Finally, scientific proof that MEDITATION works. I know it, and hopefully you know it, but in today's episode I speak to Dr. Greg Hammer who cites studies that prove our brains can be rewired. And he knows of what he speaks.

I was honored to hold space for this conversation on Ignite Your Spark with Dr. Hammer. He is a pediatric intensive care physician, pediatric anesthesiologist, professor at Stanford University Medical Center, and #1 best-selling author. He is a member of the Stanford WellMD initiative and the Wellness Committee for the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He has also gone through his own cancer diagnoses and the death of his son. He is a remarkable man truly making a difference in the health care arena.

His book,  GAIN Without Pain: The Happiness Handbook  for Health Care Professionals focuses on the four pillars of gratitude, awareness, intention, and non judgment to promote well-being.. The book is not just for health care professionals, but anyone who has been suffering from burnout….hmmm….anyone?

We discuss how important it is to live in the present, and how we, as humans tend to have a negativity bias that we  need to shift and instead embrace a positivity bias. Wait until you hear the studies that prove that we can rewire our brain. You too will be starting a meditation practice if you don’t have one already.

I also  want to share some exciting news with you all. I am now offering Ignite Your Spark coaching. A three month program to assist you in living a happier, more joyful life. We will work together each week for 3 months to help you get unstuck, release limiting belief patterns, open your mind and consciousness to the endless possibilities that are waiting for you.

Please email me for more info, as the details are not yet up on the website, and that may take a minute to get done. It’s ok to be perfectly imperfect right?
