Show Notes Transcript

In this episode I share with you the 3-4 year long process of what it took for me to manifest my dream home in Santa Barbara, CA. There are so many synchronicities and so-called coincidences that totally confirm what I always knew-there is so much more going on than what we see in the physical environment. And the truth is, knowing that and making that work for you changes everything.

So if you really want something and you keep taking actions and not getting what you want, your subconscious and unconscious programming are not on board.  That internal programming is way louder than any conscious goals you might have and it needs to be the priority.

Listen carefully to how I manifested my dream home and all the additional mind work and feelings work I did in the process.  It truly is more about who you are being when you take actions than the actual actions you take.

So pay attention and learn how I manifested something special that I really wanted and then figure out your own process for yourself. We all have one!

And listen to the end to hear about the offer I am making  this week. I also want to extend my offer from last week that if you want to learn how to play pickleball and live in the SB area, I am happy to help you get started. Just message me on FB or email me at mkcoachllc@gmail.com

Listen, I know it's hard to try new things and to become more self-aware  when you prefer to hide the things you don't like about yourself.  But if you keep doing that, nothing will change and you won't be able to manifest what you want.

Try something new and different if what you have been doing is not working.

Speaker 1:

This is Maureen Kafkas, the BrainBS co-chair, to tell you about the episode today. But before I get to that, I want to remind you that the BrainBS podcast is here to offer you a psycho-spiritual approach to life that will inspire you to live consciously and make your overall health a priority. While it can enhance your quality of life dramatically, it is not meant to be a replacement for a needed intervention. So if you are struggling with your physical, emotional or mental well-being, please seek the professional support that you need. Hello and welcome back to the Power of Community and Collaboration in SB podcast. So that's the new name of it. That's where I'm at right now. I it's gonna stick. It's a little bit shorter. I will explain in the description what SB is, but it was just kind of a mouthful having it longer. So again, my word for this year is experimenting. So I'm experimenting with anything and everything, staying in a state of curiosity and seeing what the data collects for me, like what I find out that's working, what isn't working, and going from there. So this week, too, has been kind of exciting because I met with my mentor, tom Phillips, who is with SCORE. He's going to come on the podcast and talk about that, so you'll get to meet him firsthand. But I got real clarity about what I'm trying to do here in Santa Barbara and it really is about communication and community and collaboration. I don't know why I keep wanting to say communication instead of community, but I guess it's important, right. So communication really is at the the core of everything. But so I met with him, got real clarity, had my first event that's going to be happening in here here in Santa Barbara, and I'll be promoting it and talking about it. But it will be an evening with Claudia Chodson, which I think I told you about before, but we actually solidified the date. It will be on June 11th. It'll probably be from 6 to 8 pm. That change might, or that time might change a little bit and then it's going to be at work zones in the Paseo Nuevo mall. It'll be like a little wine and cheese reception and then it'll be an interview with Claudia and a Q&A to follow. So it's very exciting to have my first event planned and to actually know what it's going to be.

Speaker 1:

I talked to you today in the podcast episode about manifesting my home, but I've been manifesting what I'm doing in my business for years now and finally starting to get some clarity with that as well, and so it's very exciting time for me and really excited to do things in person in an amazing community like Santa Barbara here. So I don't think I have, um, I could mention that today's April 8th and I did see the solar eclipse. We're in Santa Barbara, so we didn't get to see um, we didn't get to see it like other people do, so only a part, small part, of it was, but our neighbor had the eclipse um solar eclipse glasses, so we got to see that, so that was kind of fun. Um, I have family in ohio that saw the whole thing in arkansas and they said it just went totally black, which is super cool. Uh, it would have been nice to see that, but it wasn't in the cards for me this year. So I think I think that's it.

Speaker 1:

Is there anything else I wanted to tell you? I don't think. So let's get to that episode, because I'm really excited to share how I manifested my dream home. So let's get to it so that you can start manifesting what it is that you want to. So sit back, settle in for this episode called how I Manifested my Dream Home.

