At 19 Linda Pétursdóttir (also known as Linda Pe) was catapulted from her normal life... studying, cleaning fish & spending time with her family in Iceland... into sudden success and international fame. As winner of the Miss World 1988 competition, Linda suddenly became Brand Ambassador for the pageant whose theme is, "Beauty With A Purpose." She was thrust into the international spotlight where she began raising awareness about important global issues that might not otherwise have been given a platform.
Since then, Linda has become a business woman, a Master certified life and weight coach, and earned several degrees & certifications. She's gone through some of the greatest highs and lowest lows that a woman can experience, including becoming a Mom to her cherished daughter Isabella and, later, filing for bankruptcy when the spa and wellness company she'd run for decades ran into financial difficulties.
Linda now helps women lose weight and live their dream lives, offering four courses in Icelandic: a 7-day wellness plan, a 28=day health challenge, a course around stopping overeating, and her signature membership program LMLP. She is also host of a popular podcast called, "Life With Linda Pe."
Linda lives with Isabella and their dogs in Iceland. As a single mother since the beginning, Linda has devoted her life completely to raising her daughter. In this week's episode she speaks at length with Infinite Capacity Podcast host Andrea Morton about celebrity, work, single motherhood and the kind of role model she's worked hard to be for her daughter.
