What if your Reiki business already exists — would you like to meet it?
In this podcast & Reiki share, Pam Allen-LeBlanc and her daughter Kathleen sit down for an honest, reflective conversation about Reiki, business, and growth.
Together, they explore the idea that your Reiki business has its own spirit, timing, and intelligence — and that many of the challenges practitioners face arise when we stop listening.
Pam brings her MBA along with decades of experience as an internationally known Licensed Reiki Master Teacher, author of The Reiki Business Book, and business owner, while Kathleen brings her MBA and offers her perspective as a Reiki Master, yoga teacher, and management consultant with a background in copywriting and business strategy.
Their conversation weaves lived experience, practical insight, and generational perspective, offering listeners a glimpse into how they work together.
The podcast touches on the different phases of a Reiki business — starting and growing — and why each phase requires different kinds of support. Rather than offering formulas or quick fixes, Pam invites listeners into a guided experiential practice drawn from The Reiki Business Book: an opportunity to meet the spirit of your Reiki business and listen for what it may be asking of you now.
We invite you to slow down, reconnect, and relate to your Reiki business as a living partnership — one rooted in integrity, clarity, and trust.

Hi, and welcome to the Reiki from the Farm Podcast, brought to you by me, Pam Allen LeBla from Hidden Brook Farm. I am a scientist, a businesswoman, and a licensed Reiki master teacher with the International Center for Reiki training. Each week in this podcast, you'll be entertained as you learn about a wide variety of relevant Reiki topics helping you become a more knowledgeable and effective Reiki practitioner. We caution you though this podcast may also dramatically improve your life. And we are so happy that you're here.
Pam:So welcome everyone to this month's Reiki share and this week's podcast with me. I have my daughter, Kathleen LeBla. Welcome Kathleen.
Kathleen:Thank you for having me.
Pam:And we're here to talk about your Reiki business today and just what that means. And, the business is different for everyone and Kathleen and I are both business people and she recently finished her MBAI finished my MBA and she was five weeks old at my graduation and I actually did my grad pictures with her in my arms. And and yet even with that background, it was very difficult for me to start a Reiki business. I was nine years getting comfortable with it and and so I really want to shorten. That timeline for you guys. I don't want it to be nine years of you getting comfortable with it. And so we've got something today that may help. And we'll also let you know about an upcoming six month coaching program that we have to help people with different aspects of your business. And we've actually got two different coaching programs. One, if you're starting your business and one if you're growing it. And so if that makes sense to you today I hope you'll join us and we will be taking us through. Actual meditations and so on. Ah, thank you, Susan. We're just, I had everybody put in the chat ahead of time what the biggest challenges are, and there, as I'm reading them it's so common for all of us. So I'm just really excited to share this with you. And whether you join us in the courses or just join us today, it doesn't matter. I think that just do what whatever's best for you. But I think we wanna leave you with some tools today and just some information and ideas of how to go forward. And then if it does make sense for you to take a deeper dive and have that little bit of extra help, then we're going to be there for you because nobody should be nine years with an MBA and lots of business background, getting comfortable putting business and Reiki together. So guys, before we go too far, I just wanna let you know about some of the things that we have coming up in at Reiki from the farm or here March 28th and 29th. Tracy and I are teaching healthcare Reiki in person in Connecticut as well as online. And so if healthcare Reiki is something you've been curious about please join us. We are noticing that it has a huge impact, the level one and two class on our own health. Whether we need help physically, which is where it's really been helping me or mentally, which Tracy says that's where she's really been getting a lot of help or even emotionally or spiritually whatever. People need. There's just a better understanding of health and really we all find that we're very much stepping into better health all the way around. So if that speaks to you, we'd love to have you join us at the end of March, I also have one of those classes, a healthcare Reiki online class this weekend. Animal communication for Reiki practitioners, followed by Level one and two, level three and master. I'm teaching between 11 April 11th to 17th, so the level one and two classes over the weekend. And the professional practitioner and masterclass are online over a few evenings. We also have a holy fire level one and two and Masterclass April 25th and. Till the 29th. So you can do just the one and two, just the master or both. And those are both online and in person at the farm. And I don't teach a lot of master classes in person, but if you've been waiting or wanting to attend, and in person masterclass, there's one. In April of the farm and again in August in Campobello. Those are the only two that I really teach in person all year. We also have animal Reiki one and two, May 2nd and third, and the master training is online over four evenings, the following two weeks. And it also in September next year, I will be in Hong Kong teaching. We're heading to Africa for some classes very soon, which I can't wait to tell you about. I'm ridiculously excited about it. And we'll do my best to try to share lots of photos and information when we get back. And so we'd love to have you join us for any of that. So guys, tonight we're talking about meeting the spirit of your Reiki business. And this is a concept that I became aware of through an article of Colleen Benellis actually. But first I just wanna welcome you all and I wanna talk about the inspiration both for my Reiki business book, for helping people with your businesses, and for the next book that Kathleen and I are working on right now. So basically it did take me a long time to, even though personally I have a science degree and then I studied part-time to finish my MBA or Master's in Business Administration. I was working with the government at the time. And I wound up in a really interesting position with the government where I was leading trade missions all over the world. I was leading companies from New Brunswick. We were bringing back millions of dollars in trade. It was going extremely well. But I got tired of working for the government and I was in such a high profile position that a lot of the companies and a lot of other government organizations were offering me jobs. And at one point I found myself expecting my third child and with seven job offers, and I took the job offer with a company that was having a hard time keeping their doors open and had to downsize. Our first meeting was who do we lay off and how do we keep the doors open? And it took a while. But within about three or four years, I'd grown that company to be the third fastest growing company in Atlantic Canada. And then we spun out another company called that was Precision Metalworks. We did it was a, an advanced manufacturer. Not a lot of you know this, so I'll tell you a little bit about that. We worked with NASA and Oakridge National Labs and Lawrence Livermore National Labs and the Princeton Plasma Physics laboratory and solar companies and semiconductor companies. And the components that we built were to a really extreme level of quality, actually a leak in our, we built vacuum chambers and a leak in our vacuum chamber. The size of a human hair was a huge leak. In fact, in inaccuracy the size of a fifth of a human hair, that was about as, as inaccurate as we were able to get in what we did, and we were really good at it. And then we spun off a company to do to build class one nuclear components. And so it was a really big deal, and we did really well until we lost an$18 million contract and we just couldn't survive that. And when that happened I did some deep introspection because I was working all the time. I didn't, I traveled and and worked, and I loved what I did. I loved my boss, I loved my coworkers. I really enjoyed it, but I really wasn't home. As much with the kids as I want it to be. And I don't know if you remember this, Kathleen, but when we lost that contract, you were 11 years old and I was home for about two weeks and you came over and wrapped your arms around me and you said, mommy, it's really nice to have you home, and you just broke my heart a little bit. And I said you know what I am. I had some other job offers that people were reaching out with and I just said, you know what, I'm not gonna do that. I'm not gonna jump right back into that. I wanna be home more for my kids. I had a farm with horses and things that I loved, and so I talked to a few people and I decided to start a business. Cons. I also realized I didn't have anything to prove to anybody anymore. I was in more magazines and newspapers than I care to mention and. For what we had done with that company. And so I decided that I could stay home and start my own business. So