It's that time of year again where the music festival scene is about to set off, and EstoBro had to have the podcast's very own Devors back on the show to talk about it. The show begins with the pair discussing the scientific study of what actually a "wook" is from the biggest example they observed in the wild. After salutations and greetings, EstoBro and Devors just jump right in with discussing all things EDM in this week's episode (10:30). The pair discuss the major music festival that they are gearing up for soon with Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival. The festival will be celebrating its fifth anniversary running after being revived twice, followed by talking other major music festivals in Florida including Ultra Music Festival (27:15), the inception of Thunder Beats in Pensacola (32:15), and Sunset Music Festival which is Tampa's very own EDM festival held every year (36:00). Devors has a major concern with EDC Las Vegas not dropping their line-up with the festival less than 100 days away (41:10) before talking about other music festivals making the scene in the area. With the show being recorded during the peak of Black History month, EstoBro wants to take the time to point out where EDM gets its natural roots from. He wanted to give homage to the late Frankie Knuckles, the "Godfather of House Music" (45:20), and discuss the major impact he had to house music and the culture that transpired to EDM today. Devors also mentions other inspirations of music that have trickled into EDM (55:00) with other genres that come from the South with jazz and blue. Finally, the show comes full circle to mention Devors on his debut episode (58:50) when he was featured on "Bicycle Day" which was a hit episode for the podcast. The topic of psychedelics leads to EstoBro to educate Devors about a young man who was under the influence of mushrooms winning a Magic the Gathering tournament that happened not too long ago. Devors being a true contributor to the podcast's project, we look forward to his future contributions with the EstoBro TV Podcast as the show gets more involved in EDM culture.