Speaker 1:

Hi, my name is Maureen Kafkas and I'm the Brain BS Coach. When I learned that the average human brain has over 60,000 thoughts a day and that most of them are lies and what I call brain BS, and that they cause needless suffering, I started to learn how to separate the fact from fiction in my mind, and I've never looked back. I truly believe that living consciously, understanding how our brains work and learning to feel our feelings are necessary for an empowering and fulfilling life. I bring my expertise and extensive knowledge to inspire people in the Santa Barbara area and beyond to learn how to live consciously, tap into their personal power and become leaders in their community. Hello and welcome back to the podcast. The new name of the podcast is now the power of collaboration and community, and SB Santa Barbara was a little bit of a mouthful, so the the title keeps getting less and less and more clear about what we're doing here, so I'm excited about that. More clear about what we're doing here, so I'm excited about that.

Speaker 1:

And now we're going to go into the episode today, which is going to be how I manifested my dream home and I actually. This has been quite a process, so I methodically went through the whole process before this and I took notes, so I'm going to be kind of using an outline so that I remember to explain everything in it and how long a period of time this manifesting took and all the different phases of it and the actions necessary, and then how my nervous system had to support every action. So the pre-work, the thought work that's involved in advance, is the first chapter. The pre-work, the thought work that's involved in advance, is the first chapter, so to speak, that we're going to talk about, and that was just letting people know that we were looking for the perfect home, completely finished, with no renovations and an amazing mountain view.

Speaker 1:

Now, the reason for that was because we originally lived in house on the mesa and it had a beautiful, beautiful view of the ocean and the channel islands and it was very difficult to give up that view. But the house wasn't the quality that we were used to and we wanted a bigger, sturdier home where we could have a bigger yard and a pool. So we decided to to move to the San Roque area, which we moved into a beautiful lot it's amazing the guy read in like 70 palm trees, it's a tropical oasis but it no longer had that view. It does have a little mountain view in the backyard that you can see. But so it wasn't. Like you know, we hated our yard and we needed something better. That's not how this worked. This was just well.

Speaker 1:

Okay, universe, if you got something better in store for us, bring it, but we're not going to be actively looking for it. I'm just going to make this easy peasy. I'm not going to be going out looking at houses. I will stay put here for the rest of my life. If this is the plan, if this is what's best for me, I'm sure I'll read the signs and I'll follow my intuition and I'll figure that out.

Speaker 1:

So we just started telling anybody and everybody that was a realtor or anybody who was interested in talking about the topic of views and houses and projects, which a lot of people are when we're older we just shared that, and then it was a lot of patience are when we're older. We just shared that, and then it was a lot of patience and just allowing and trusting the process and completely loving and taking care of our current home, because that's how you maintain a high frequency on a daily basis, right? Not like thinking that there's anything bad about this home or complaining or making it less than because it really is an amazing house that we have here and we will be selling it at some point, but for now we're staying put and we got really clear in this phase of what we wanted. So I wanted an amazing view, but I would not live in a fire zone it just scares me too much Absolutely had to have a ranch home, no stairs. I wanted that indoor outdoor space at the kitchen and living space. That was non-negotiable for me. That because we have that now and I absolutely love it and it's great for entertaining. And then I wanted a major mountain view and I wanted the house that we went into to have an updated swimming pool.

Speaker 1:

So, yes, I did hear back from many realtors that my, my um ask were quite high and that it might be unrealistic and unreasonable. But then I would explain to them I'm manifesting, so it doesn't have to be reasonable. I'm just saying what I want and what I think would be best for us and really enjoying the abundance of the whole thing and not getting caught up in the details or worrying about whether it's going to happen or not, and that that's where we're at right now. So we would get listings from different realtors and honestly, it started to get kind of annoying when they would send me things that I didn't want. In manifesting, you don't focus on what you don't want. You focus on what you want. So when I got houses with that weren't in the budget, that we said, or that had stairs and they didn't have a view or there was no way to have a swimming pool, I would just either unsubscribe from those emails or I would tell the person to stop sending me those pictures.

