Topics/Summary:
· 1:33 It’s not welcome, it’s welcome back. None of this is going to be brand new, so I’m hoping the filmmakers realize that they shouldn’t be trying to reinvent the wheel. We didn’t know what any of the characters or sets looked like when the films were coming out, but now we have an image for some of those. Now we’re past that and we don’t need a definitive answer.
· 10:59 We don’t need the background. You know when actors have lines just to introduce things to the audience? We need some degree of that or else we wouldn’t really know what was going on, but we don’t need nearly as much as we got in the films. Getting rid of the fluff is going to leave room for bigger and better things.
· 19:03 Make stuff up! They don’t have to grab everything directly from the films or books. In fact, making some new material that is still true to the story would be awesome.
· 22:54 More history. How amazing would it be to see an episode about the founders of Hogwarts? Or even just about a day in the life of a wizard hundreds of years ago? Or about the history of magic itself and the thousands or millions of years it has taken for it to evolve?
· 27:17 Some of it is going to be similar, and that’s ok. The story is the same and the characters are all the same, so we are bound to get things that are pretty close to the films or books. That’s just the nature of a remake. And it might even help us connect better with the TV show, seeing things we are already familiar with.
