Having spent his career in the for-profit world, Andy came in with a lot of preconceived notions about both the non-profit world and about people who are homeless in general.
All of his assumptions were crushed once he actually began to see the strength and grit of so many who find themselves homeless due to situations beyond their control. Here we talk about those biases, what it looks like to empower those around us, how to understand situational homelessness around us, and the great work Shelters to Shutters is doing around the country to provide homes and jobs to so many.
