I think is really the time that he has to step up and X out that, and really know that it is time to do something he couldn't before, because he had the blood pact. But now there's no more excuse. The ministry is going to be on his back. There's going to be so much pressure for him to move on.

And, uh, like I move on against, um, his, his morals of not wanting to kill greener balls, but I think if he then like discovers the way of just removing his magical ability and not killing him, then I think he will be more eager to, to move forward with this because we saw in the. Oh, I want to say the definitely hollow.

This is one of those confusing things. It could be a memory or it could be a hairy inside Voldemort's head. Well, in the later Harry Potter series, we see that grin of bolt is still alive. So Donald Lord does not kill him. And somehow criminal vault is kept with Ellie against his. And maybe that's the other, because Nerman guard turned into his prison.

So maybe it was because, uh, Dumbledore cast so many, like intensely magical spells with the help of so many other people that Greenwald couldn't hope of escaping. He he's medical. Billy was stripped, which I think is what happened. So, uh, if, if Dumbledore can realize that there's other ways besides killing him, I can, when, uh, I'll allow him to defeat Grinnell balls, I think he will be more eager to, to move on with us because he wants what's best for, we're going to vault grid of all of us we're with war.

And I think it's less on Greenwald's part because if it's kill Elvis or. What he's been trying to hear for the whole time, and he's going to kill all of this. But if Dumbledore is presented with the choice of killed Grinell vaults or not kill Grunewald, he's not going to kill Grinnell bald. So there is a huge gap here between the two Grunewald and Dumbledore.

And I think he'd stumbled those goodness. That's really going to get out of here and. He has true goodness, the chillin with a Q bound to him, he, the gentleman actually bow to, to, to, to, to Dumbledore. So we know that there is a true capacity and Dumbledore his heart for good, which is exactly what we need right now.

Um, and of course we, we knew that of course, because he's a great wizard. She does so many amazing things in his life, but now we really see that proof a hundred percent proof. And now the whole wisdom world knows that. And they also know that that Greeneville. Not purified in the slightest. Uh, it is just Santos and Dumbledore now that are the pure of RGS, but that's kind of a lot, um, with that.

That's really what I got from the who'll have you now Dumbledore line, because it's a very heavy line. It means a lot, a lot could be interpreted from it, but that's just how I saw it. And that's how, like that's, that's, that's the information I gleaned personally from the line. So yeah. Now to discuss a, another very important part of this puzzle.

And that is, we know where this ends. We know that the story ends in 1945. We know the relationship between Dumble. They're going to have all this pretty much gone. Although Dumbledore is still cares for them for, for, for going to bald, I think, uh, but  is kind of a shell. It becomes empty. He really does not enjoy life in general.

So really we know where. And I think that is an important part of this and that assuming that we are going to just quickly go over, because it is a, a part of this puzzle now will not be able to do complete the full picture without really what can we glean from this? Well, I think the fact that we know that there is an end is even like one of the most important parts, because it seemed like at least in the consequent of walls, that there was going to be no end to whatever relationship to whatever garbled mess was going on between.

And Grinnell vaults. But now that we know that there is now that we really have seen that there is something that there's an end point, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. I think it's really going to influence how we can see the future of this story. Whether of course, if, if there is one at all, which of course we were, we were talking about before, but if there even is a futures of the story, I think it's important to understand that there is an end and there is something.

Time in the future when Dumbledore will make the decision to really go after Greenbelt. I think he probably starts a bit earlier than 1945 because he doesn't wait that long, but also a grid of old is a very powerful wizard. And it's only, you know, by, by a small margin that Dumbledore one, the duel, if, if Dumbledore hand that's a different story, but he did.

It was just like Greenwald was holding Dumbledore off for so long. Uh, through the years before 1945, that they managed to keep that going, that they managed to keep the world spinning and both of them alive and both of them will like living and running and breathing. So I think that part of it, that, that, that we know that.

Story is going to be useful because now we have a canvas. We reread, we have a set frame that we know exactly what going to happen because the filmmakers can't change cannon. They, they, they can't change can, and it becomes messy. It always ends up being a bad decision. So they're absolutely going to keep this.

