on this week's podcast, I am speaking with my friend Brett Bevel about quite a few things, but one of the things we're talking about is the next evolution of psychic Reiki and also the fact that if any of you would like to meet Brett and I in person, you can do so with the wisdom of Reiki conference at the Omega Institute in June. Welcome, Brett. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Yeah. So thank you for having me, Pam. So I, I'm an energy healer, Reiki master. I got my master level in 1995 and in my journey with Reiki evolved. What I call psychic Reiki, and we'll talk more about that in a bit. But I also work at Omega Institute where I've worked for the last 26 years. And I feel my journey has been very influenced by that experience as well in terms of meeting amazing healers, sometimes energy healers, sometimes other modalities, sometimes amazing writers and artists. And so all of that I feel like has informed and helped shape, who I've evolved to, and how the energy moves through me and how we all kind of dance, dance with that.

And I first met you at Omega Institute, Brett, there was a class that William Rand was giving there and that I was assisting him with. And that's when I became aware just of how many books you've written. You've written so many books. Your card deck is one of my favorite card decks, and I hear that from a lot of people I love, and shuffling through your card deck and picking out a card for the week. That's how I use it. And one of the girls there told me, she goes, do you think it would be all right if I went up and asked him to sign my book or am I going to seem like too much of a fan girl? And I you were obviously you were gracious about it, but you have this beautiful laugh that that I could find you anywhere at Omega. And since then, we've had a chance to work together a few times. I have had a chance to get back and present at Omega Institute about having a Reiki business, and this time I'm going to be talking about animal communication for Reiki practitioners and how that kind of turned on for me. So I'm really excited to get back there. I love Omega Institute. I love everything about it. I try to get there at least once a year. Online and in person for just diff some of the different courses that you offer. And I love getting down there for the wisdom of, I

know. I'm so looking forward to your presentation too, because I wanna, I wanna hear how Reiki and enhance, I know that you and Colleen have developed the animal Reiki system, but I know that this is a little bit of a different angle on just how Reiki opens. Communication with animals. So I would love to, I I'm excited to hear you speak that weekend.

I think it just, and that's what it did for me. It opens, Reiki can sometimes open your psychic abilities, and for me, it definitely opened my ability to hear animals and it led to the circumstances that opened it as well. So I'm excited about that too. Brett, before we get into our questions in that today, I just wanna let people know about some of the courses that we have going on here at the farm, April 25th to 29th. I have a level one and two in masterclass here at the farm that is both online and in person. May 2nd. And third is a weekend animal Reiki level training online and in person at the farm. And then that's followed with an animal Reiki master training. That's over four evenings, over the next two weeks. And I also wanna let you know that in August in Campo, I have all of my horses come courses, horses courses coming up. In the sense that I've got Reiki one and two in Masters in over in a complete week, animal one and two in Masters and Animal communication and Masters. And in between we're going to take a day and explore Campobello Island, which is Campobello was the summer home of Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt. There's the only international park in the world on Campobello. And that's the other thing I love when I go to Omega Institute, their main residence is not far from where you are, Brett at Omega and at Hyde Park. So I've become quite an Eleanor and Franklin fan. And when I, whenever I go to Omega, I try to sneak over and see a little bit of Hyde Park on the way, on the long drive home. It's, or at some point during my time there. So I've had an opportunity to to check that out. But Campobello iss truly astounding. And we are going to be going whale watching, so this is gonna be a real destination trip. I'd love to have you join us. And then in October I will have a full lineup of my classes again online and in person at the farm. And in September I will be presenting at the Reiki retreat in Arizona, the international Reiki retreat. So would love to have you join us in at Omega or there. And then I'll be heading over to Hong Kong and teaching some classes over there, which is gonna be really fun. So Brett, what do you have coming up?

I have there's the wisdom of Reiki conference is the first, in-person event that I'll really be focused on. Again, that's June 5th through seventh and I always love it because it's just such a community of people, amazing teachers like you and William and my friend Michelle Denee and others. And I always look forward to, it seems every time William always does the keynote on Friday night, and every time he does, there's always something new that I learn about a sui or something related to the history of Reiki. I feel like he's got like a research team that is like always uncovering all these little nuggets. And so I'm very excited about that. And also just the healings that will occur, the, the holy fire Reiki healing experience that he always does. Also, we have a beautiful sound healer, Felicia Victoria, who's amazing with singing bowls. And so I'm looking forward to that, looking forward to your presentation. And I will also be doing. I hadn't decided this until recently, so every year I always do a psychic Reiki empowerment and teach people a little bit about that. But I just recently decided this year I'm also gonna do an ultra psychic Reiki empowerment that even I haven't even put that in the course description. So I have to have them update that because ultra psychic Reiki is a little bit, has a little bit more juice to it. It just felt like right to share that. And one thing too, that's also not in the course description, but that Saturday night and I haven't really even spoken to all the presenters about it yet, so that Saturday night, Michelle Deni and I, and any of the presenters who want to be part of it will be doing an online, not online, an open to campus event about Reiki and a Reiki peace ceremony. Oh. Gonna involve some dance and some other things. Like I said, there's some things that haven't even percolated out to all the faculty yet, but I'm very excited about it.