I started a business consulting business and I charged scandalous rates and nobody had any difficulty paying them, but I knew I was gonna have to pay a lot of bit of tax. So I also was teaching horseback riding because I've been a horseback riding instructor since I was 15. And I thought, I'm losing money over on that business. If I put the two of them together, I'll have to pay less income tax. So that's what I did, and it should have been great. But then my health failed, and that's when I discovered Reiki and eventually decided that I didn't, that, that the business consulting didn't feed my soul and the Reiki did. I'm very passionate about it. I love it. I love sharing it with people. And and so I decided to start teaching Reiki and give up the business consulting and the rest is history. I never expected to grow a six figure business doing Reiki. I never expected to write books. I never expected to write courses that wasn't the intention. The intention was always just to be of service and how can I be of service? How can I help people? How can I help people the most? And then, I think some of you know this story, but I will repeat it for those who don't. In March of 2020, and most of us remember March of 2020, I had gone to England to teach a course, even though Reiki told me not to. The guidance told me not to. And after the course of course the borders were closing and everything was shutting down due to COVID. And my husband was, we were FaceTiming as I was waiting in line to see if I could get my flights changed. I wasn't supposed to come home until the following week, but obviously that, the borders were going to be closed and that was going to be, flights were being grounded. It was going to be a problem. We he was he was freaking out and he said, how are you so calm right now? And I realized it was Reiki. And I looked around and I realized, oh my goodness, I'm the only calm person in this, in Heathrow airport right now. And I remembered something that some of, I've heard some of my colleagues say that I thought was quaint and cute, but also not practical. And it was, I heard Shelly Meyer. I heard Colleen Benelli say, my dream is for every family to have a Reiki practitioner in it. And I looked around at the chaos and the concern that was all around me, and I went there, every family does need a Reiki practitioner for times like these. And then I immediately became overwhelmed because I thought, I'm just one teacher. How can I teach? How can I have even an impact on that? And energetically, I heard very clearly, you may be just one teacher, but you've done over a thousand extra hours of training to become a licensed Reiki master teacher with the ICRT, the largest Reiki organization in the world, and one of the most well-respected. And it said. And not only, so you are in a position of leadership, and not only that, business and you have an MBA and it still took you two years with a website saying under construction and nine years to get comfortable bringing business together with Reiki. Can you imagine if somebody didn't have that background, how difficult it would be, or it must be for them? And I, I knew that was true. And immediately I heard you are to teach the teachers. So I came home, I started a Reiki master mentor course, which immediately felt some of you attended it. It was 18 months. And in that first course I said, wow, you guys we're gonna write a book about this. And that became the Reiki business book, which has helped thousands of Reiki practitioners around the world start their Reiki businesses. Now I had to set it all aside for a couple of years because Reiki had guided me to run for politics and God loved Kathleen. She was my campaign manager for one of the campaigns and did a bang up job at that. She was fantastic.
Kathleen:A lot harder than it sounds guys.
Pam:Very hard. So is being the candidate.
Kathleen:Yeah,
Pam:definitely. And when the candidate is a head is your headstrong mother. I think it's actually really hard to be a campaign manager.
Kathleen:We made it. We did it.
Pam:We did it. And we're still it didn't wreck our relationship.
Kathleen:No. Not at all. We still work together. That's a good thing.
Pam:Yeah, it was hard though. And but now it just, it really occurs to me that the world is in a place where it needs more of you. It needs more of you out there sharing Reiki, spreading Reiki. And my goal with the book and with our coaching programs and so on is to give you a way to to get your businesses going and so that we can reach and help more people. The more of you that are out there sharing this the better. So I'm just that was way more than I meant to say, but I'm just so glad that you are all here. Kathleen agreed. She's just finished. She's a brand new MBA, actually, and she, we did teach some business courses in the past and they were really good and we loved them, but what we learned from them is that people need a, we really threw so much at people and then we left them to unpack it on their own and we went back and revisited it and said, if we're gonna do something again this time to help people, what we'd like to do is stretch it out over six months so that. It's so that people don't get overwhelmed and so that, we can give really clear homework assignments and if you don't have a website by the end of the month, you'll have a website well underway and that sort of thing. So we really took what we had learned from our previous courses, from our business experience. Kathleen has owned a few businesses already herself and done very well with them. And and we designed something else and we'll talk about that. But we also and we, and with it, we are going to write an. The next book, we're gonna write it together. We've discovered that we really write well together. And so the Reiki business book is for people who and the start your Reiki business course are for people who are just starting their course. And then the grow your Reiki business. And I think that is gonna be the name of our book that we will write together, or for people that have a business and they have a website but they're ready to grow. They're ready to take that next step. And Justine is saying she doesn't like the word business. And that's a good point, Justina. However, what I'm gonna say about that is it is a business and. What the issue is not the word business. The issue is the connotations we have around the word business. It sounds sleazy, like we're trying to like we're trying to get somebody to buy something they don't need when we know that. And so what I want to tell you about that is that it's not the word business that's the problem. It's your thoughts around that word. And so that's what needs to heal. Because let's think about this for a minute. Why is Reiki had, if you're here, if you're here, that's because Reiki has touched your soul. It has most likely changed your life. It has helped you find yourself. It has brought harmony into your life, into your relationships. It has done a million percent. It has done all of that for you and for each of us, for each one of us. Also a Reiki master for each one of us. Reiki has just incredibly changed our lives in the most incredible way. We, and we all know that, we all experience that. I once said, somebody say, Pam, you gotta realize that not everybody has miracles happening around them every day, and you're so used to it, but it's odd for us, and it's, Reiki does bring that energy. So we know that part of it. But the only reason, and I wanna, I really wanna emphasize this. The only reason all of us learned Reiki is because it was a business. Because business is a language, it's a system that crosses borders and languages and cultures. You're so welcome, Justina. And if we think about it it's not uncommon. We all, I struggled for nine years for heaven's sake. So I'm not being critical of anybody that has a difficult time bringing business into Reiki because I, it's ridiculous that it was that hard for me with all the business experience that I had, but I had an impression around the word business that well, no, that's trying to push something on somebody that's being salesy, that's, and nothing can be further from the truth. But the only reason any of us. Received Reiki is, we all paid somebody for our classes and our sessions, which dramatically improved our lives. And then, let's think about it for a minute. We pay people when we get our haircut, we pay people for our eyeglasses. We, business is a system of energy exchange. That's all it is. And if we can look at it like that, then it can be helpful. Because, let's think about this. The reason that business, or the reason that Reiki still exists is how did UI Sensei decide to share Reiki with a business? How did HII share Reiki with a business? And what about Mrs. Akata? With a business. So the reason it's around is that business has very clear parameters around it. It's not a religion. It's available to people from any religion. It doesn't exclude anyone. A business just very clearly says, this is what it is and this is the exchange. That's it. And I think somebody Marissa, was that you that had a question? No, sorry. No, that's okay. No worries. Okay. So sorry about that you guys. I I guess I'm very passionate about this. And so our next book that Kathleen and I will write is about growing people. So just a little bit. About us. I guess I told you about myself, Kathleen. Can you tell people why you're here and what you're bringing to the table? I already know, but probably everybody else doesn't.
