“Sport is a great educator,” says Rick DeMarinis, Director of Athletics at The York School. Whether it be developing interpersonal skills and engaging in healthy competition to learning the value of being active and finding a physical outlet that brings you happiness and pleasure (whether it be walking, yoga, strength training, or team sports), there's something for everyone at York. These core values inform the school's rich athletics program. Learn about how York has pivoted during the pandemic and the lessons to be learned from professional coach and Olympic athlete, Shanice Marcelle.