Speaker 1:

So I was very clear and laser focused at this phase about what I wanted and there was no way because I was trying to start a business and we have a home in Illinois that I was going to get into a big project. I was completely over projects when we started manifesting this and we we did this for years. So this is like a three-year phase that we're talking about here, maybe closer to four that I just started to have this sense in this phase that we're talking about here, maybe closer to four, that I just started to have this sense in this house that we're in, that this isn't the house that we're staying in, but again totally loved it and appreciated it. So then now we're going to get to that's. That's what we did at the beginning of the process, before we even took any actions. The only actions I took was telling people not to send me things we don't want and unsubscribing from emails that weren't paying attention to my request.

Speaker 1:

So the next chapter we're calling the e-bike ride, and Bob and I got these cool new e-bikes from, I think, rad Bikes. Oh my gosh, we love them. They're so much fun and we were going out for a ride on them. It was the first ride actually in those bikes and we were going down Los Pinos Road and we saw that there was an open house and it was a ranch home, so we decided to go in and check it out. Now, as soon as I got into that house, it was a beautiful house, but I knew that wasn't the house that I wanted, because there was no mountain view and I was very clear that any move that we made would not be a lateral move. It would have to be like majorly beneficial to put myself through all that and move into a new house.

Speaker 1:

So when we went to this house and looked at it, we started talking to the realtors there Devin and David, who are with Village Properties and we were joking around and talking with them and Devin was telling us like ways to go on our bike where we could avoid traffic and different things. And so he told us about this ollie and we used it and we just had. You know, we had fun talking to them and shooting a breeze and we were just having a fun day. And then we left there and I noticed on my phone for the first time that you can get bicycle directions for how to navigate on your e-bike without having to deal with highways and really busy main streets and stuff. So I never noticed that feature before and we were really excited about it because we found ways to get over the highway without actually having to be on the highway or on the streets right by the highway. And we were doing this and I said, oh, we should go check out that house that I saw the listing for. And I said, because we can get there now and it's fairly easy.

Speaker 1:

So we started riding over on our e-bikes to check out this other property, knowing that it was not a house that we would ever get because it wasn't what we were looking for, but it had a major mountain view and I told Bob, let's just go and pretend it's our property and that we're sitting in the backyard and then this is what it's going to feel like to have a major mountain view. So he cooperated with my manifesting and we went over and he complained the whole way because he didn't like the neighborhood, he didn't like where we were going. But we got there and we arrived and we went into the backyard and it was a beautiful view. And then that's where we met Sean Poindexter and we started talking. Sean is who I did a Sean experiment with on the podcast here a little while back and we met him and we started talking to him and the Super Bowl was the next day, so we were talking to him, and the Super Bowl was the next day, so we were talking to him about the Super Bowl because he used to be on the roster for the San Francisco 49ers and then he got injured and that kind of put an end to his professional career. So I asked him to come on the Brain BS podcast to experiment with how to deal with all that. Anyway, that day we just started talking and I really liked him and I wanted to support him and connect with him. So I told him yeah, here's my contact information and let's stay in touch and told him what we were looking for, just like I told you I was doing in the first chapter. I was just telling anybody and everybody that I met about that At that point we didn't really meet Tiffany, who is his mentor, because she was busy talking to someone else when we were talking to Sean.

Speaker 1:

