We talk about the Revolutionary history of Salem--did you know that 150 Salem privateers captured more than 500 British merchant ships, many in the English Channel--and Concord, where on April 19, 1775 the Revolutionary War began. Emily Murphy is the curator at Salem Maritime National HIstorical Parks, and Jim Hollister is a ranger and interpreter, as well as the living history, education, digital media program, and historic weapons co-ordinator at Minuteman National Historical Park.
