Elizabeth Heath
Retired Chief District Court Judge Beth Heath served 22 years in Greene, Lenoir, and Wayne Counties. She now directs the Community Recovery Division (CRD) of the Greene and Lenoir County Health Departments, a recovery hub integrating public health and the Recovery Together ENC Center. CRD expands access to treatment and recovery services and oversees the 9th Judicial District Recovery Court. Judge Heath led multiple courts, including Domestic, Juvenile, and Accountability and Recovery Courts. Under her leadership, the Family Accountability and Recovery Court (FARC) earned national recognition and federal grants. In 2023, she launched the Adult Accountability and Recovery Court (AARC). She serves on the NC JMARC Advisory Committee and frequently presents on recovery courts and community collaboration.