So we ended up sharing that with him and then I didn't see him. But then he sent me a listing for a home and it had stairs and I said, said, please do not send me any homes with stairs anymore. And he was like laugh out loud, okay then, and I'm like, I'm serious, don't send me things I don't want. It's annoying, just send me, you know, when you hear about things that I would like. So then we got, uh, our first notification. So this is the next chapter, house notifications. We got our first notification. So this is the next chapter, house notifications. We got our first notification that there was a house. Oh gosh, I can't remember the area, but it's, it's above the mesa, it's. It escapes me right now. Anyway, we went to look at a house there that Tiffany was the agent for and maybe her partner I think her partner's name name is Kathy. So we went to this house and we call it the Miami Vice House because we felt like we could never live in this house because it was kind of fancy schmancy, um, but it was beautiful and it had a beautiful view and really nice, but it just kind of it wasn't our style. So after we left there we were like, no, oh it bell knolls. It's bell knolls area, um, I think that's a name all right. So anyway, we ended up, um, not really liking that house for us. But we got to know tiffany better and was chatting with her and and Tiffany and I started talking about numerology and and all these different things like from a spiritual nature, and I told her about my podcast at the time that was called the brain BS podcast and told her what that was about reprogramming your subconscious and we were talking and and laughing and I told them that we're kind of swingers, that even though Bob and I have a monogamous relationship, we're not in a monogamous relationship with a realtor. So whoever finds the house for us is our realtor, and that's how I look at it. And also I'm inviting Sean and Tiffany to come on the podcast to talk about all the brain BS around buying a house and we'll, we'll, we'll cover all that um when we do that. But it's I trust my intuition about everything and that's how I make every decision in my life, so that's why I gave Sean my information. That's why I went to this house to look at this and started talking to Tiffany and I really liked her right away and I really liked Sean too. So then I was still in the same place, though I was like, okay, we went and saw one patio and we saw the mountain view, we saw the house on Los Pinos, and then we saw this, this other house that those guys were doing an open house on, and that was the extent of our searching for a home or going to look at any properties. And then it was about a week later that I got a text from Sean and he sent a picture of a house that was going to be going on the market in a couple days and it was in an area. I'm going to keep the address private because my husband's a private person, so I want to keep that in the details of what we did to get the address private because my husband's a private person, so I want to keep that in the details of what we did to get the house, like financial details. I'm not going to talk about those here, but you'll understand just how amazing it is that we got this house, so I will give you enough details for you to get that. So we ended up. He told me that and I'm like, oh my God, is that the house? I think it is, because there's a house it's over by Triangle Park. It's a house that I walked by every day and we looked at when we first came to the area to find a house before we got Rock Creek, and I said if that house ever becomes available, we have to go for it. We've got to go for it, but I'd ever, you know. You know, it's just one of those things. I didn't know if it would ever happen or not, but I just knew that that that house was on my radar. So when he sent me that, I was like, oh my god, that's um, that's the house. So I got my car and I drove over there to make sure it was the house that I thought it was and it was was. So I told Bob and I'm like, oh my God. And I told John too I'm like, oh my God, we need to go see that house. I want to go see that house and the whole house was being sold by a trust and they had very rigid, strict rules for how they were doing it and they weren't going to let anybody in early and they were only going to do an open house and they weren't accepting any offers until after the open house. They wouldn't even look at them, and so it was very, um, very strict and very rule-ish. So I drove by again and I went into there's a a gate that opened on this side. I saw stagers there and stuff. So there was people working there. But off to the far right side there was a gate there. So I walked back so I kind of got a little glimpse of the backyard and I was like, oh my god, that looks amazing. But it wasn't enough for me to know, like about the kitchen layout or the family room or how that goes with the patio. So my hopes were getting higher, but I still wasn't sure. So then the next day, so then they did end up changing their mind because so many people were interested in this house, so they did start doing viewing appointments a little earlier. So we were one of the first people to go in and see it but wasn't so. That was on Tuesday and we were supposed to go in there on Thursday. And I kept saying on Tuesday. I kept saying, well, when we go there tomorrow. It was so crazy because my subconscious programming was like we're going on Wednesday, not Thursday. And sure enough, the realtors called and said