Armando Cervantes is a successful nonprofit director and events management professional with extensive experience in planning, implementing and leading local, diocesan, regional and national comprehensive youth and young adult programs for nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Youth & Young Adults for the Diocese of Orange.
Currently Armando sits and represents a diverse voice of our community on various boards and through his various works outside the Diocese. He currently sits on two national boards for youth and young adults - NFCYM (National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry) and La Red - the National Network of Pastoral Juvenil Hispana. Three regional boards - Regional Eleven Committee on Spanish Speaking (RECOSS) and Region XI youth directors and the Education Standing Committee for the California Catholic Conference. In addition Armando serves on an international board of Pastoral Ministry/Vocations with the religious order - Company of Mary, Our Lady.
The Joy of the Gospel/La Alegria del Evangelio Podcast provides a top quality content to evangelize, enrich and inspire young Latinos. We aim to be the most-listened to bilingual podcast for young Latinos in the United States. EVANGELIZATION: We are continually challenged to transmit and share "The Joy of the Gospel" with new ways and methods. Through our podcast we aim to spread the joy that comes from knowing and following Jesus Christ. FORMATION: Filling the gap in formation resources specifically for first, second and third generation immigrants, The Joy of the Gospel will produce enriching content, forming listeners through interviews with leaders and experts.
INSPIRATION: Young Latinos will hear the voices of current Latino leaders and relate to tiger stories of overcoming challenges and difficulties. The Joy of the Gospel will inspire them to become the next generation of Latino leaders. Produced by Latinos for Latinos.
