EYE See You: Aging Under the Eye and What Can We do about It?!??!!!
Show Notes

The eyes are one of the first things we see on a person. They can "say" a lot without one single word spoken.  On a good day, the skin under the eye is smooth, hydrated, tight, with good light reflection, few lines and little puffiness. BUUUUUUT when this area is dry, wrinkled, has darkened skin,  shadowing of the tissues, significant laxity or large pockets of puffiness then one can look fatigued, sad, or unhealthy. In this episode, we discuss the evaluation of these tissues and possible options to address them. The area under the eye may not look as youthful as we’d like because of natural anatomical structures (genetics), typical changes with aging, or environmental injury (ex. sun exposure or smoking causing an increase in free radicals). With over 15 years experience in Plastic Surgery, Katie Allen, PA-C touches on a variety of treatment options such as microneedling, needling with radio frequency, lasers, skin care, filler, and surgery.