we could go in on Wednesday instead of Thursday. It was like I dictated that sort of. I created that with my programming and my energy. So we went over. I still went over that the day later in the day and the gardeners were at the house. I just kept driving over to this house to look at it and, just like I, it just all seemed surreal that it was happening. And I would look at the house and I saw gardeners and I'm like, oh, I wonder if they'll let me in the backyard so I can see if I should really be getting excited about this house or not. And I talked to them and they had trouble understanding English, but apparently they didn't find me a threat. They had trouble understanding English, but apparently they didn't find me a threat. So they allowed me to go into the backyard and look at it and it was amazing. And the living space, the kitchen and the family room absolutely came off into the backyard. It was like my dream for those, big open by folding doors. And so I saw it and Bob was with me and as soon as I saw it I started jumping up and down and said, oh my God, this is going to be our house, this is for sure going to be our house. And Bob's like, well, stop it, stop it. Like he kept trying to reel me in and telling me not to get all excited because he didn't want to see me get disappointed. But that's where we put limitations on ourselves. That's why you have to kind of look at it all as like a game and it's fun and you're just going to go for it and stay in that energy of like it's a done deal, it's mine, and then if you're not supposed to have it, the universe isn't going to give it to you. So no harm, no foul. If you trust the process, the disappointment is not going to be that big of a deal. And one thing I know for sure as I get older getting more comfortable with disappointment is a good skill to acquire. So another thing that I noticed when we were there is. I went over to the pool that was done like in 1957, I think, and I don't think they've done any work on it since then and there was a mermaid at the bottom of the pool, like a stone mermaid, like a mosaic. I loved it, Um, and it made me, uh, it made me just like, um, it made me want to keep that mermaid, but that's a different story because Bob it made me want to keep that mermaid, but that's a different story because Bob is not on the same page as me with that. So after we saw it, before we even got into the house, right, I was like, oh my God, I got to have this house, we got to go for this house. So I came home and I started writing down on a piece of paper that I live at this new address. Over and over again on pages of it I just kept saying I live here, I live at such and such address. And then I wrote a letter to myself from my future self who thanked me for getting the home and she talked about all the things that I did to get that home and how much she appreciated it that I stayed in that abundant energy and I kept taking actions and that's how I kind of figured out exactly what I had to do while I went and I knew I had to manage my mind vigilantly to maintain a high frequency because I would start to get really excited or nervous or fear of disappointment and then I just had to keep coming back to it. So the one day when I was really stressed, I was walking and I came up with a mantra that I really, really, really want this house, but I don't need it and I really felt that in my bones. I believed it in my body. So I was able to stay in excitement, but not attached to the outcome, and stay in that, in that energy, intentionally. And then I went to the house every day and kept imagining living there and what it was going to be like. I talked to people in my mind who lived there before I got to know them and learn about them, and I trusted that everything would happen exactly the way it was supposed to. I started thinking about all the things I wanted to do to that house, like tearing down the walls, pushing some others out the whole place needs gutted and I fell madly in love with this home even before I got into it, which is kind of hilarious because, if you recall, I was manifesting a house that did not require any work and instead I got a house that requires a massive amount of work. But this is what I'm talking about when I say that you go after something, you stay in abundance and then you trust the process and you trust the universe that they always have something better in store for us. She always has something better in store. So I trust, I trust all that Right. So now we're at open house day, the first day of open house. They had it Friday, saturday and Sunday and I went every day and I was warned by Tiffany that it could be stressful going in there and seeing other people who want your home and I. So I knew, and I knew I had to manage my mind around it. This is when I heavily researched the people who lived in that house, the extended family. I learned that the women who lived there died there in that house, with her daughter caring for her, and that it was a home that was filled with a lot of love, a lot of family, and you can feel the energy. I learned that the, the grandpa, the father who was in that house was the, the father of, like you know, the adult children and stuff that he was a spiritual person and I could kind of feel that when I went in the house. So I I learned that. I learned that one of the grandkids is the lead singer in a rock band. I learned it's like I just love learning about the house I'm trying to go into and that I'm moving into. I did this with