Why on earth would you want to roar like a Goddess? You would only if you want to be the best and most enlightened and awakened version of yourself - that's why!
My guest today is Acharya Shunya who embodies all the different aspects of the Goddess Shakti. She is the first female head of her 2,000-year-old Indian spiritual lineage, Shunya reinterprets and recontextualizes ancient teachings for modern times, empowering people everywhere to lead fearless, fulfilled and enlightened lives.
Shunya is the author of three bestselling books Ayurveda lifestyle Wisdom (2017), Sovereign Self (2020) and her newest book i Roar Like a Goddess:Every Woman's Guide to Becoming Unapologetically Powerful, Prosperous, and Peaceful. In this book, Acharya Shunya honors her progressive Vedic roots while breaking the shackles of tradition to bring modern-day women, an inclusive, feminist spirituality.
We talk about why Shunya wrote her book, and my favorite quote is "...so that nobody ever forgets to roar with joy". Our beliefs and hope are so similar in that we want everyone to awaken to the spark within. Shunya gives amazing examples in our podcast and answers questions about the Vedas, our Dharma and how anyone can access their inner Goddess.
Shunya stresses how important it is to give priority to your own dharma, to care for yourself so you can care for others, accomplish what you are meant to and live your best life. She stresses that it is never too late to become who you were meant to be.
We also talk about the four parts of Shakti and what they represent. When we embody all of these pieces we will roar like a goddess.
If you are enjoying Igniting your Spark by listening to these podcasts, I invite you to share, subscribe and comment so we can get sparks lit the world over.