I'm excited. I'll be taking part in that. Yeah. Because world peace does seem to be a big part of my mission. Yeah. Here on the planet. So that's exciting. I love it. Brett. I can't wait to see you there. That is always I don't know. I love everything about Omega. Yeah,

yeah, me too. The following weekend I am teaching a level one and two, which is for me it's more traditional. I do weave a little bit in of my own psychic Reiki work towards the end of that weekend. But it's mostly a traditional one and two training. But yeah, right now I'm focused on the Reiki conference and just. Again, like it's still evolving and new things are coming through. So it's definitely, if folks have been to it before, this one's gonna be different. There's gonna be some new stuff that's coming through, so very excited about it.

That is exciting. I think it's always a little different. And that's what we're gonna talk about today because you've said that your psychic Reiki, which I love by the way, you did an empowerment the last time that I was at the Wisdom of Reiki conference.

Brett 8:57

Yeah.

And it was amazing. But you said it's evolved. So for people who may not know about your work yet, can you tell us a little bit about your journey with Reiki and then how that evolution of psychic Reiki?

Brett 9:12

Yeah, sure. So I got into Reiki. I got exposed to Reiki in the early 1990s. After having a very challenging experience at the NYU Dental Center where a student pulled a wisdom tooth. It was very rough with my mouth and. I was in a lot of pain. I went home that evening. My jaw was totally swollen. And a dear friend of mine named Evan dod was my roommate at the time. He did Reiki. He was a Reiki practitioner. He never really talked about Reiki, so I didn't know what Reiki was. But when he saw me, he immediately offered some Reiki for me. And I noticed it's not that the pain went away a hundred percent, but I noticed immediately when he touched my face that I felt connected to something that big, felt bigger than me and bigger than the pain. And it was this knowing that there was this kind of divine, compassionate force that was holding me in that moment. And I could feel it. I could feel it in every cell in my body, and I knew that well, also, the pain did diminish quite a bit. It didn't go ahead a hundred percent, but it diminished quite a bit. And so I had this sense of. All enveloping universal compassion around me. I was like, oh, I'm gonna get through this. Okay. And it just took me into a whole different place. And I'm also like, what is this stuff? I wanna learn more about this. So shortly after that, I got my, my first degree attunement from a woman named Alka Pet Palm, who was a member of the Reiki Alliance. I had a very lovely, it was basically a one-on-one training from her. And then just to fast forward on my journey a few years later I was living in Yellow Springs, Ohio and got my second degree from a woman named Mary Roberson, who was a Reiki master in Ohio and also Tennessee. And I was co-owner of a bookstore and as part of our exchange, we pr were promoting her work in exchange for her attuning, me and my business partner to a second degree. And then in 1995, while being seasonal staff at Omega Institute, I got my master level from, reiki master named Mary Eck, whose lineage goes back through to William. She wasn't taught directly by William, but she was taught by one of his students. And so after I got my master level, I then began exploring in my own way different shamanic techniques and how could I blend? So I was actually in, moved to San Francisco and I was working with a Huna shamanic practitioner. And again, Una's, the Hawaiian shamanism. And he was very old very old, very short, reminded me of Yoda. Had a very good sense of humor. And he'd actually known Hawaii, Tata. He had, he and it's not that he was teaching me Reiki, he was teaching me these shamanic techniques, but sometimes he would talk about Ada. And he had mentioned that he felt that he actually helped convince her to move from Hawaii to San Francisco.'cause he felt that she would have a better reach Yeah. In terms of her work there. So I began experimenting with different. Huna processes for connecting with your higher self and working with Reiki. And so that, that became the form of my first couple books in Reiki. So the Reiki Magic Guide to Self Attunement and Reiki for spiritual Healing. But in 2007, actually when I was doing the final edits on my first Reiki book, I was traveling in Asia and I was in the country of Laos. I was traveling by myself. I got very sick at one point. And all the guidebooks said, if you can avoid going to a Laotian hospital, it's much better to do that because it's more likely if you go to one that you're gonna come out of that hospital with something much worse than what you had going in.

Basically. Meaning that the quality of healthcare is not that great there,

right? Yeah.

Brett 12:33

So my solution was hey, I call myself an energy healer. Let's. Put this to use. And so I literally just hid in my room for a couple days straight and did nonstop energy healing on myself, my liver, not my liver. My spleen was swollen, about the size of a small grapefruit and it had a very intense fever. And so while I was doing energy healing on myself and I was doing Reiki, but I was also doing some other forms of healing. And at one point I heard a voice in my head say, would you like a new spleen? And I'm like, yeah. And instantly, suddenly I felt fine. Now, am I saying that physically that a new spleen appeared in my body? No, I'm not saying that, but I think there was some kind of instant transmutation that occurred on many levels in that moment.

And so suddenly the fever was gone, the swelling was gone. I feel I'm okay, except I felt a little weak.'cause I hadn't eaten for a couple days. So I wanted to get some food. I went out there was a small Indian food establishment near the guest house where I was. And so I went there, I sat down, I ordered some All Lugo, which is one of my favorite Indian meals. And it was, the seating was outside. There were these little plastic, white plastic chairs and a little plastic table. And so I'm sitting at a table and there's an empty or seemingly empty white plastic chair next to me. And suddenly I felt this amazing energy just appear in this chair. Again, nothing physical, but just this amazing energy. And I had this immediate understanding that it was the spirit of Ikawa sui. And from his spirit there was this ball of light that came into the area of my heart chakra and it put me into this altered state. So I would I didn't totally understand what it was at first. For the period of weeks afterwards, I would go in and out of these altered states where I would sometimes see these very complex mathematical equations. I'm not a mathematician, but I know a complex math equation when I see it. And the equations were, they weren't just, they didn't just involve math, but they also involved color. And musical notation if you could imagine a one that, that is B flat and red and another one that is blue and f sharp it was really wild. I was seeing all this stuff. These crazy.