my house in Illinois as well, because there was an older woman that lived there who ended up to a skilled nursing facility and dying shortly after. But it was the same type thing. I just love the energy of both the houses. And then on Saturday of the open house I ran into Uncle Bernie, who was the woman who died there's brother-in-law, and I talked with him and really enjoyed chatting with him. He was like super puzzled by the way they staged the house and said this isn't how we did it. We put the picnic tables in the middle and the other side was too hot and explained why they did everything the way they did, that he had gotten married in that backyard like 60 years ago and that none of the trees were there then, so it was massive mountain views. Did I happen to mention the mountain view? Oh my God, there's a major, major mountain view. The backyard is absolutely spectacular and it's so calming and peaceful, even when it needs to be redone and the pole needs refinished all of it needs to be redone it's still unbelievably beautiful in that backyard. So he's telling me all these stories and I just like, and I told him if we end up getting this house, you can come back and see it, although I'm not sure he'll want to, because I don't think a lot of people like it. You know when they're used to something a certain way and then you change it, but I, of course, I would always welcome anybody in that family that wanted to come and see the house. So we, I did that. And then on Sunday, when I was at the open house, I was sitting in the living room on the couch next to a woman and we were talking and I was feeling very competitive, which is not the frequency that I wanted to be in, but I couldn't deny it. I was feeling competitive and worried about this person next to me. So, who knows, maybe she was one of the people that made an offer on the house, but I ended up talking to her and then the way that I felt better was by sharing all the stories that I learned and all the stuff that I learned about the house and and really connecting with the people who are at the open house and making friends and chatting, and I actually came to the conclusion that I should be a realtor. If I ever decide not to be a podcaster and doing what I'm doing now, it would be fun, like really being a realtor is creating relationships. And so I ended up feeling much better when I started sharing stories and I said to this woman you know, I really, really want this house, but I don't need it, and I'm sure if somebody else needs it more than I do, then they'll be the ones to get it. And she agreed with me. So I don't know, I would love to know if that woman is one of the people who made an offer on the house. I'm not sure, but so another thing that we opened we noticed then was the realtors, which I didn't tell you this. The realtors were Devin and David, the same guys that we met on the same day that we met Tiffany and Sean, 30 minutes apart from one another. So we never saw the four of them before in our lives. And then, all of a sudden, we're at this open house and Tiffany and Sean are with us when we go to our private viewing, and then Devin and David are the ones who are selling the house. So of course, that made me totally think oh, of course it's Devin and David and Sean and Tiffany, and of course we met them on the same day and we're going to get this house. The universe is totally taking care of us. This is all going to work out just fine. So we, we do all that. And then it turns out like at the open house, there was over a hundred people and and so I was like I, I didn't know. I really didn't know what was going to happen, but I was trying. I was still maintaining the same energy and trying to stay in that all right. So now the next chapter is the offer. So the offer had strict rules, like I said, and you can only make them after the open house was completed, and they wanted to close as quickly as possible because it was an emotional sale for them, and so we needed to be really, really come in if we really wanted it, with a very clean, easy offer, and we had to go well above the asking price, which you could tell by the way they priced. It was the plan, because it was very obvious this was going to be a competition to get this house. This was a house that was very sought after and I talked to so many people who coveted the house the same way that we did, so I knew that it was. Um, it wasn't like you know, when you go to make an offer and you try to come in under asking that you'd even have a chance because, yeah, no, you wouldn't have a chance. So they ended up getting nine offers for the house and when we were deciding how much to make for the offer, it was a little daunting and a little scary because we had never spent that kind of money on a house before. But we absolutely loved this house and it definitely felt like the correct one. So we, we did it. We made the offer. It was exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. Not totally nerve-wracking as much for me because of managing my mind and understanding my energy and how my brain works, but I think it was a little more challenging for my husband. So we made it and then we ended up. They countered to three of us. So we got a counter offer and two other people. Well, the one person did the um, one person dropped out because they tapped out and their terms were very similar to ours. So with them tapping out, um, that that's a door open for two others. So this is where I think the brain bs really comes in and a little