Kathleen:Yeah, absolutely. So I had a twisty journey as many of us do. It's the cornerstone of a happy life, in my opinion. I started in science. I did a little bit of research, decided that wasn't for me, and ended up going to do my yoga teacher training across the world. And then while I was over there, I found a job teaching yoga over in Austria. So I was really lucky to have that experience. I ended up living in Austria for about eight months on a yoga and ski retreat. And it was just amazing. But while I was there, I wasn't making a whole lot of money, so I thought that maybe I should find another way to get some income in. And so I started freelancing actually. I did a little bit of writing at first and I decided to do some blog writing and things like that because it was something that I was always really good at, was writing. So I just decided to leverage that strength. And after that I got into copywriting and marketing as a whole and I started to learn more about it and I decided that I actually really liked it because as much as, marketing sounds like a salesy thing. What it really is psychology. It's understanding how people think, what they need, and how you can connect with them better. And I really loved that aspect of it. And so I decided with a little bit of encouragement from my mom to to do my MBA and it was just a great decision. So while I was doing my MBA, I was working as a manager at a small local business. And now I am working as a management consultant. It's a really great experience. I'm working with a lot of government. A lot of government departments and essentially helping them out with whatever problems they have. Management consulting sounds like a mysterious made up job, but it actually is a job. I've heard that a lot. And yeah, essentially it's just, whenever businesses have problems, they call in consultants to help them solve the problems for them. So that's what I'm doing now and that's the short version of why I'm here.
Pam:And Kathleen, you've helped me in the past. We've put on our business courses and one of the things I really enjoyed is that although I have business experience Kathleen is a little more current with some of the tech and some of that and that end of things. And I found we really went well together in that she could bring in a lot of things from your copyright time and talk a little, you learned a lot as well, even from being a campaign manager. In another I
Kathleen:did too. Yeah. I was the campaign manager also going to school and also working as a manager for that business that I had mentioned earlier. My plate was pretty full at the time, but I learned lots from all three experiences. The campaign manager experience was more so project management, making things, making sure things got done on time and managing people. And my manager job was a little bit of the same actually, but it was more operational and looking after the day-to-day aspects of running a business. All those fun things like taxes and bookkeeping and answering emails and the less glamorous stuff is what I did then. And now I'm learning even more at my current job. I have anywhere between. Four and six projects going at a time with different organizations and I always learn something completely different with each one. So we do a lot of strategic planning, we do HR work, we do all sorts of stuff.
Pam:Yeah. And I know that you're that you're already quite busy and that you've agreed to come and give me a hand with this. You've helped Reiki practitioners before with their businesses, and you get pretty passionate about it, just like I do. What, why, what about that do you really enjoy?
Kathleen:I love, like I mentioned, I love connecting with people, but I also love teaching people how to connect if that makes sense. And so that's why marketing has always really stood out to me. But then I also love the strategy piece behind it, the piece that's around prioritizing and not burning yourself out in the process of having a business. And and also just, the fact that I know that for every person we teach if they're able to grow their Reiki business, they're able to get the word out and they're able to share Reiki with more and more people, and that will help a lot of people around the world. So the ripple effect is very real,
Pam:very real. I agree with you. And so thank you. And I think we've been, throwing pebbles in the water and seeing the ripple effect. But personally, I'm ready to throw Boulder now. To see the ripple effect from that.
Kathleen:Exactly.
Pam:Yeah. I think it is time.
Kathleen:I think you've been throwing boulders. I, I don't think, you don't have to be modest.
Pam:You think so? I think so. It's funny, I just did a podcast or recorded something that will be translated for a Reiki conference in Brazil and it's around the Reiki business. And one of the things that the moderator said was, how, oh, thank you Justine. And she said it's so needed. I think so too, Justine. I think just so that we can get you all out there doing what you love and what you're passionate about, I wake up excited every day. Oh, what do I, what new thing do I get to do today? And I just want that for everybody. But one of the things that, my mentor, Colleen Benelli and I sometimes talk about is and she gets frustrated that at a lot of forums, I'm one of the first people that has said yes, this is mystical. And yes, Reiki can lead it and guide it, but we also still need to use business principles. The in it's you have, it is, we have a small business and so we, we need to treat it like that. And Colleen is, was so excited when I wrote the book and taught the classes because she said so many people just say, oh, just turn it over to Reiki and let Reiki lead. And she says, no it's more than that. Like you do have to get familiar with how to do things. And how to do your marketing and how not to get overwhelmed and think you have to do all the things. So that's where we'd like to take you today. And
Kathleen:yeah, and a lot of that has to do with purpose too. Like finding your purpose, figuring out who it is that you want to speak to and connect with and go from there. So it's, it's, I'll mention this later, but it's very tough to accomplish your goals if you don't know what the goals are. And so finding your purpose, finding your people is a huge part of making things easier for you.
Pam:That's right. And we've experienced that and still are, I'm in the process of growing my business at the moment because I did have to set it to the side for the last few years and not pay as much attention to it as I like to. And so it's been really good to, get back to it and focus on it again. And really appreciate it. Beth wrote, God will send you a shovel, but you need to do the work to dig the hole. And that makes sense. So where was I gonna go with this, Kathleen? You just, oh, it I'm, I have an outline, but I'm totally not following it as I often do. And
Kathleen:I know I'm trying to look at your outline to see where we are, but
Pam:we're not on it. We're not on the outline, Kathleen, at all. We haven't been on the outline since the beginning. I think maybe. Fair
Kathleen:enough.
Pam:Two lines were on the outline. I'm just too passionate about this. One of the things I wanted to make sure you all knew is that everybody's business looks different. And the Reiki business book when I was writing it, the energy I actually don't remember writing whole chapters of that book. It was just the energy was just flowing through. And actually, I must say when I do, when I write that way, I think I'm a better writer. I went back and looked at it, it was like, oh, this is pretty good. But I honestly can't take a lot of credit for having written it. I think I was just an open channel letting it flow through and. But one of the things, the energy, the very beginning of the book in the very first chapter was everybody's business needs to fit them. And so you're not telling people how to have a business like yours. You are going to be guiding people into finding the right business for them. And if that's something you're not sure of go ahead and just go onto my website. It's Pam Allen Lelong, P-A-M-A-L-L-E-N-L-E-B-L-A-N-C Pam Allen lebla@love.com or something like that. I'm gonna have to look that. Thanks Kat. And that's my book business website. Actually, Kathleen helped me design that and you can just sign up for our newsletter if you don't already get our newsletter. Oh, it's just Pam l and LeBla Love.