Yeah.

Brett 14:35

And in my mind I referred to it as multidimensional math. Again, I'm not a mathematician so I don't fully understand it, but whenever I would see these, I would have this intense sensation just of that eternal presence that exists in everything, even in like in a chair or a spoon or a glass of water. Like I could just feel that presence. And while these are, these experiences are going on for a couple weeks, I eventually came to realize, oh, and that wasn't just a ball of light. There's actually an energetic crystal now in my energy field that is made out of the energy of Reiki. And I began to realize that I could work with that crystal and that I could ask that crystal to send Reiki and it would. And then this evolution went on for a period of months, and I eventually coined the term psychic Reiki from that. So what I mean by that is that, that you can talk to the crystal psychically. So first I just, I thought I had to speak to it verbally, and then I realized, oh, if the crystal is made out of Reiki and if Reiki has that divine intelligence in it within it, which I believe it does, then I don't need to speak with my voice. I can just speak with my mind and it will still have an effect. And so it does. And so that's where the term psychic Reiki came from. And so in psychic Reiki the practitioner, if you wanna use your voice, that's fine, but I prefer using my mind. You just speak to the crystal and you ask it to send Reiki to different things and it will do and it can also give shape to the energy. So in traditional Reiki, I think of it being more like a wave or a flow of energy. And the Reiki crystal can do that, but it can also shape the energy into different geometric forms or what I refer to as Reiki lasers, like intense beams of Reiki light, or sometimes what I refer to as Reiki holograms, where it'll make a, like a Reiki replica of a specific organ or organ system, and then infuse that into the body so it could do these things that were outside the traditional framework of Reiki. And so that, that eventually evolved into a couple books that I wrote on it. First one had a horrible title, which I totally take responsibility for, called New Reiki Software for Divine Living because I thought, oh, it's a new download in Reiki, but that's horrible.

That's the one that I have

horrible title. It's a good book, but a horrible title. And then the second book I'm just like let's just call it Psychic Reiki. That's what it is. Yeah. And that had a few additional techniques which developed over time, and I've just now been working on completing a new. I don't have the publisher yet, but I'm gonna, work on that over the next couple weeks that I've called Ultras Psychic Reiki,

and ultra psychic Reiki came in about two years ago, and I was very influenced actually by having taken the holy fire trainings with William. And what I really appreciated about that was not just the beautiful energy, which is amazing, but also how he still links it to the lineage. Like he's not cutting it off from the lineage. There's this, and I'm like, oh, and I looked back and I, I feel like, oh, with my psyche Reiki work, I don't feel like I've really linked it to the lineage so much. So I decided I'm gonna teach an online program. This was two years ago. I'm gonna teach an online program that meets once a month that's gonna really explore Reiki, master techniques, traditional Reiki master techniques, but also bring in psychic Reiki and. So that was my intention. The night before the first class, I'm lying in bed, with no intention of anything other than I've got a class tomorrow to teach. And I, I feel above me, above my bed this kind of portal open. And suddenly this thing just like downloads into my system. It felt like it was downloaded not even directly by a sui. This time it felt like it was really more from the brothers and the sisters of the light. Like it was more like a collection of beings that were downloading this to me. And it came into the area of the Reiki crystal, but it was around the Reiki crystal. It wasn't upgrading the crystal itself. It was like this new energetic structure that now existed around my Reiki crystal that I call the Reiki rainbow sphere. And as I was playing with it that night, and also into the next morning before I taught the class I began to notice the energy felt much stronger. But there were also these very different specific lines of light that were coming out of it. And I was given very specific terms. What to call these lights. So the first one I'll refer to as Diamond Reiki, which I don't want to confuse that with the energy of a diamond, which is different, but this is what the energy wanted to call itself. So I'll just go with that. So there was di there's Diamond Reiki, which is much more just about, clearing things for you on that spiritual path. Working on your own, soul's growth, working, really on things about clarity on your mind and spiritual path and those kind of higher vibrational aspects that we like to work on in energy healing. And there's a very different light that was calling itself Sapphire Reiki, which had a blue soothing, very relaxing, very deeply relaxing energy. Then there's another energy that was calling itself Emerald Reiki, which was much more about just balance and very nurturing. But it felt different than the Sapphire Reiki, whereas the Sapphire Reiki was more just almost knock you out and put you to sleep. Or deeply relaxing. The Emerald Reiki was just much more about finding a sense of balance and working things into a space of harmony. And then there's this mother other energy that was, had a red light to it that was calling itself Ruby Reiki. That's just much more activating, energizing, and then there was a fifth energy that, that really just comes through as a blessing towards the end of a session that was calling itself the golden light of heaven. And so with ultra psychic Reiki, it's just weaving these different bands of light through and still using some of the techniques that I've used in, in, in psychic reikis. Things like Reiki lasers, Reiki holograms, Reiki portals, Reiki meditations, but with these kind of higher octaves of light. And I still, there's still times when I'm still using my Reiki crystal, which is just simply easier to use because I don't have to think of which band of light am I gonna use? All this kinda stuff, right? Times that I'm just still using, plain old psychic Reiki in a healing, but having the option to do the ultra psychic Reiki, which again, it just feels like it bumps things up to another octave has been very useful in my practice. And so I, I've used it in a lot of group healings that I've been doing. And even the other night there was a healing I did on somebody where and I'm not gonna name the person, they're actually very well known, but they wrote me back and they're like, because in, in the healing, I was talking about something going on with their foot and I was talking about some, something about a person who was a younger person who I was really sensing through the energy that was important. But in my mind, I kept thinking about this was in the past. It was actually it was something that when she wrote me, she's this just happened, like everything you said. But it wasn't from the past. It literally just happened. So again, it was just all this kind of layering of stuff that, that anyway, it's fun stuff.

