That’s all my parents ever say

Learn these notes, your scales, this cord.
Don’t they know I’m just so bored?

Practice, Practice every day,
When all I want to do is play.

Not piano or guitar,
But at the pool where my friends are.

Not the violin or flute,
But at the court where I can shoot.

Not the drums or digeridoo,
But at the beach, the park or zoo!

Practice, Practice every day.
I’m sounding better I must say.

But still, I really want to quit.
For this I truly am unfit.

Can’t you hear it? Don’t you see?
I am no music prodigy,

Practice, Practice every day.
My recital went quite well, no way!

I played the notes, the scale the cord.
The audience did not seem bored. 

They clapped real hard when I was done.
This music thing is kind of fun.

Practice, Practice every day
Alright. You win. You’re right. Ok? 

I love to practice, but just one tweak? 
Let’s make it just three days a week.