Kathleen:I think you're right. Yeah, I think so.
Pam:That, yeah. Wanda looked it up for us and said this. Oh, Pam Ellen Le. Thank you, Wanda. It says It's Pam Allen LeBla love. So if you go on Pam Ellen LeBla Love. That's the book website. You don't even have to purchase the book. All the meditations are there for you go through the meditations. They're lower down on the website. Also, if you sign up for our newsletter, and please, if you don't already get our newsletter, take a minute to hop over there. But when, or to Reiki from the farm. But when you sign up for the newsletter through the book website, we automatically send you the first chapter of the book. And in the first chapter of the book is an exercise that will help you define your purpose and help you define the direction that your business, the one that's right for you would go in. So please take a chance. Take a moment to do that after the podcast if you haven't done it already. So Kat, we asked some of the people that are here with us to this evening where they are with their businesses, and there it's almost a 50 50 or 60 40 mix of starting and growing their businesses, isn't it? Yeah. Some are starting, some are established and ready to grow. Some are just not intending to even start a business yet, but that's okay. I'm happy that you're here. Your business might be five years out, or maybe your business looks completely different from what you think a business would look like. We're going to uncover that a little bit today, but one of the things that we've noticed is everything that exists in the world of form first exists in the formless realm. That's everything from the earth itself to every thought or idea or creation or anything that is manufactured or baked or made or grown. Everything, every idea, every everything at all, anything at all in the world of form first existed in the formless realm, and then it came into the world of form. In our Reiki Master manual with the ICRT. William talks about the Big Bang theory and how everything that exists came out of a singularity. And so everything that exists came from nothing, which is the formless realm. So today what we're going to do is take you into the formless realm so that you can actually meet your business and learn more about it. And that can help you open the doors and open the channels to allow it to move into the world of form. So Kat, we are finally getting to the outline and
Kathleen:Nice.
Pam:Sorry, we're gonna go to our talking points. Just, we talked about there are two distinct phases in a Reiki business, starting the business. And what we've noticed is that takes courage, structure, and permission. You have to give the permission for the business to start coming through. A lot of people don't think about it that way. And then we also have people who have done that part and they're growing a business and that's really different. It requires clarity, refinement, and sustainability. And because of that we've noticed that they really require different tools. And different approaches. And some people, when it's time to grow a business, it's almost like they throw the baby out with the bath water. They start all over again. But Kat, you were talking about why that's just really not a good idea.
Kathleen:Yeah, I'm not familiar with that. Throw the baby out with the bath water. It's, can you explain that?
Pam:Starting all over again, oh, getting rid of what you've already got and starting all over again. And you were talking about, just the importance of not getting rid of what you've got. It's working. Yeah. Refining it. And
Kathleen:yeah,
Pam:moving
Kathleen:forward. Absolutely. Yeah. Refining it and realizing as well that not that everything doesn't have to be perfect. I am a serial perfectionist, so I totally understand the inclination, but that's gonna do nothing but hold you back if you expect everything that you create to be perfect and for, everything in your business to be perfect. And the other thing is that people don't realize that their business has to be a reflection on themselves more so than, if you see someone who's doing really incredible things and has a really successful business, some people will sometimes try to emulate that or copy it, but. 99.9% of the time, that's not going to work unless you have the exact same personality as that person that you're trying to emulate. And so you have to go inwards and look at who you are as a person what's important to you what kinds of people you can connect with the best rather than trying to copy someone else's strategies or marketing or anything.
Pam:Yeah, exactly Kathleen. And one of the things that's really important is that your business does reflect you. A lot of us really struggle at first to put ourselves out there. And so a lot of us will come up with a name for our business that doesn't really reflect us, that, reflects what we think it should be or what, whatever. Yeah. And that's, you are your business. And you are putting yourself out there. So I guess we, we maybe have to own that
Kathleen:absolutely.
Pam:Yeah. And some
Kathleen:of it, and it comes up as more genuine as well. Oh yeah. And it makes things much easier to get started because you're not faking it. You can just be yourself.
Pam:Yeah.
Kathleen:And not only does it make it easier, but it makes people more likely to trust you and like you and invest in you.
Pam:Yeah, absolutely. Just it's being yourself and not trying to be anything else. It takes a lot. It takes some of the stress out of it too, because you're not trying to fit a mold that you think you should be fitting. And we often see people if they aren't really connecting with the spirit of their business. And listening to the flow and the divine timing and all of that, we see people get overwhelmed. We see people undervaluing themselves. We see people just being invisible from their business, like not being, and just also, Kathleen you put this trying to do all the things.
Kathleen:Yeah. Yeah. That a lot? Yeah. Without any sort of thought behind it or purpose. Yeah. And that, that's actually the biggest mistake I see, even in, in large companies that I work with on a daily basis, is people try to do all the things. And usually those things aren't necessarily things that add value. They're just the things that you think that you should be doing. And so if you're doing. Everything and anything that you can think of to grow your business, but there's no sort of purpose or strategy behind it. I actually really I read a book a few years ago, the Monk Who Sold his Ferrari, and he tells a story about a monk who one of his students came up to him and asked him, listen I really wanna learn how to focus. I can't figure out how to get things done and achieve my purpose. And so the monk said, okay, come with me. And they went to a hilltop and the, gave him a bow and arrow, there was a target and he said, okay, first I want you to shoot, but don't look at the target. And of course, he completely missed the target. Then he says, okay, I need you to shoot and look at the target, but focus on all of the things happening around you, the sounds, the smells everything that your senses can see, and everything you can hear. And he made the target. It wasn't that center, it was somewhere around the edges. But he still, he was able to get the target. And then finally the monk says, okay, now I want you to look at the dead center of the target and not think or pay attention to anything else. Just completely focus on dead center. And of course, he made it dead center of the target. And that's a really great metaphor for having purpose in your activities and being able to use that purpose to achieve your actual goals because. Otherwise you're wasting your energy on on things that aren't really worth it so much. And so we'll talk about that a lot in the course and in the book.
Pam:And in the book we want you to we want you, we wanna save you time and effort. I guess that's the whole reason that we are going into this, because it really did take me a long time and I don't think, it didn't take you quite as long as it took me Kathleen, to do with your businesses. But
Kathleen:we, yeah, but I never I never continued the businesses'cause I ended up getting a job. Maybe if it had been something that I really felt was purposeful for me then maybe it would've continued. So that's another thing, right? And if you don't feel like you're on purpose in your business then you're a lot less motivated to keep it going and to do the work.