It really is. Oh my gosh. And I absolutely I have a picture of just each of the gems in each of the layers or level. It's fascinating. That's amazing, Brett.

Brett 21:39

Yeah. Yeah.

Pam 21:41

Thank you. Gosh, I don't I don't know where to go from there. I wanted to ask you about intuition.

Brett 21:47

Yeah.

Pam 21:47

And the fact that Reiki often opens our psychic abilities. Yeah. Like with me, with the animal Reiki or animal communication. It was learning Reiki that, I had actually deliberately closed my intuition and Reiki really opened it up and

it brought the entire, I was teaching animal communication before I was teaching Reiki, actually. And I'm, my book is entitled The Accidental Animal Communicator because I was just trying to become a better horse trainer.

I wasn't actually trying to develop a new course or anything like that, but once people find out that, you have these psychic abilities to, to communicate with animals, then

your inbox is full of people that need help. And so tell me a little bit about the psychic side of what you've been experiencing.

Brett 22:43

Yeah. So I do believe true everything you say is true. I think Reiki in general, whether you're calling it psychic Reiki or

the traditional Reiki I believe it en enhances our intuition in part just because it's helping to release blockages and energetic debris from our field. So then we are becoming, the more we return to our more authentic, energetic state of being. Then those natural functions, I think we're all born with certain innate intuitive psychic abilities. And then we, I think we shut them off or we are conditioned to shut them off as we move through, our family system, our schools, et cetera. And so Reiki I think helps clear all a lot of that, and so even in traditional Reiki, I think there's gonna be an opening to being more psychic and more intuitive. I do try to emphasize that, that my book and my work with psychic Reiki is more focused on that aspect of, oh, you're in psychic communication with the divine intelligence of Reiki through your Reiki crystal. But yes, I think it still, it certainly enhances a person's psychic ability and psychic awareness. And also, what I always en encourage people to do when I'm doing the psychic Reiki trainings is to literally go into a place of surrender, of intuitively listening. What does the energy want me to do? And so in that there is a deeper level of relying on your intuition, relying on your own psychic awareness. In this case, it's your psychic awareness of what is the intelligence of the energy asking me to activate in this moment. But it is going into that place of surrender where it just, to me feels like you're, like, healing becomes not so much about trying to fix anyone. It's more like you're having fun and playing in this energetic field with the divine. And as you're doing that, oh, these amazing healings occur. So it's totally flips it all on its head, right? I don't have to fix anybody. It's I'm just gonna go play with the divine. I'm in this open childlike space, and then these really wonderful healings happen like almost spontaneously out of that.

I love that. And I think. That whole childlike wonder that has been coming up for me so much recently, especially since Africa and, having an opportunity to meet the animals that were part of my childlike wonder. I keep thinking about that, just how important that is to just step into simplicity, surrender. Like you said, just surrender and allow can you tell us, you wrote, you wrote one of the earliest books on psychic Reiki. What does that term mean to you, and how is it different from traditional intuitive healing? And you may have answered that in the sense that when you spoke about the crystal, but I'll let you answer that in your words.

Yeah. So again, for me, when I'm referring to psychic Reiki, I'm just referring to that. That direct psychic link that becomes established between the practitioner who has their Reiki crystal that's sitting in front of their heart chakra, and that they can just learn quite easily how to speak to that with their mind. And so in that very simple function, that's what I mean by psychic Reiki. And I will say that any form of Reiki also is enhancing, I think a person's intuitive capabilities.

Now, what I would add to that as well is that there's something that's very easy about working with psychic Reiki in the sense that, and again, I love traditional trainings, but with psychic Reiki, you're not having to worry so much about, am I getting the hand positions right? Which symbol am I using? You're just literally just talking to the energy with your mind, and it's doing It knows. It knows what symbols to use, it knows all that. And so in that inherent simplicity. I think it, it becomes much more easy for people to literally integrate the healing into their daily life, right? So it's not just about the healing on the table with the somebody you're working on or yourself, but it's about being able to integrate that into your life, whether it's, riding on the subway or getting ready for a potentially tense meeting at work. You can be activating these tools and it's not that I would be sending Reiki to my coworkers without their consent. I wouldn't do that, but I can be certainly working on myself as something maybe tense is arising in the work atmosphere, or I can be doing things that are helping to clear the space of the room and other levels of work that are very easy.'cause I'm just having a mental conversation with my Reiki crystal and it's doing the work. So I think that ability for people to just bring that into their daily life. Means that they're using it more. And as they're using it more, then I think that further deepens that cycle of more clearing is happening, and therefore more in intuitive capability is opening. So I think on that level, yes, there is a psychic component that I don't maybe necessarily talk about so much in the book, but I do think it's enhancing that for people.

