In this weeks news we talk about DJ Jackson Potentially leaving TLI. We talk about BJJ fanatics Brown belt challenge, Yuri Simoes calling out Kyle Snyder. Plus more and even some Judo News.
After that we move into the recap section of the show taking a look at Subversiv 2 featuring team 10th planet vs Team Red Bowie. We break down each team match and go in depth on Joao Miyao vs Geo Martinez. Talking about Unity Eddie Cummings and potentially the effect he has had on the development of the leglock game for that gym and its competitors. After that we recap other aspects of the card. Maine and Emil talk about some flaws with EBI overtime and how the format has lost a bit of its luster over the years. As well as some potential improvements, and specific reasons the OT format has become less interesting to watch over the years.
After that we move into the recap of the undercard for Subversiv 2 talking about the Black belt fight of the night and submission of the night. We also talk about some of amazing Judo matches on the card, and one of the biggest Judo slams we have seen in recent memory.
After that in the preview section of the show we take a look at Fight to Win 118 in Minneapolis, MN headlined by Kennedy Maciel vs Marcio Andre, plus in the co-main event a Bantamweight title match between Jose Carlos Lima (GFT) VS Tomoyuki Hashimoto (CARPE DIEM) and a woman's flyweight title bout between Talita Alencar vs Amanda Montiero.
After that we preview Sub Stars PPV event happing this weekend. With its main event of Dante Leon vs Enrico Coco, co-main event of Joao Miyao vs Marvin Castelle. We also talk at length about Nicky Rod, Nick the Show Pony Rodriguez taking on three competitors including notorious heel hook and leg lock specialist Quinten Rosenzweig. After we preview the event we have an interview with Sub Stars promoter Alex where he explains how sub stars rules came to be, who to what out for on the card, as well as what to expect for future events.