Pam:That is true, isn't it? So we will talk a little bit about the courses, but this isn't really, it's not a sales pitch for the courses, it's just letting you know about them. We will put a link in the chat,'cause for some of you that will be the way to go. For others, it might be one or the other of the books that will help. And and still others. This podcast might be all that you need to really get you rolling and. We just, we want you to have whatever help is right for you, whatever you need. So the first one is starting your Reiki business, but I do wanna say that if your Reiki business isn't strictly Reiki, like maybe you are a yoga teacher, maybe you do acupuncture, ma massage, maybe, you combine it with physiotherapy or whatever have you. This course will also be for you if it's any kind of spiritual business at all. And this is just for people who don't yet have a website or a website that you feel comfortable with and who feel the call, but just don't know really how to begin. We're gonna be focusing on things like foundation structure and confidence, and we will be basing it. Off of the Reiki business book and however, we're just gonna go deeper. So with both of the courses, there will be assigned reading ahead of the class. And then we are gonna go deeper with exercises. We're also gonna have office hours, so it's a a two hour meeting each month where we'll be teaching and then and giving you homework as well. There will be homework. This is not if you're just kicking the tires, just this isn't probably the right course for you. This is for people who are pretty committed and we'll put the time in. We're not going to make it. Unachievable or complicated though if you can fit in six to 10 hours of work a month it should be fine. And so we'll do two hours of pretty intensive teaching with some homework. And then before the in between and before the following month, there will be office hours. So as you get going and get working through the homework, if you have some difficulties or if as you get into it you have some more questions, we wanna meet you partway through. So that. We can help you with that. So those office hours are largely gonna be q and a to really help you keep going with each of the monthly topics. And then for the second business, do you wanna talk about that one, Kathleen, or the second course? The grow Your Business?
Kathleen:Sure. Yeah. So that's gonna be
Pam:Donna, it is. Sorry. It is live for two hours, Donna? Yes. And for anybody who can't attend, the recording will be available, but it is live for two hours and then live for the office hours there. Go ahead. Sorry Kat.
Kathleen:It's okay. So yeah, we are going to be it's essentially a marketing course. I know not everyone loves the term marketing, but like I said, course on connecting with people and connecting with the right people. And so we are going to look at everything from figuring out who your ideal client is to building your website to copywriting. So copywriting, just to give a little bit of background, is a way of writing to if so, if I wanted to use the salesy term a way of writing to sell things essentially. But it is a way of writing that I see more as connecting with people. And we will also talk about yeah, just all kinds of. Really awesome things and we're really looking forward to it. We've given this course before and it was just so much fun that we decided we had to do it again and people seem to really enjoy it. So
Pam:yeah, we're just gonna structure it a little bit differently because we think it, we think it'll, people will be able to be more successful the grow your business. We're not we're not actually building your website though. We're gonna be refining it. We're gonna be doing a website audit to make sure that it's hitting all the targets that you want it to hit. And so we are working through that.
Kathleen:Yeah. And we'll also talk, like I mentioned a little bit about prioritization and not having to do all the things because once you really know who your clients are, you know where to find them. And so you don't have to, be on social media and also be sending out newsletters and also be creating blogs and also be, all of the things. So we'll help you refine your marketing strategy a little bit.
Pam:And I just wanna say something about marketing that that's what I am as a marketer. That's really where I focused. My MBA was around marketing. And although, you mentioned that not everybody loves the term marketing, but essentially it's how people find you. It's if you want to have that impact by sharing Reiki, animal Reiki, healthcare, Reiki, whatever it is you plan to share, it's really hard to do that if people can't find you. And so we're looking at what we've learned about that and just trying to help shorten your learning curve.
Kathleen:Yeah, you always say when you first started, someone would've had to be standing directly beside you to even know that you offered Reiki or writing lessons or any of the things that you offered. And that's the thing that we're trying to combat a little bit to help you grow your business.
Pam:That is true. I was playing so small with my own business that yeah, you had to be standing right beside me to find out what I was doing. Like I, I did no marketing whatsoever. And and yeah, it was I don't know, like it's really hard to promote yourself. It's probably the hardest thing. And I had to actually, Kathleen really helped me with that, but I had to get I had to do a master's degree in that when I, it does feel icky Justina, and, but I had to learn about that when I ran politically. And I really, I think that might be one of the reasons that I did, was just to help me refine that a little bit. So yeah, and we just know that businesses have. With grow your Reiki business. Like I said, we're not starting over. We're refining and then moving into the next the next steps and growth can be uncomfortable. Growth is uncomfortable for just about everybody. And so it's just being there to support you as you step into that now. There is a concept or an idea that your business already exists. It has an energy, a personality, a stage of development. But if we aren't working collaboratively with that business, we can get off track, we can aim elsewhere, we can burn, we can come into resistance and stagnation, but if we do work in conjunction with it, in conjunction with Reiki and let Reiki lead even then it, it just, it feels a bit like a relief, a clarity. The next steps seem simpler. And KA I guess you, you told the story about the monk and hitting the mark. I guess you talked about what marketing means as well. So let's go ahead and go into just a little bit q and a.
Kathleen:Sure. First, can we just answer Michelle's question? She's just asking, I'm sorry. If the courses overlap each other this year.
Pam:Thanks Michelle. They do, we are offering it from Mar the end of March until the end of August. So it is gonna be a six month course and they are being offered at the same time. So Yeah. And I do suspect though, that we'll do something very similar next year as well. And I, I should have mentioned with the second course we are writing that book and what we, and could somebody do both together? I think they could.
Kathleen:I think so. Yeah. I don't see why
Pam:not.
Kathleen:Yeah,
Pam:I've been given that a bit of thought because you're not the first person to ask that, and I think you could do both together Now. One is a Tuesday evening, the other is the following Wednesday evening, and the office hours are together. But yes, I think you could do both together. And also you will have the recordings and the PowerPoints afterward. If there were some things you had to hold off on, you will also have those. And what we are going to do with the Grow Your Reiki business course is we are going to be writing the chapters. We've got our book outline and chapter outline, and we've just been just starting on it just getting into it, but not, they're not quite ready yet, and we'll be sending you the draft chapters just a couple of chapters at a time to read ahead. And so you guys will have you will be seeing the book as it's forming. And that will be what we guide. And
Kathleen:we, and we hope you'll give us feedback too. If we missed anything that's important.
Pam:We truly want to have the feedback. So yeah, it is exciting, right? Like you guys are going to be part of the process. And as a matter of fact, when we are finished the book we would like to use some of your success stories in the book and maybe even invite a couple of people to join us on the podcast to talk about, some of your success stories. So that is where we'd like to take it. And yeah. Let's get into the questions that we were thinking people might like to know.