I love that. And, I do that too, Brett. I'll, I guess I, it is just something I've intuitively done. Like I'll clear a space before I get there and I'll use the energy to just send ahead to anywhere I'm going, anything I'm doing. And that's brilliant. Now, ultra Psychic Reiki, can you talk a little bit more about that and what you've noticed? I love the thought of it. Connecting with the different gems, and I could very get a vivid image of the colors as you were describing that. What else have you noticed about it? What else would you like to tell us about?

One other technique that has developed with ultra psychic Reiki that hasn't really manifested so much with psychic Reiki even though I've tried it with psychic Reiki it, I don't really notice that deep of an effect when I'm doing it. But with ultra psychic Reiki, it's literally creating let's, a technique that I often use is creating a sapphire Reiki power symbol, right? So if you think of that power symbol, but embodied as sapphire Reiki,

And then having the Reiki rainbow sphere literally move that back and forth through a particular area of the body or through a particular timeline. And I find when it does that, that it just takes. The healings to a whole other level. So what I'll often do since Sapphire Reiki is about soothing, relaxing, what I'll often do towards the beginning of my group healings when I'm doing this work is I'll have the the Reiki rainbow sphere move that sapphire Reiki power symbol back and forth along a person's vagus nerve, almost like a ping pong ball, just moving back and forth. So it's just doing a deep, soothing of that vagus nerve, which is often then opens people up to be more receptive to the rest of the healing. So that's just one, one technique. The another technique that I've worked with this is embodying the mental emotional healing symbol with emerald Reiki, and literally, again, inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to move that. Literally through certain neuropathways in a person's brain that might be holding a specific issue that person needs to work on. Maybe it's a certain limiting selfie that they have. And so literally asking the Reiki rainbow sphere to move that and, move that symbol, or in sometimes maybe a combination of symbols as emerald Reiki, which again is about finding harmony and balance and to work to release that. So again, there's the, these other levels to ultra psychic Reiki that I didn't really see being present with psychic Reiki, if that makes sense.

It's fascinating and honestly I am excited to go try that now, just I wonder if that's something we can do. What are you hearing from people who are working with this energy? What are they saying about it?

Brett 30:50

People really like it. I've got a online course that I, where I teach it and the, I, there's also a Facebook group for that, so for people to do practice sessions and stuff and all the feedback about it is really very positive right now. And I actually had, there was a recent comment of a number of students saying, Hey, so can we teach this now? And I'm like, I'm not ready to, this isn't like a teacher program yet. And that actually is what really inspired me to oh, I really need to get the book created on this so that there's this kind of the document that will

Accompany anybody who then wants to, teach it. And the download happened so quickly, it was literally like a process of about two weeks of intensive writing and it felt. The book feels pretty much done. Now, obviously once you send something to a publisher, copy editor might say, oh, you need to change this paragraph or change this. But the book as a whole, to me, feels done. And so it's just about, lining things up, and I'm just trusting that the universe will have my back, and in terms of finding the right publisher, et cetera. So it's just been a wild journey with this work. And again, I never envisioned that a new aspect of psychic Reiki was gonna come through. I was just intending to teach a class with some students that was gonna bring some psychic Reiki work together with traditional Reiki master techniques. And then this whole other thing just dropped through. There is one other piece that, that I wanna mention. And I think just because given the state of the world and that I really feel that, all Reiki traditions, I believe work towards creating what I refer to as a citizen of peace, right? That we're all, that we're all, you can go back to the precepts. And I think, may maybe a sui doesn't use that term citizen of peace, but if you embody the energy of the precepts, I think you become a citizen of peace in your life and that ripples out into the world. And so when I was working again the book felt like this download. And so this is actually a very recent development with the ultra psychic Reiki work because it's not a technique that I had established for when it initially came through, but I kept hearing, oh, the trees wanna work with the trees, wanna work with us. I'm like, okay. And so in the book, there's these different healing grids. There's the sapphire Reiki, galactic healing grid. There's a Diamond Reiki galactic, and there's those, but then there's this other grid that was created with the trees, which is just about that energy of peace. And I just kinda refer to it as the ultra psychic Reiki tree grid for peace. And so it's, again, it's just going on in, in its own direction, and I'm just following it, trying to chase behind it, going, hope I didn't leave anything out, so it's working with that energy too, and just seeing the trees as being just like the trees, our sentient beings, just like the animal kingdom or sentient beings. I think, I think when often, when we as human beings think about the world and world peace, that we often forget that, that we can't really be at peace with each other if we're at war with the planet or at war with the animal kingdom or the forests, et cetera. There's something about including these other sentient beings in this goal for peace and this wanting to establish a sense of peace.

I love that. And I truly understand the inclusion of trees we were confused with when we were developing animal Reiki because trees kept showing up and the, these great trees, great mother trees, and with the energy of creation around them and the divine feminine and masculine completely balanced. And that I believe that the trees have so much wisdom for us, and I've discovered that the animals have so much wisdom for us, and if we just would listen. And I think, yeah, I think the solutions to all the world's problems are at hand if we pay attention and, if we maybe surrender and allow, and and you're right, our outer world is always going to resemble our inner world as well, I believe. And so just moving into peace within our inner world is going to have an impact on the planet, on the outer world. So I just, I love how we so often get drawn in similar directions, even if we're coming at it from a different angle. Yeah. We receive so much of the same thing. In fact, the Tree of Life showed us that the roots of the Tree of Life and even the crowns work together to form the flower of life and And just the beauty of that Fibonacci sequence and. That's amazing. What would someone who is interested in learning about this Reiki, what would they need as a prerequisite or to prepare Brett, what are your thoughts there?