bit of manipulation, if I'm honest, like the lack of transparency when you're making a counter offer to a house, like how much do you, how much should you? It's like a crap game or um, you know gambling. Like you should go high, or how high do you go? Or how low do you go, and if you go high, are you going to be paying way over what you needed to? I just really don't like the way the process works and I want to talk to Tiffany and Sean about that on the podcast here. But in this moment, with the way the rules are now, we couldn't talk and we wouldn't know what the other people's offer was. So we had to go based on Tiffany's recommendations and Sean's and my intuition, and my intuition was spot on with what they recommended. So it was. I mean, I got to tell you a few years ago, I would have not had a nervous system to support what we were doing. It would have been too scary, too overwhelming, and it would have just terrified me. I wouldn't have been able to do it, because not only do you have to be bold and take actions, you have to be able to receive the upgrade, you have to live with the upgrade of what you're doing. It's a, it's a really big deal. That's why so many people who win the lottery end up losing all their money because their nervous system cannot support them keeping it. So we, we did that, we did the counter, and then Tiffany said I think we you should write a letter too. So I was like, okay, I think that's a great idea. So I wrote a letter, uh, to the, to the trust, primarily to the daughter, because she was the one that took care of her mother, and I um, talked to her about how special the house is, how much I love it, the energy of it, how special the house is, how much I love it, the energy of it, that I know what it's like to care for your mom at the end of her life, and and the bond that exists there and how you know. That like really resonated with me how I ran into Uncle Bernie and he told me about the family traditions. And so here, at the end of the day, I don't really know if my letter had any impact on them, but I know it had an impact on whether we got the house or not, because after we made our counter and again we had to go, we had to aim high. After I made the, after we made the counter and I'll tell you a little bit more about the, how we came to that amount, um a minute. But after I wrote the letter, I was at peace. We had made it, we picked our offer, we made our counter and I was totally at peace. So if they came back and countered again, we were going to be done. I a thousand percent. I felt complete. So I was able, because I wrote that letter and I said everything I had to say and I felt like I did everything that I could to try to make this happen that either we were going to get it and I was going to be able to talk about how I manifested this home, or we weren't going to get it and we were somehow dodging a huge bullet. So now, in terms of the offer. We came to an amount that I envisioned at the beginning was what it was going to be, and Tiffany was on the same page. And then she said now I want you to, um, like, is there a number that you like, cause she's in a numerology. So I ended up adding up the dates of my mom's birthday was when we first made an offer, and then the date of when the closing was supposed to be, and then I multiplied it by two and I came up with 34. I don't know why I didn't make add three and four and make it seven. Um, I just didn't. I did 34. So we came in with our offer and then we added $34 to the end of it. Well, guess how much money we got our house by? Yep, $34. Our bid was $34 higher than the other person who tried to get it. Can you imagine if they're listening to this podcast and they find out that they lost by $34? I actually think our terms were a little bit cleaner too, and a little bit shorter closing, but at the end of the day we paid $34 more. So it was good that we came in at the number that we did. We didn't pay way over what we needed to pay, so we lucked out in a major way, but again, that's where I think there should be more transparency in the process. So now here we are it's April 8th as I'm recording this, and guess who? Has a major renovation, because the universe had something way better in store for me. So not only did I not want a renovation, I thought that I needed all my time to be present and to be able to focus on my business. But now I've changed my podcast and it's all about collaboration and community in Santa Barbara, which is how I got that house and it's how we're going to do a renovation. So it's actually perfect because it all it's my personal life and my professional life coming together in a beautiful way that's going to include a lot of the community members of Santa Barbara, so it's really exciting. It's also really teaching me to stay present in the moment and trust the process at another level like I never have before, because we have to get permits and we have to wait and we have to get. We have to sell our house in Illinois. We're going to end up having to sell our house here in Rock Creek. We have to, you know, do a major renovation at this house and then I'm, you know, trying to do this business. It's just like there are some nights where I wake up and I'm like, omg, there is a lot going on. And every time I do that I just come back to the present moment. I come back to the present moment, I wiggle my toes and my fingers and I say I'm so grateful that everything's working, that I have my health, that in this present moment I don't have