Show Notes

On this weeks show Maine and Emil talk about their experience going to Fight to Win 90 live in Philly.  Watching guys like JT Torres, Baret Yoshida, Kristian Woodmansee, David Porter and John Battle was a blast.  We talk about that stand out performances from the event, and how friendly the entire BJJ community is.  After that we get into the inaugural Black Belt CBD Invitational, where we saw three divisions and a superfight between Frank Mir and Forrest Griffin.  Each bracket paid out 30,000 dollars to the winner.  This event featured a historic payout for female grapplers, and huge and equal payouts for the male divisions.  We saw the return of Rodolfo Vieira in the Gi, Mahamed Aly, DJ Jackson, Ana Vieira, and Gilbert Burns, put on a banger of a show for a first time event.  Then we briefly touch on the Sirius Grappling event this weekend, and Marinas Pro in Japan that also took place this weekend.  After all that we move into the previews and big news about us commentating the Submission Arena Grappling Competition, taking place next weekend.  Maine and Emil are excited to bring commentary to the event and its three title belts on the line.  After that we briefly preview Battle Grapple 3, the World Series of Jiu Jitsu 10,000 dollar NY event, and F2W 91 in New Jersey.  It is an action packed week of top quality events, be sure to tune in.  After the show Maine talks a little about what got him into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA, and Emil talk about some great MMA and BJJ shows he is currently listening to.
