Ep. 33 Your Articles of Freedom: Authority, Freedom & Your Rights in Christ | Romans 6

You've declared your faith in Jesus — but have you ratified your articles of freedom? In this episode of the Glorify & Grow podcast, Pastor Thomas Kulp of Horizon Church in Bosque Farms, New Mexico, brings his freedom series to a close by unpacking what it actually looks like to live out the freedom Christ purchased for you.
Using the founding of America as a backdrop, Pastor Thomas walks through the areas every believer needs to settle: authority (who is really in control of your life?), freedom (Jesus died to free you from all sin, not just some), and your rights as a child of God. You'll be reminded that America's freedoms were secured by sacrifice on a battlefield — but our spiritual freedoms were secured by Christ's sacrifice on the cross.
The heart of this message is a list of seven spiritual privileges that can never be taken away — because unlike earthly laws that can be amended and governments that can fall, nothing in all creation can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
In this episode:
– Authority: who's really in control — you, your circumstances, or Christ?
– Freedom: declaring freedom from all sin (John 8:36)
– Your rights as a Christian — seven spiritual privileges that can't be revoked
– Why God's Word never changes, even when laws and nations do
– America's freedom vs. the eternal freedom secured by Christ
Key verse: "Sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace." (Romans 6:14)
