Show Notes

EstoBro and TV begin the Diamond episode of the podcast with an enabling question on what misplaced celebrity, dead or alive, would be a great feature for a commercial or television show. After a few jabs at the prompt, the Gents celebrate the career of Jaleel White (7:10) who is reprising his signature role of Steve Urkel in collaboration with the legendary Snoop Dogg for his new marijuana brand, "Purple Urkel." After a few good chuckles, TV inquires if EstoBro has seen Thor: Love and Thunder yet (16:00), which to his surprise that he has not. ***SPOILERS*** TV insists to his co-host that he waits until it becomes stream worthy, because of the state of MCU films in the current phase they are storytelling has become lackluster. The Gents both relay to the audience that the pattern of superhero films in Hollywood 'go with the flow' and how the anticipation for future projects will return bigger and better than ever! EstoBro inquires a great deal of information about the popular shooting game Fortnite (32:35) from TV, before making the announcement of Dragon Ball skins are coming to the game this autumn.  The segment is interrupted with TV defending LeBron James once more (40:15) with EstoBro criticizing the basketball great for all his accomplishments, before turning the attention to the results of The Open. With the 150th anniversary of the tournament being held at St. Andrews in Scotland, Cameron Smith upsets Rory McIlroy on the final day of the tournament to capture his first career major win. The focus of the episode is turned to the Home Run Derby of the MLB All-Star Game (52:20), with TV calling his absolute best shot with Juan Soto winning the tournament. EstoBro also wants to point out the dramatics that will follow the star since he officially declined an extension with his current team: the Washington Nationals.
