We talk about the result of Askren Vs. Maia with Damien Maia chanting Jiu Jitsu after the fight. As well as the stacked announced lineup for Spyder Championships. There have been some huge names announced for this one.
In the recap section we kick off the show with Fight to Win 129 in Chicago IL, headlined by Talita Alencar vs Catherine Perret in a matchup that took place mostly on the feet. After that we get into the fire masters 3+ matchup for the Fight to Win Masters + title Mark Vives vs Andre Maneco this match looked nothing like a masters matchup, with flying triangles, and active passing and sweeps. Then we get into an amazing matchup between Isaque Bahinese vs Dante Leon that saw Dante’s outstanding Guillotine skills on display quickly in the match.
In the recap of the Third Coast Grappling Qualifier 2 we talked about Lucas Valente Vs Bill Cooper that saw impressive control and sweeps from Lucas Valente. We also talked about a grudge match between Pedro Marinho Vs Jordan Holy that showed great passing and top control from Pedro and Maine’s favorite Guillotine Pass to the mount.
After that we move into our recap of Rise 8 and Frank Rosenthal’s defense of his 145 title in impressive fashion, we also talk about Ed Abrasley clean Rear Naked Choke Sweep of the 4 man heavyweight tournament for the Heavyweight title at Rise.
Then in the previews section we talk about the Queen of the Mats the UAEJJF AJP first woman’s grand slam showcase that features some of the best woman in the sport, Ana Talita Alencar, Mayssa Bastos, Bianca Basilio, Amal Amjahid , Luiza Monteiro, and Ana Rodrigues all battle it out in a round robin style event to find out who the Queen of the Mat is. This is not one to miss.
Then we move into our preview of Fight to Win 130 in Denver CO, this event is main evented by Tim Spriggs Vs Erberth Santos and will be contested for the Black Belt Heavyweight Title this matchup is sure to be fireworks. Also on the card is Michael Liera Jr, John Combs. A highlight matchup at 130 between Karen Antunes and Tubby Alequin, plus the big men take the stage with Foster Bailey vs Tyler King.
After that in the end of episode discussion Maine and Emil talk about how pro grappling has changed in the past few years and how great it is to see so many events, and so many grappling active on the paid competition circuit.
