Emeritus Professor Gwen Jull AO Researcher | Educator | Author | Clinician
Physio+10 focuses on the journeys of trailblazing Physiotherapists and today's conversation is with Gwen Jull. Gwen's involvement in Physiotherapy is vas,; undergraduate, Masters, PhD., and Specialisation. Then after completing each, Gwen has pivotal roles in developing and expanding each both at UQ, College of Physiotherapist and internationally with IFOMPT.
Gwen shares her insights and memories into;
- Her role in examining Geoff Maitland for his specialisation
- Why 1975 and the first contact ethic were foundational for the Physiotherapy profession
- The ongoing relevance of her PhD research which involved probably the largest RCT trial for headache in the world (my statement, not Gwen's)
- How our focus on chronic MSK presentations should be to prevent recurrence rather than to quickly resolve the current flare