Kathleen:Sure. Sounds good. You have been teaching Reiki and building a business for a long time. When you look back, what feels the most different about how you relate to your business now versus when you started?
Pam:The biggest thing is that even though I always believed in Reiki, I didn't always believe in myself, and I didn't always believe that I was up to the task of sharing this wonderful and amazing thing in a way that it needed to be shared. And I have to say that. When I started my business in 2011, my, my Reiki business in 2011, I'd started my horse business before that people also weren't as open to things like Reiki and animal communication. And so I am familiar some of you live in regions where people still aren't open. I am familiar with having to navigate all of that. But I also noticed that I wasn't always confident in myself. And the biggest thing I will have to say the licensed teacher program, the extra thousand hours of training that gave me so much confidence. In myself and then, writing the book and coaching other people through. I really believe if you want to learn, teach something and by teaching others I really have so much more confidence in myself and, I have even more confidence in Reiki as a result of that. So I would have to say when I started, I had very little confidence in myself and my own ability. Yeah. So I don't know if anybody can relate to that, but that's the biggest thing I found.
Kathleen:Yeah, absolutely. I think that comes with time and experience and just doing the same thing over and over again and doing the things that you don't think you can do. And so that's amazing that you're able to get through or Yeah. Get through that.
Pam:I think about what I told my teacher when I was becoming a Reiki master, and I was so nervous to be there. I mispronounced my own name three times and William Rand said, I said, I'm so sorry Mr. Rand. I don't know why I did that. I'm so nervous. And he said, why are you nervous? And Donna said, she can relate to the lack of confidence. I said so quickly, because Reiki masters are wonderful and amazing people, and I'm not, I'm just me. And he said, and I'm just me. I'm really happy you're here. And now, William is one of my dearest friends and mentors. So it's incredible.
Kathleen:It's, you say Reiki business is alive. When did that click for you? And what does that actually mean to you?
Pam:I noticed that Reiki was always providing guidance. As I was growing my business and as I was starting my business, like I was, a lot of times I was going into Reiki meditation and I was asking, I wasn't even always asking, but just in my meditations, I would see the next steps and the next things. And so over time I got to trust Reiki enough that I said, you know what, Reiki, why don't you lead? And I surrendered or turned things over to Reiki and it did lead and it guided me in this. And I thought it was just so fascinating to. Approach business in that way where I wasn't trying to make something happen, I was more listening. And then it all clicked when I read an article of Colleen Benellis called The Spirit of Your Reiki Business, and I realized, oh my gosh, my business is a thing and it's not necessarily a thing that's separate from me, which is how I was treating it. It's actually part of me. It's almost an expression of the Reiki energy. And that really clicked for me and that's why I chose that meditation for us this evening. I'm hoping it will click for all of you too.
Kathleen:Yeah, it's very true. So before we start to get into courses or strategy around businesses why do you think that businesses feel so difficult and charged or emotional for Reiki practitioners, but also just as for people? I think,
Pam:For people, I think that that we all come from a culture of lack and of competition, and those are some of the things that are not attractive about some of the businesses that we're familiar with. We're all inundated with ads on social media and just, we're wherever we, we get our information and a lot of them are smarmy and salesy and just. Not comfortable, but they're coming from a place of lack mentality and competition. And one of the things that and I think that brings an emotional charge also a lot of us, because we are tapped into that lack or poverty mentality, a lot of us have some sort of guilt or shame or insecurity around receiving money for doing something that is so beautiful and spiritual. But I know that for me, that's something I really had to overcome. That's exactly what I struggled with. But then I really had to look at it and I was like I, but would I feel comfortable? Going and receiving a service for someone and not paying for it, and I wouldn't feel comfortable at all. And William r talked about how when we, when we're simply upfront with what something costs and so on, everybody feels more comfortable when we are uncomfortable receiving, receiving for providing a service, we pass our discomfort on to others. And if we refuse to receive an energy exchange of some sort for. Providing a service, we actually take a balance of power over people. And when I first realized that, I said, oh no, I don't wanna take a balance of power over people. I was just trying to be nice. And we all wanna be nice and we all love this so much, we just want to share it. But the most comfortable way we can share it is with a business and is with getting over the unhealthy competition that is part of our culturally created self part of our culture we were raised in. And getting over and through that mentality that, that sort of lack or poverty mentality. And when we can use Reiki to help us overcome these things then it just becomes a very, something that has no charge. It's just something that you can be upfront about your clients can be more comfortable. For six months. When I started seeing clients, I refused to allow them to pay me. And it made them so uncomfortable they wouldn't come back. And then when I realized that was actually, making them uncomfortable, I realized I had to get over my own hangups. But I think that's why Kathleen, it's mostly emotionally charged with competition. We actually, in the ICRT, we don't believe in competition. We believe that every single Reiki practitioner in the world could be working 24 7, and we would still just barely make a dent in what is needed in the world. We just don't we just don't. We've worked to heal that. Culturally create a belief that limiting belief that is set up in so many of us.
Kathleen:Because I know this came up a lot in the previous course that we did, what would you tell someone who is saying, oh, I just, I feel like my services aren't good enough yet. I just need the practice before I start charging people, or oh yes. I am giving out my courses for free, I'm giving courses to people and for every course I'll give them out for,$0. What would you say to that?
Pam:I tell people to teach before you're ready to do sessions and charge for them when people are asking for them, that is the universe telling you. And if somebody asks you to teach them, don't send them to me. That is the universe telling you that you are their teacher. Because they always say the student finds the teacher that they're supposed to have, and the client finds the practitioner that they're supposed to have. So that's the universe saying, you're, you've got this, you're ready for this. And even if you don't think you're ready, that is usually just an unhealed part of your ego that's not ready. I think just go ahead and do those things before they're perfect, before they're ready. And you'll see that, that you actually were ready. You just you're just holding yourself back. And then when people do give away things for free, like I did at first, you are not allowing your client to take an active role in their own healing, whether it's classes or sessions. And by simply allowing for that energy exchange, you are now your client or your student has become an active participant in their own healing. And don't keep that from people. That's really important. And I, you'll always have people that will even ask you to give them a discount and so on for sessions or classes. And it's up to you whether you want to do that. I used to do it. And then one of the things I recognized is that I was contributing. When I did that to people remaining in a lack or poverty mentality. And when I had, as soon as I had that realization I realized like I do not wanna keep people in a lack mentality. So I'm going to break it up into payments to make it easier for people if they need payments. Absolutely. But I had somebody from the Philippines and she explained that their money wasn't worth at all. What and I charged US dollars.'cause all the license teachers charged the same fee. And it's just simpler to do it that way, even though I'm in Canada. And she was explaining that, the difference in the money and so on. And I said listen, what do you have to break it up into to make it work for you? Because, and she said,$86, I can pay$86 a month. I said, fantastic. Let's not 85, 86. And she literally, she did miss a month, I think, but then she caught up eventually, she sent$86 a month. She attended the class even before she was finished paying. I just can't send the certificate until the payments were all in. And she was so proud of herself when she made the last payment, and I was so proud of her. When I saw the last payment come in, I did a little like happy dance and a little celebration. I was just so proud of her and she sent me a message. Like shortly after. And she said, I just sent the letter and I could feel the excitement in her that she managed to do that. And I was, and I said, I know I saw it and I'm so excited for you. I am getting your certificate in the mail that instant that I can get to the post office because I'm so proud of you. And do you know that she has become the animal Reiki person for the Philippines and everybody comes to her and brings the animals to her and she has just launched herself into a beautiful career and I just, I think I would've limited her if I had said, oh yeah, just pay half or something like that, and so I, I really feel into it and I tend not to, I just, I don't want to keep people in that poverty or lack mentality.