Sequence of events in the same order. That is a hundred percent certain, but it is a question of really what is painted on this canvas. That is going to be the question, but we have the sheet to begin with. So this is going to be a very interesting next couple of years, um, in, in the, the, the, the story, I mean, not, not in our life, um, but very interesting next couple of years in the story that really.

Where the story writers are going to try to take this story again, this is not relying on if they have film or not, but I'm just saying in general, assuming that there's going to be a bajillion more films, where is this story going to go? Is the main question here. Like I was saying, we know exactly what happens.

So there's no mystery. In addition, the question of curiosity, really how it all happens, what Grinnell does. If he gains more support, if he can less supportive Sante steps in, if sentos becomes like a like that dude from a measure who got confronted by, um, Tina and then one inside the metal person, you know, so.

There's so many different things at stake here, and there's so many different things at play. I should also say that it is a very difficult to really pin down where we're going, but we do know how we get there, which like I was saying this whole time is very useful and very, very important. Now, I'm going to tackle a bit of a big question here and you'll see in a minute why I think it's big, but also I think it's not even that large at all.

And that is, will they ever love each. Again, so this, what I, when I, when I'm really thinking here is their relationship is pretty much gone. Now they're romantically interested in each other. That that is in the past, that is absolutely gone. That is destroyed. They stand the life out of it, kicked to the rap.

They kicked to the curb and now it is gone well, will they bring it back? No, that's a pretty simple answer for me. No, they absolutely will not. Love each other again. And I'll tell you why in a second, because I also said that this is a very complicated thing, but like I said before, there is something stopping Dumbledore from moving against Grunewald.

Again. Stays in the, in the thirties and the early forties, he has years to plan. He has years to work with his team and gather more supporters and maybe make the, um, first order of the Phoenix. But the question here is what, what is he really doing with anything? What is he like? He's, he's interacting with someone in this space between.

Doing something, but we don't know. So is that something trying to get over Grunewald and gather the emotional strength to move against him? Is that really where we're headed with this story? Because. I would accept that I would accept that as a, a, uh, a facet for Dumbledore to not be able to move against Grunewald, but I want it to be more than that.

I want it to be more than just, you know, oh, I kind of, I don't want it. I don't wanna, I don't know. No, I don't want, you know, like that's just kind of a droning, like, okay, like we, uh, we get it. You don't wanna move against Grindelwald you can, but you won't, you know, like that. That captioning, I think has to be revamped and revised and all, all the, all the reas, uh, to make this a better, uh, scenario for us as, especially as Watchers, right.

As, as, as viewers. So the question of if we'll Greenwald. Donald Lord loves you. They were, again, I think is a, is a, is a pretty solid. No, but there we are. We are kind of in theory land here. I know that this is, this is a bit exciting. We are in theory land because there is a space between, there is a gap.

There is a gap a year. If you will, a little space between the time that demo during it and what to actually do all. So, yup. Happens. That is some that I want to Def definitely be on the lookout for, and maybe have a discussion about, uh, include that in a discussion, because I think that could decide a very good portion of what happens just in general of what happened, because of course, that is the next edition of the story.

There are things here that we don't know that we are going to find. By seeing Dumbledore work. There are things that we know are going to happen. We don't know when, like I was saying before we know in the end, so we know exactly what happens, but we don't know how it happened. This is really where the other part of this comes into play.

We know how it ends. We don't know how it starts. Really. Where is Dumbledore or coming from, what will affect his decisions and really, how is he going to move forward with feelings that he actually does not have? Or maybe still does? And actually that brings up a good point because I said that Dumbledore, we're going to Walden women to love each other.

That love will not be returned by Grenada vault. Bugged will Dumbledore love Grinnell vault dressed separately all by his lonesome questions. Questions, questions. I don't know. I don't know. That is one that I can't say. And that's tough. I think, man, this, this, this is a hard one. I think he will, he will not love Greeneville.

I think that answer still stands, but I think he, he, he will care about him. I think just inherently as, as they were friends, they had a very, very close relationship with children. They are. Some semblance of caring about each other. But I think, uh, the love part of it is definitely gone because when Grinnell tripped the kale, credence, Dumbledore his nephew and add before the son, I think there was nothing there that Daimler would be like, okay, I forgive you.