anything that I have to do, and I will continue to stay organized and continue to take actions and I will figure out and get clarity, one little step at a time. I do not have to have clarity now about anything except the next step. And learning to live like this is going to be so beneficial because we never know what life has in store for us. That includes, like amazing, exciting, fun events and very sad tragedies that can happen in on the flip of a dime. So really being able to stay present in the moment and see and focus on what you have and not have, and stay in that abundance energy means everything. It means everything because, yes, we got the house, but if I don't maintain the frequency of what I maintain to get the house, then I'm not going to hold on to the house. That's how energy works, universal law. So universal law was handy in terms of law of attraction, knowing law of polarity, that sometimes you think that you want something and the universe gives you something else. Like I didn't pray, please give me the house, please give me the house, because I thought, well, I'll get the house if it's the thing for me to do. I know now about law of polarity and there's always good and bad in every situation, and if it's not good for us to get it, we're not going to get it, and that's okay. It's all about trust, trust, divine timing and, um, living consciously and staying in the present moment. So, um, now I want to talk to you about my offer that I have for you, because at the end of every podcast episode now I'm going to be making an offer and I'm going to be interviewing people who live in Santa Barbara and who do things also online. So you don't have to live here to take advantage of the offers that will be presented you at the end of each episode. And today you especially don't, because today's offer is me reminding you of the Mastering Brain BS for Success course that's waiting for you on my website. All you have to do is go to the homepage of the website, but I'm actually going to put the link in the show notes so you could go there and then you click on that and you'll sign up for my Brain BS updates in my weekly email. That sends you the episode directly to your mailbox in my weekly email. That sends you the episode directly to your mailbox. And and then you'll get an automated email that will give you access to the course. Now, the course is about 10 modules. The modules are 10 minutes a piece. There is a pretty detailed workbook in there that I highly recommend doing, because writing really helps you to figure out what's going on in your brain. But you don't't have to. Yeah, you had to figure out how your brain works, how you learn what's best for you, but that course is the foundation of how I got everything I wanted. It's a course of being able to live consciously, trust myself to make all the decisions, trust timing, allow for things instead of push for them, being able to stay in abundance instead of scarcity. But it requires diligence, repetition and a commitment to this lifestyle, but, as you can see, it pays off in major ways. So I hope you learned something here today about manifesting and that you figure out your own process. And if you want to go to my website and schedule a connection, call with me to talk about something you're trying to manifest, or maybe do a brain BS experiment on the podcast about how to get what you want and get a little help with that, I would be all about that. So you can email me at mkcoachllc at gmailcom. You could go to the website and schedule a call or you could message me on Facebook, however you want to do it. So I plan to end the episode right here, but I took a break from editing the podcast and I was in the pool swimming with Bob and he said he looked a little uncomfortable. And he said I heard you recording in there and you were talking about how amazing the view is in our backyard. Do you think people really want to hear you talking about how great our house is? And I said the people who care about me do. And he said well, you know, just, it just kind of seems I'm like do you think I'm bragging? And he said no and he wasn't sure what to say. So I wanted to address that here because, if that's your take on this, you have a little bit of work to do Because this is so much bigger than me. This is a process that I'm trying to teach you. It's a way of life. Living consciously goes way back. It's certainly not me who came up with the idea or my personality. This is like way bigger than me. And, yes, learning the process and you get what you want in life. It's fun, it's amazing and, yeah, I'm going to celebrate it. I don't need to accommodate myself or make myself small for anyone anymore. I spent the majority of my life doing that. So now I'm being open, honest and authentic and I'm celebrating my accomplishments and I'm sharing the process with you so that you'll get to celebrate accomplishments too. So now I'm ready to end the episode. I know you learned something valuable here today. I'll see you next episode. Hope you enjoyed the podcast today as much as I enjoyed creating it for you. If you're inspired, I appreciate a five star review and sharing podcasts with anyone you know so that I can have a bigger ripple effect, and sharing podcasts with anyone you know so that I can have a bigger ripple effect on people around me, and you can too, if you want to learn more about me, you can go to wwwthebrainbscom and you can schedule a connection call with me or sign up to be a part of a BrainBS experiment.