Brett 35:33

Yeah, so that's a very good question. So for psychic Reiki there's never been a prerequisite. It was just more this is another entryway Into Reiki. And I was always like, seeing it as not a replacement for traditional training, but as a way for people to access it and be able to use it in their daily lives. And then and yes I recommend you get training if you wanna start doing this in terms of any kind of professional capacity. Because there's aspects to that kind of training that I think are essential for anybody who's wanting to. Engage the public and charge money and do those kinds of things for it. For a while when the ultra psychic Reiki came in, because it came in when I was doing a master level training at the same time, right? I had made the assumption of oh, somebody needs to be a Reiki master to do this work. And that was something that I felt for a while. But as, as I was tuning into writing the book, what I got was like no. This needs to be open to anybody who wants to receive it. And there also needs to be that same disclaimer of this is for you in your life, to work on your own stuff. And if you then think you wanna go out and do things with other people, then you need to get the proper training for that. And so that's how I'm framing it within the book. And again, the book isn't published yet, but so I'm, we're always evolving. And like I said, initially I was like, no, a person needs to be a master level to do this. We're, and that's also why I've just recently changed my position because I wasn't planning to share this at the Wisdom of Reiki conference, but now I am. And so I will be doing both a psychic Reiki empowerment and also an ultra psyche Reiki empowerment

For anyone who's there that weekend. Just as a way of getting this energy out there. And also because I do believe it helps enhance each person's own abilities and practice. And because I just feel like that that energetic obstacle that I think was really just my own perception that I was layering onto things that wasn't really about the innate truth of things. It's just what my mind was thinking. Oh. Just came in as part of a master level training. You must have to be a master level to do it. And what I'm hearing is that no, you don't have to be, as long as you, don't then try to pretend that you are a professionally trained healer.

Just because you read a book or just because of something like that. Yeah.

Yeah. I think there's we sometimes get asked about online and in person classes, and I actually don't find a difference as long as it's all done in real time. Rather than like prerecorded or whatever have you. And I know even with my animal communication work, Brett, one of my students observed once she said, I know you think you're teaching us how to, how to do animal communication through theory, but I think it's spending time with you that's causing this to transfer to us. And it's not an original thought I would've had myself, but when she said that, I went, oh, that sounds true There sounds like there's truth to that. So I felt into it and realized, wow, that's not so different from Yasui. When he first began teaching Reiki or sharing the Reiki energy with people, you would meditate with him. And over time you would become attuned to Reiki or you it would. It would transfer that enlightenment would transfer to you. And then after the great Canto earthquake, he prayed, there must be a faster or more efficient way. And he was shown the attunements. And so I'm so grateful that you'll be giving those attunements at that conference. I really can't wait. I know with the psychic Reiki, the installation of the Crystal I had done that with you during the wisdom of Reiki conference that I spoke at a few years ago. And it was astounding. I, so now I can't wait for this ultra psychic attunement. And so I agree with you that reading a book can be great. Or even prerecorded classes for, for understanding something, but there does seem to be something about real time.

Yeah. So like I'm in, in agreement with you I don't I don't do like traditional Reiki trainings in terms of any pre-recorded format. Because I wanna be able to know, oh, does that person understand the hand positions? Do they know

know, do they get all these pieces that I wanna be able to see that and verify that With the, with some of my other work that, that doesn't involve those pieces. I do have prerecorded classes, but then there's a, it, there's a final piece where they have to do some healing work with me, where I'm then able to verify like, oh you have an understanding of how to use this work in a way that I feel okay. Putting my name up on. But yeah, I don't, I know sometimes there's a lot of, and I people have their own path and their own way of doing things. That's right. I don't do, the prerecorded, oh, here you are now you're Reiki master at the end of two weeks. Or what, whatever it might be.'cause I really feel like there's that sense of personal engagement and also being able to witness as the teacher, does the student understand what's being taught?

Yeah. And I feel like sometimes there's a transference of some sort, like as we do the attunements and of course with holy fire, we don't do the attunements, the energy does.

Which has been fantastic. Yeah. I think there's a role for all of it, isn't there?

Yeah.

This is fantastic. Let's circle back a little bit. Actually, let's talk for a minute just about guides and symbols. Yeah. Are there any, is there any of that with ultra psychic Reiki?

Brett 41:32

So my mind with both psychic Reiki and ultra psychic Reiki is that the, both the Reiki crystal and the Reiki rainbow sphere in my mind ha have the symbols within them. Right? And for example, perfect example is with psyche Reiki crystal that Reiki crystal can send to somebody. So it's optimizing the usage of the distance symbol. But the practitioner doesn't need to ask it to do that because the crystal already knows to do that. So in that way, I believe the intelligence of the system is already in the crystals and also already in the Reiki rainbow sphere. So I believe the symbols are in there, but a person doesn't need to necessarily again, have the previous training to fully understand it.'cause the crystal's doing the work, right? So you're stepping out of the way the crystal's doing the work. You're just asking it, can you do this? Can you please do that? With the ultra psychic Reiki, there is some usage of some of the symbols, but again, the crystal already, the Reiki rainbow sphere knows those symbols, and so it knows how to create a, sapphire power symbol or an emerald mental emotional healing symbol, or a diamond, a sui master symbol. Like it knows how to do those. So in that way it's integrated into it. And so there's some work with the symbols on that level, but it's not, it's different than traditional training where you're, you're memorizing the lines and strokes and how the symbol looks. And in that way, I hope this makes sense.