It's fine. You know, and that cause that, that, that would never fly. So I think that's, that's where the love kind of went down the door and going to hold on that love each other. After Donald would try to, our grandma tried to kill one of them when I was own family. But I think he might still care.

Dumbledore might still care a little bit because I'll be like Gellert he's he's Geller. He is his friend. His is his lover. Oh. So long ago. Um, so I think there, there is some, some meat here for a new storyline for a new facet, like I said before, for Dumbledore to have some kind of feeling some sort of small, positive feeling towards Grunewald.

Okay. Yeah. This, this is this, this is getting juicy. This is going to be. Okay. So there's one more thing. I want to talk about the final thing of this episode. And I think this is something that could definitely affect the future of this series of not, not, you know, in terms of, will there be more films, but this, this is something that can definitely affect the story and that is will Grinnell of all do anything.

Spite. This is something that I was wondering, especially after seeing how devastated Greenwald was that he didn't, uh, win the election. I think, well, devastated. Isn't the right word. He threw like a tantrum.

Sorry. That was a bad noise. So he was not happy. He was not happy that he didn't, when he was throwing a Chan for me, he was, yeah, he had his mean face on and then. Then he stomped away and we never saw him again. You know? So I think there is something there to be said that grin evolves might decide to change his, his outlook, because there's definitely a way here for granola volt to have a huge impact on the way things are going.

Obviously he does have even more of an impact is really what I'm saying here, because he has a lot of followers and. Silly. Just the smallest thing. If you ordered this tiniest little boop little blip of existence, I think his followers will rush to his aid and I will absolutely carry out whatever a mundane task he has for them.

So one of that mundane task is getting him a loaf of bread that do have breakfast in the morning, or killing an entire nation of people. His followers are gladly going to care, get out. So this really depends on. Well, how, how bad of a person going to hold this feeling like? Uh, because I think Dumbledore is a good person and that's proved by the children.

So when Greenwald is he's hacker that he's with the, uh, he, he is, uh, interacting with a good person. Dumbledore now it breaks all of his ties would be going to Walt and they're going to ball. It's like, oh my gosh, I am no like, no, no man, the tantrum. So isn't how credible, you know, descending into, into, into villain.

Dumb is now embracing the darkness. Well, these are definitely questions that I think. We'll be answered, you know, hopefully. Um, but I think our very easily kind of talks through because we don't know, we don't know only that we know that Grinnell is not happy. He had a bad breakup and now he's going through the loss of his very young.

Kingdom in the form of the entire Wizarding world. So there's a lot to be said here. I think we definitely just scratched the surface today, but I encourage you to, to continue to think about really what, what this, uh, uh, whole thing means. And really we're going to balls going where Dumbledore is going, where they're going together, if anywhere at all.

So, I mean, That that is, that is just about it. Um, I had a lot of fun making this episode. Uh, it was, it was one of those that I had the idea before, like a long time ago when I really want to do it. So, uh, I'm definitely happy that we, we got to, to get to this. Um, uh, if you had, you haven't heard yet on the 3rd of June, quite awhile ago, um, these sticks that Dumbledore came out on HBO, max for streaming.

You don't have HBO. I encourage you to get it. It's not sponsored or anything, but, uh, it is a, uh, a very nice way to be able to watch the series of normal to make sure you go watch it. The secrets downloads you can. I personally am going to again many times because there's a lot going on here. I think. I'm not going to do any kind of like watch along thing.

Cause, um, well, my that's a long, a long thing, so that's going to be tough, but it doesn't encourage you to watch the series of Dumbledore. Uh, keep thinking about this, keep talking with your friends, uh, all that, all that kind of stuff. And when you're talking with your friends, you can mention that you heard about it from this podcast, from the pirate discussion, because really you guys are the, uh, the, the, the best promoters for the show that I'll ever have.

So if want to tell a friend, you know, we'll enjoy the show, their lives. Uh, far improved. Somebody should go tell them about that, uh, that you leave listening. Uh, and as always remember that happiness can be found even the darkest of times. If one only remembers to turn off the light, I will see you later.

This was The Potter Discussion.
