Today’s guest is a repeat visitor to Ignite Your Spark. Dr. Greg Hammer was on the podcast last year to talk about his book, The GAIN method, and he’s back to share more wisdom with us.
Dr. Hammer is a Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, pediatric intensive care physician, pediatric anesthesiologist and mindfulness expert. Dr. Hammer is also the Chair of the Physician Wellness Task Force for the California Society of Anesthesiologists.
I really love how Dr. Hammer marries the mind and body for optimal healing. As a mindfulness expert and author on the subject, he knows how important the mind body connection is to assist us in living a more joyful and optimally healthy life.
In this conversation we focus on the importance of being non-judgmental. We discuss how prevalent the negativity bias is in our society and how we need to let it go. Through his daily practice, outlined in his book - of Gratitude, Acceptance, Intention and Non-Judgement, we can work to change the neuroplasticity of our brain in order to let go and basically be happier. It is within our power to rewire and reshape the way we think.
Dr. Hammer shares his techniques for letting go of judgement and gives us some great examples from his life on how to do just that.
Shine on and let go of judgement - you will be glad you did!