It does to me. And I really love it. I think that. Many of us have been drawn to crystals throughout, and we know that there's an intelligence in crystals. And if we ever question that I recently had a student who had, was CEO of a software company, and she talked to me which I wasn't even thinking about. She's think about the crystals in your computer, and what they're able to do. And it just blew my mind. I was like, oh, I wasn't thinking about that. And so we do, we know that there is this intelligence, this information in crystals. And one of the things that I loved, I remember in my first masterclass that I studied with William Rand, we were in England. A lot of people brought actual crystals and set them down. And after the attunement, the crystals had changed. Brett, there were cracks and bubbles and cloudiness where there hadn't been before. Like you, you couldn't tell it so much with the darker colored crystals, but the clear quartz and the lighter colored crystals. You, you looked at the crystal before and after the attunement and they had changed, which tells me that they are that. Yeah. I just love the connection with crystals in this energy.

I just have to share this briefly when you were talking about the software developer it reminds me when I first began studying energy, and this was just before actually I even got into Reiki, but there was a. A fellow I was doing some studying with in New York City, and I remember him once telling me about crystals. And he was like, a again, at that time, the whole internet thing hadn't really exploded yet, and he was he was referencing, oh, like the quartz crystal that makes your watch run, right? There's energy, there's wisdom in these, we think of them as just minerals, but they're beings, right? Anyway, I just wanted to share that, but,

If you think about it, and even looking at the minerals that we need in order to have electric cars and the batteries and all of the things, so yes. There is intelligence in and energy in these minerals. I love that. I don't know why it, they've become an integral part of our lives and we just take it for granted. We forget, or I do, I forget.

It's crystals that keep the watch going and the Yeah. The computers and, amazing. Brett, let's circle back to the wisdom of Reiki conference. Can you tell me a little bit about what inspired that gathering in the first place and how people can join us?

Brett 45:59

So I will I will brief history of it. So when I was invited to be part of the programming department at Omega I worked at Omega for a number of years, but I used to just run the staff programs. But in 2017, I moved into the programming department and I was just like, wow, we have all these conferences here. Why don't we have a Reiki conference? And the first Reiki conference we had, it didn't have a whole lot of people, and I was a little disappointed, the quality was fine, but just in terms of the enrollment, we, I think we had maybe 40 people or something. But I had already, before that conference had happened, I had already booked the next year, right? And so the next year we had better enrollment. And I think that was just, we had presenters who maybe were better known. We had, William was part of it, Bronstein was part of it, other people. And it was. I remember at the end of that conference, I hadn't gone on to book a third one yet because I was so disappointed by the enrollment of the first one, and the second one had already been booked by the time the first one occurred. And so I was just like, okay we're just gonna do this too. But I remember at the end of that second one, William actually came up to me in the dining hall that Sunday at lunch, the conference is over, in my mind, it has run its route. And he came up to me and he said, you have to keep doing these, right? He goes, this was a really wonderful event. You should really keep doing these. And I was like, oh. So I actually feel I have to credit William for the fact that we have these annual conferences now at Omega, because in my mind I thought, okay, the first one was a little bit of a flop. The second one did okay. And I loved it, but it just didn't occur to me like, oh, keep doing this. And so I really credit William for that.

Amazing. And I think there were over a hundred people when I was with you, Brett. Yeah. Yeah. Amazing. I'm so glad. And how does somebody register? We can put a link in the in the podcast notes if anybody's interested in registering.

Brett 48:39

I think there's one thing about, we've, whether it's you or me or William or Colleen or any teacher who's had their own path, right? That that when we're teaching, it's gonna be just because we are limited, that with our own bodies and in our own experience, that's always gonna be limited by our own experience. But when you have a conference where there are multiple presenters, then you know, my experience is going to be influenced by the things you're saying, by the things that William's saying, by the things that. The people who are in the audience are bringing in terms of questions, et cetera. And so it literally starts to amplify the energetics of what's occurring, right? It's when I look at the natural world the, a healthy ecosystem is one that's diverse, right? It's one that has a variety of things going on, different plants, different animals. And so when I look at the world of energy healing, I think the same thing. I want that sense of diversity. I want this sense of different points of view, different modalities, different ways of exploring Reiki, because I think when there is that difference. Of, oh, this is how I see it and this is how I see it. And then you find that meeting point of where those two come together. And then you, I think from that then there's a whole other level of wisdom that evolves. I even looking at my own path when I think how did I, why did ultra psychic Reiki came through after I had trained with William and gained this appreciation of, while the way William really links the holy fire and the Una to the whole tradition of Reiki, he's not cutting it off. It's linked. And so I thought, why am I not doing that with my own work? So had there not been that connection, would I even have taught that class that then brought through, so I think it's in this amplification of us receiving information from each other and having that bounce and synthesize into something new and different, that this whole evolution continues in a really. Dynamic way. And so that's what I love about these conferences, that sense of dynamic activity that occurs when you have different presenters, different points of view, different people in the audience, with their questions and their input. And it just amplifies into its own thing that is beyond what any individual might bring. So it's almost like it's beyond the sum of its parts. It becomes something bigger.