Kathleen:Yeah. Absolutely. That makes a lot of sense.
Pam:Kat, let me ask you a few questions. You have literally been around this work just about your whole life. You became a Reiki level one and two practitioner when you were 11 years old? I believe it was. Was that the year? I
Kathleen:don't know. I have no idea.
Pam:Yeah. Your, wait, now your sister was nine, so I'm sorry, you were 13 years old.
Kathleen:13, yeah.
Pam:You were 13. You were five weeks old at my graduation from my MBA. What do you think? You grew up, you watched me grow the business and then grow other bus, other people's businesses, and then you watched me grow this one from the ground up. You knew how hard I had to work, but, what do you think that your perspective is? What did you learn from that?
Kathleen:I saw a lot of work going into it. Yeah, like you said, I saw how hard you worked, but I also saw how you got to know yourself and the process of building your business and getting to know your clients. And we did all sorts of things. It was a lot of fun. I remember one year we went to this older lady's house and we trained 40 horses in a week. And like I mentioned at the beginning it hasn't been a straight line for me, but I, it hasn't been a straight line for you either. So there was a lot of trying things out and getting to know yourself and what you wanted to work on and what kinds of people you wanted to work with. Yeah. And I also saw the fire that comes with working in something that you're passionate about. And I don't think that a lot of kids are lucky enough to see that in their parents. Most people are just getting through the day and that's absolutely fine, but it's really inspiring to see that in your parent because it honestly makes you wanna do the same thing for yourself and find something that you're that passionate about. And you have just had endless motivation. I've seen you go to bed at midnight and wake up at 5:00 AM and keep working. And so there's definitely a lot of. Work that goes into it. But you've always been so happy despite all of the work or maybe because of all of the work,
Pam:maybe because of it.
Kathleen:Yeah,
Pam:That's a really good point. And I noticed that both you and your sister, you finished your MBA, your sister's very close to finishing her Bachelor's of Business Administration and your brother's in the process of starting his own company right now. So maybe
Kathleen:the entrepreneurial gene definitely passes down the generations, I would say.
Pam:I love that. Yeah, I love that. I found it so interesting that we both started in science before we moved into business. What do you, how do you think that impacts us? Like how does that shape how we think about energy and intuition? We're both scientists first.
Kathleen:You know how you said that when you met William Rand, you were like, oh my gosh. I'm a nobody. Like I, I am not a Reiki master. You guys, you're such wonderful people. I had a very similar perspective on scientists.
Pam:Oh.
Kathleen:In the sense that scientists could never be wrong. They were just these gods who knew everything, and I was so amazed. And I loved science, I loved learning, but through that learning. I also started to see science like what it is. And really it's just, it's a bunch of humans with questions they want answered and they're gonna try to get those answered in the best way that they can. But those humans are flawed and they can only learn so much through experiments and trial and error can go wrong. There's a bunch of rules you have to follow when you're setting up a scientific experiment and not everyone necessarily follows them to a T. And so I realized that they're not gods like I always thought they were. And the science is not the be all and end all of the world. And don't get me wrong, I have a tremendous amount of respect for science and all of the advancements that it's brought. And I am very proud to be a scientist, but I know that I am flawed. And that gives me a different perspective because in my mind, humans really only understand a very small part of this life that we're living. And science is a constant process of learning and unlearning and relearning. And nothing is ever necessarily proven.'cause even the most accepted theories are theories. They're not proven facts. And they could be refuted at any time when new evidence comes out. So a scientist can say that they're reasonably certain about something, but that doesn't mean that it's the absolute truth. And that was so mind blowing to me. And I started to think about some of the things that I'd always taken for granted. I was always a huge skeptic when it came to energy work. And I know, I'm sorry, everybody.
Pam:No, but you were, yeah,
Kathleen:I was a huge skeptic. Things like intuition interconnectivity of living things. But I started to realize and through my own experiences that just because scientists have or science hasn't caught up, that doesn't mean that those things aren't valid and real. And that's coming from a very long-term skeptic. But I'm also constantly learning and unlearning and relearning. So it's an ative process.
Pam:Just gonna take a minute to brag because you did as an undergrad publish a paper. Actually, and for your entomology study that you did with
Kathleen:forensic entomology, CSI stuff,
Pam:yes, it was, you were, and your work was actually going to help people date bodies, I believe. That they found through the insect colonies that were present. So it was, you did that was really cool that you had such success in science and I know you're going to turn that into business success as well. And I do wanna say something, some of you have heard me say before, but one of the scientists with Princeton that I was working with in my previous job was talking about spirituality before I was really on board with it. And I said, Mike, how do you reconcile what you're saying to me about angels and stuff like this with the fact that we are scientists? And he gave me the best quote. He said, Pam, science is just trying to figure out what God already knows. And so I really love that. Kat, you're a management consultant. Now, when you look at Reiki businesses, and we really got to have a close look with all of those people that we worked with a few years ago when we taught this course a little bit differently. What'd you notice that practitioners can't often see for themselves?
Kathleen:I wanna start by saying that it's not just practitioners. In my everyday job, I see the exact same tendencies and trends, and I'm gonna sound like a broken record, but it really all comes back to focus. So the smartest and most well-intentioned people will fail if they don't have a clear purpose or goal in mind. And I've seen a lot of projects fail because people are working on the busy work. They're working on the things that they think that they should be working on, but they haven't actually taken the time to take a deeper look and figure out if what they're working on is actually bringing them closer to the goal that they have. So it's the monks student. It comes back to that story and and my work and for Reiki practitioners that can look like really well-intentioned people who are doing the work that's assigned to them or doing the work that, like I mentioned, they think they should do without actually asking themselves, why,
Pam:where are we going with this?
Kathleen:Where are we going? What's the goal? If there's another better way to do things? And then also how to celebrate your success. How to measure it. And. See those even really small successes as steps in the right direction.
Pam:Yeah.
