This week on the show Maine and Austin recap UFC BJJ 6.
In the recap section of the show we talk about Tye Ruotolo vs Pawel Jaworski, and the One championship catch submission judging system.
After that we recap every match on the UFC BJJ 6 card. We kick off the recap talking about the main event matchup between Mason Fowler vs Pedro Machado we talked about the wrestling and top pressure for Mason and his unanimous decision victory to claim the light heavyweight title.
In the inaugural women's bantamweight championship fight between Cassia Moura vs Ffion Davies we discussed the wrestling from Cassis coupled with the veteran savvy and counter game of Ffion as well as the split decision victory for Cassia to take the phantom weight title.
In Elder Cruz vs Nicky Rodriguez we talk about some of the history of their last match, and how it looked very functionally similar to this match and the weirdness of it ending in a majority draw. We also discuss the dissenting judges decision that is a through point for this entire card.
In Meyram Maquine vs Marcos Mendes we talk about the only submission on the entire card with Meyram winning via armbar in round 2.
In the rematch between Ana Rodrigues vs Jasmin Rocha we talked about another split decision and how weird it is that there are so many on this card this time with Ana bringing her record against Jasmin to 1-2.
In Devhonte Johnson vs Lucas Norat we discussed the unanimous decision for Bones.
In Joao Miyao vs Jussier Formiga we talked about the guard work from Joao and how his sweep game and activity led to him winning by unanimous decision.
We also discussed the card opener of Manuel Ribamar vs Caio Vinicius Santos and how it immediately left us questioning exactly what the score criteria was with Ribimar winning via unanimous decision.