Yeah. There's a synergy that's creative. Yeah, I think, and I also, even with this podcast, I was shown that I had a lot of resistance to doing this podcast.'cause I wasn't very good with technology and I knew that it would be a quite a lot of work. I wasn't certain if I had the time to, to do that. And I'm so grateful that I just followed the Reiki guidance anyway and did it because, but what the guidance showed me that really locked it in place for me was that people are. As we are exposed to different perspectives, we get to know source better, or God, or the energy, whatever you wanna call it. Like all of these different perspectives are giving us more understanding, more wisdom. And so I think your title, the Wisdom of Reiki conference is absolutely perfect. Brett, if there's one message you would like Reiki practitioners to take away about Reiki, about their own development about psychic Reiki and ultra psychic Reiki, what would it be?

Brett 52:13

I would say to trust where the energy wants to take you, where the energy of Reiki wants to take you because I think it will. It will open you to things on your path that may, in many cases even be beyond Reiki. But that would, it will put you on the right place to meet the right person, whether that's to open the right business or to study the right thing. Like just trusting in that flow of the energy. And even just trusting that when you're doing a session, whether it's on yourself or another person, just trusting that flow of the energy. In my own journey, I feel like that's what I've done is just trusting, I didn't go to Laos with the intention of discovering Psyche Reiki. I was just following the energy. I got sick. I just followed my own protocol. Let me get through this. And so the thing, the universe will just kind of line things up for you if you just trust the flow. And so that's what I would say, just trust where Reiki wants to take you. And surrender to that.

I totally agree. I wasn't trying to create animal communication either. I was just following the flow and it showed up. And the same with animal Reiki and yeah. I love it. Brett would you like to lead us in a meditation today?

Let's not be doing any of those things while you're receiving some energy healing. So just make sure you've got the right space for it and then get seated or lying down. And I'm just gonna begin by asking the Reiki rainbow sphere to, put you into the Diamond Reiki galactic healing grid. And from here I'm also because the Reiki rainbow sphere can do many things simultaneously, I'm inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to manifest a sapphire power symbol sapphire Reiki power symbol. And to begin moving that back and forth along your vagus nerve, just to help relax and fully relax the vagus nerve. And simultaneously, I'm asking the Reiki rainbow sphere to send sapphire Reiki to your brain and nervous system. And I'm also inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to manifest sapphire Reiki lasers connecting each and every bone in your body to each and every other bone in your body, manifesting a beautiful web of Sapphire Reiki light to existing inside of you now. And I'm also inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to manifest Sapphire Reiki lasers running. Through all of your organs and organ systems through time from the moment of your birth up to the present moment, just help relax any energies on those timelines as well. And from here, I'm inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere also to manifest an emerald mental emotional healing symbol in the center of your head. And just asking that symbol to vibrate and oscillate at whatever frequency is best for you in terms of bringing a sense of mental emotional harmony to your day. From here, I'm also gonna invite the Reiki rainbow sphere to send some Ruby Reiki moving starting at your feet and moving upwards through your feet, through your legs, up into the base of your spine, and then moving that up through your spine all the way out. The top of your crown going all the way to your connection to the divine, and just sending some ruby Reiki there. And from here I'm inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere also to connect us all now with the ultra psychic Reiki tree grid for peace. And just to connect us with that tree grid and just put us as a whole, as a collective into that peace tree grid, just so that we can know our own path of being a citizen of peace in the world, how to embody that sense of peace with our actions and our steps, how to walk the talk of peace and to also just align with your own deepest sense of inner peace where that belongs for you and your. Life and in your energy field. And from here I'm also gonna invite the Reiki rainbow sphere to manifest a octahedron of diamond Reiki around you and inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to manifest a cube of ruby Reiki around that octahedron of diamond Reiki around you. And asking the Reiki rainbow sphere to manifest a pyramid of emerald Reiki around that cube of diamond around that cube of ruby Reiki around that octahedron of diamond Reiki around you, and asking the Reiki rainbow sphere to manifest a sphere of sapphire Reiki around that pyramid of emerald Reiki around that cube. Of Ruby Reiki around that octahedron of diamond Reiki around you now. And from here, inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to send the golden light of heaven as a blessing to seal this healing. We'll invite that once again, inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to send the golden light of heaven as a blessing to seal this healing. And from here now I'm inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to shift all the different lines of light that it's been sending to now be for the most gentle and most perfect form of integration. And as that integration is continuing to unfold, just inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to also bring you into a sapphire Reiki meditation for deep stillness and inner peace. And I'll invite the Reiki rainbow sphere just to send one final blessing of the golden light of heaven. And this one gonna invite the Reiki rainbow sphere just to send that, not just to you now, but also out into your day, inviting the Reiki rainbow sphere to send the golden light of heaven to you. Now rippling out into your day. And from here, just let yourself bring your awareness back to your body. Let yourself notice the sensation of the clothing or the blanket against your skin. Let yourself be aware of the feeling of the chair or the bed or the couch supporting you, and just slowly bring your awareness back into your body, back into the room, back into this time and space. And I will just send one last little juice of some ruby Reiki just to help energize you to be a little bit closer to a state of normal waking consciousness. I'm gonna invite the Reiki rainbow sphere to send some Ruby Reiki to you. Just help bring your energy back up to just sending that now. So that's a little. Ultra psychic Reiki experience.