Kathleen:So yeah, like I said, every business deals with the same issues, and that's true. What can help is to think things over, not overthink so much that it leads you to not do
Pam:paralyze us, which that can happen easily.
Kathleen:But before you do anything, just ask yourself why you're doing it and if there's a better way. And if the answer is I'm doing it to get closer to my purpose, which I've already set out for myself and there's really no better way that I can think of this is the way, then absolutely do it. And set yourself some small steps and and get that thing done and break it out into smaller steps within the task at hand so that it feels a little bit more manageable.
Pam:Thank you, Kat. I'm just looking at the time, and I know we were gonna cover a few more things, but let's just end before we move into our meditation today with what do you think we, what do you think is different because we're mother and daughter, and what do you think we bring to the table?
Kathleen:I think that we're quite similar in a lot of ways, but we have very different perspectives.
Pam:Yes.
Kathleen:And because we're mother and daughter and we know each other so well, we're not afraid to argue our different perspectives, even if they're not the same, and I think that is a really big strength because we're able to come together and talk about how our perspectives are different and that ends up making something better than it would've been if it had just been. One of the two of us.
Pam:Yeah, I think you're right.
Kathleen:What about you?
Pam:You're like one of the only people that can like, stop me and redirect me when I get going.
Kathleen:She's saying I'm bossy.
Pam:You learned it from the best maybe.
Kathleen:True.
Pam:You're a little bossy, but, but I can't, I used to get a kick out of it in the campaign. I would get all excited about something. I'd be like, and we're gonna do this, and we're gonna do this. And I, and she would say, Pam, you wouldn't call my mom because No, I, you, when I was off on a roll like that, you'd be like Pam, we're not gonna do that. We're gonna do this. And then I,
Kathleen:but that comes back to purpose. It comes back to purpose.
Pam:It did.
Kathleen:cause yeah,
Pam:it did.
Kathleen:She gets very excited about these ideas, but if there's no purpose behind it, then it's not gonna get you closer to your goals. So that was that. Yeah. There's a lot of that.
Pam:Yeah. No you really kept me focused. And you're right. Even though we do have similar backgrounds, they're also different. And so we do wind up bringing these different perspectives. And I love that we can disagree and still totally get along. Afterward and also see each other's perspective and then see how that strengthens the end product. And we did that when we designed the classes as well. And yeah, it was really fun. It's so much fun to, it
Kathleen:is
Pam:work with your daughter. Yeah. I really enjoyed it. I, when you went back to do your MBA, I really have missed you incredibly as my assistant, and I know you're not coming back, but I do need to train somebody else to take that role.
Kathleen:Yeah, that's okay. Dad said he'd do it.
Pam:Yeah, he did. He's not as easy to work with as you are. You could read you, you read my mind, you speak Pam. And so
Kathleen:I don't think that I do, I just I tell you to explain yourself and that seems to work well for me, okay. I'll give him some tips. Yeah.
Pam:Well guys, thank you for hanging in with us. I'd like to lead you in a meditation now that helps you meet the spirit of your Reiki business. This is from the Reiki business book, and it's really inspired by that article that I read by Colleen Benelli, meet The Spirit of Your Reiki Business. And what this does is it's gonna allow you to co-create your business with the spirit of the business itself. And so I'm really excited to share this with you today. Anything you want to end with Kat before we move into that today,
Kathleen:thank you so much for being here. And it was great getting to chat with all of you today. It was a lot of fun.
Pam:All right. Thank you. Let's go ahead and Kathleen, maybe you and I will meet the spirit of our book, so that will start. We've been fiddling around with it, but just allow that to start flowing in a little bit better.
Kathleen:There you go.
Pam:All right, everyone, I'm just gonna invite you to make yourselves comfortable. Close your eyes, take some deep breaths, and bring your hands up into Gassho. And from here, just invite the energies of your symbols, the power symbol, the mental emotional symbol, the distance symbol. If you have any master symbols, just invite them all to join you now. And if you work with guides or enlightened beings, if they help you in your work, invite them to join you as well. And then we also invite the spirit of your own unique Reiki business to join you today, even if you are not aware of its presence yet or at this time. Now, I invite you to imagine that the distance symbol is in front of you now, and it creates this beautiful bridge of light. And on the other side of the bridge is your Reiki business. Just imagine crossing the bridge of light and meeting your Reiki business on the other side. And if you haven't heard a name yet or decided on one. Invite your Reiki business to let you know what its name is. The mental emotional symbol comes in now and it opens up the field of all possibilities. It becomes a spiritual translator for you to help you communicate better with the spiritual aspects of your business itself, and it helps you receive important information about it. At the same time, the power symbol or your master symbols activate the physical nature of your spiritual business to help you manifest energy and intentions into form. Place your hands comfortably on your body now and give yourself Reiki, just allowing the Reiki energy that surrounds you to first heal your beliefs and limitations around this relationship or around the business itself, or even the word business. And even as this is still processing, ask your connection with your Reiki business to align with your soul, your spirit, and your life purpose. You are empowered with Reiki to move forward in this relationship and on your soul journey. We will just remain here for a few moments as that alignment moves into place. Now I invite you to release any fears or resistance that you have around the existence of your business and around your ability to work with it or to bring it forward into the world. Now invite Reiki to heal all areas where we have resistance to the existence of, or growth of our business, and to also heal any parts of you that may be resistant to the idea that our Reiki business has consciousness and can interact with you. And as you let go of your fears and limitations in developing this relationship, just open yourself up to living in harmony with Reiki and to working in harmony with the energy within your Reiki business and your daily life. We invite Reiki to create the priorities that are just right for you and for your business, and to imbue you with confidence, alignment, and spiritual purpose, helping you to take the actions that will allow your business to become a reality and that will allow your business to support you financially. The more our businesses support us financially, the more we can do energetically invite your mind to stay focused on the day-to-day tasks and practicalities of operating a small business. And then take a moment to listen to your heart, to allow your heart to add its intentions Now. Invite your Reiki business to show you how to communicate better with it. Listen with your heart, your mind, your spirit, and your emotions, and listen with your full intention and attention. And now we invite the Reiki energy to help you align with the physical and spiritual manifestation of your business, bringing in that wonderful alignment and that better understanding. Take a moment now and just give the spirit of your business access to you within that space of alignment. Inspiration comes through now as you open the door for the spiritual energy of your Reiki business to speak to you, what does it have to say? Now ask your Reiki business to show you the first steps for you to take. You'll probably notice that they're not complex or complicated. They're simple. I invite you to take as long as you'd like to come back and simply write those first steps down as you do. So friends, I hope you enjoyed our Reiki share, our podcast this evening. I hope you enjoyed meeting the spirit of your business. I know that the spirit of your businesses are lovely and incredible, and I just wanna say thank you for being here with us today, and thank you, Kathleen, for being here.
